Is Red Flush Casino still accredited? Really??

To start with, I stopped playing in RF for a long time, mainly because I was mad at them for constant spamming and telephone advertising calls coming in the middle of the night (apparently they thought that the Earth is flat and we all live in the same time zone). Yet, yesterday I had nothing better to do and decided to deposit a token amount of $25 to waste some time away. Big mistake. First, the deposit was processed but not credited to my casino balance. Second, the CS promised to contact me ASAP and they never did - I found out the funds are finally credited only by logging in the next day. Third, I decided I'd better stay away and asked them to close my account and refund the lousy $25 (with the min. withdrawal limit being $50) - and I did not like much the way they went about it:

rfver01284322: I want this 25$ refunded back to Skrill
John: I am sorry, but we do not do refunds.
rfver01284322: You obviously can't close my account with funds still in it, or can you?
John: I would advise that you make use of the funds first.
rfver01284322: I do NOT want to play in your casino, very simple :)
rfver01284322: I want my account closed with immediate effect and any remaining funds refunded
John: I can close it with your balance in there, but we will not be able to refund the balance.
rfver01284322: Ok,nice
ohn: How would you like me to proceed?
rfver01284322: Let me try it another way. If I deposit another 25 and withdraw the total of 50 instantly, will you process it also instantly? Or try to find another excuse?
rfver01284322: I want to forget your name and never have anything to do with you - do I have a right for this?
John: You will need to at least place bets equaling 20% of your deposits.
rfver01284322: Eh?
rfver01284322: Give me the link to the TOS saying I need to place bets before withdrawing clean non-bonus funds. Thanks
John: I'll happily check into that for you. Please allow me a moment to review the account and I will be right with you.
rfver01284322: not my account, Jonh. Your own TOS
John: I am busy with that.

The last response came like some half hour ago, giving me an impression they are now busy re-writing their TOS :) Just joking. Anyway.... How normal it is to impose WR on a player's own funds? Or better yet, does it agree with normal practices for accredited casinos? What do you guys think? I have no problem placing few bets, losing and striking this casino off my list for good, but why on earth they think they can do it? Or maybe I am a bit behind the newest developments in the industry, and it is now considered normal...

It is actually quite normal for casinos to have some playthrough terms on straight cash deposits. This is a measure to prevent money-laundering.

I was unhappy with service at Intercasino a long time ago, did just that and closed my account. Had to pay the $2 withdrawal fee however, but no playthrough was imposed.

In your case however, as an established and disgruntled player, I'd contact the rep and ask for help.

Let us know how it goes Fleur.

Hi Jasmine,

Well, I simply made a couple of bets to get rid of $25, and repeated my request to close the account (plus remove me from the database and stop calling me at all hours)... let's see if they'd respect this request :)

Pretty normal I would say. In fact, I think you are very lucky they only asked you to wager 20% of it - most places are at least 1 x your deposit.

For you to deposit and withdraw any amount costs the casino money in processing fees - personally I think it is fair enough for them to make these types of pretty minor wagering requirements, to at least give them a chance of making some money towards their fees.

By the way, did you know they changed owners in August 2014? That may have been after you first started playing there...?
They are now part of the Fortune Lounge Group.

i had the same problems at casino lavida...which together with red flush was taken over by fortune lounge(platinum play, royal vegas) they don't seem to care about the customers from the casinos they bought....

it was my favorite casino to play at until like you i went back after a week or so of not playing and my deposit didnt show up for three days in my account. i gave them the benefit of the doubt and actually believed them when they said my internet connection timed out when i made the deposit.

i deposited three more times after that...alll three times my deposit showed up a week later...i got in touch with chat and had the same conversation you had with them cuz i wanted a refund of my deposit that i had made a week earlier that no one ever told me had finally showed up in my account. i got tired of arguing and played the $50 and didnt win.

i do believe that they have no way of processing these deposits directly and probably have to do it from elsewhere and it takes time and they probably dont have dedicated staff. how else can you explain this. too bad...red flush and casino lavida were great at customer service. i don't play at these casinos anymore.

so yup. same same same

Had no idea of this, thanks for sharing the info. I believe the late night calls and spamming had started sometime in 2014, might well be just after the takeover.

Back to the original grant, money laundering concerns shouldn't be taken easily of course, but when a many-years' player wants to close the account due to dissatisfaction with service and problem-handling procedures and gets informed that "we can close it with your balance in there" - well, it's robbery. At least I am pretty sure it is.

I dont understand why anyone would play there really? It's a MG casino...32red seem to be the right place...no?

32red casino doesn't offer withdrawal via check. canadians do not have access to neteller or skrill just bank transfer...and ecopayz which i just discovered is available to canadians.. the other thing, ive played at 32red for a long time and never won. ive played at the above casinos and won more than 20k last year and never had a problem until they merged. i do not feel lucky at 32red. shame cuz it has such an awesome reputation.

and this question is akin to asking why one person would drink coffee instead of tea. sorry. different strokes for different folks. ;)

and i must be an idiot but what's wrong with a mg casino?

I can't see how it prevents laundering. Most casinos rightly insist on the funds giving back to the deposit method. So it would show a straight debit and credit. Thus the money wouldn't be any cleaner than it was before.

I suspect it has more to do with the fees for processing payments and withdrawals from processors.

Ok... I understand your point... :) Nothing is wrong with a mg casino. I just dont understand why people bother with these organisations when IMO there are more honest and competent ones.

Never won at 32red either... It seems harder to win at the most reputable casinos but if you do... No stress ;)

Same here

Wow, your story above is almost word for word what happened with me at RedFlush and I also got the same ridiculous "internet connection timed out" explanation from their chat operator.

I've also stopped playing there because when I make a deposit, it's because I want to have a punt NOW, not in a week's time!

Haven't bothered closing my account. I've just uninstalled their software and labelled them as spam on my email account.

yes i want to play now not in a week...lol.
isn't it terrible the way these two casinos have declined since the takeover by fortune lounge. i also used to play at fortune lounge casinos but dont anymore solely on this experience. oh well...and yes ive done the same. uninstalled and blocked their emails.

Did they close your account?, I have been trying for months and they are refusing unless I call them. I do not want to call them. But with well over 5 emails demanding my account closed they give me the same answer , call us. So gave up. Thought email would be suffice.

No I didn't bother. Just blocked their emails.

In my case they at least promised to (after some lengthy goings-around and "checking" the obvious), saying "it may take up to two days" (??).
