Is Palin hot? (me thinks yes)

I try not to comment on politics in this forum but I just wanted to say this after reading many pages of this thread...

I'm a registered Republican but prefer to think of myself as an Independent because I feel that if a politician from a different party than mine has some good or helpful views I want to hear them.

I will vote for the candidate that has the most similar views as me.

The other thing I wanted to say is that I truly think that most people get into politics to make this a better country. I know some may be power hungry etc. But what I am getting from reading some of these posts is that some of you feel like these politicians want to purposely do us harm.

I didn't care for Bill Clinton. I really didn't care for Hillary Clinton but even though I felt that way I still believed that they wanted what was best for thisIcountry.

Does that make any sense? I'm a little tired right now but I hope I got my point across.

I want the candidate that will do the best for our country to win. Whomever that is. God bless us all! Good night!

I would agree with you on that part, but the problem is just like McCain said. They go to Washington to work for themselves after they are chased by lobbist. They see others getting stuff for their state and they join the party and the tax payer suffer.

A perfect example is how after taking $700 billion of our Tax dollars they then take another $150 for crap? It's obvious that something is not right and we need to throw them ALL out and start over. :D

PFFFHHHTT!!!!

And THAT is how rumors are started!!! Word of mouth by folks with nothing better to do!

And no, before you start thinking, I am not a republican, or a democrat! I am a thoughtful, responsible voter. I vote based on the info I read and see, not on what some yahoo tries to sell me. I balance all the info out there and try to use my brains to come to a responsible explanation and/or opinion.

So based on your statements there, what do you think about each parties candidates and their platforms ??

McCain is too Damn old, Palin is too Damn inexperienced, Obama would cause havoc across the land and solid cheers across the world, I believe I might have to sit this one out, Rob. A vote for either of your choices us a waste of gas and time to go vote, nothing personal.

I do not "do politics", as a rule. It is a waste of time and causes hard feelings, generally speaking.

We all need to vote with our guts and minds, and hope for the best. I know, quite naive, huh? But, what are the "real" options?

We will either survive and grow stronger as a nation or we will perish. The Earth will continue, God willing.

Now that McPalin has gone negative it's going to get very ugly so get ready. Obama will not take the first punch, but he will finish with a knock out. :D

There is a lot of dirt out there on McPalin and now folks will dig it up.

If you see it that way then I guess it's best to do nothing so it gets better?

Hell, I'd like to vote them all out and start over. The newbies can't be as bad as the clowns there now or can they? :D LMAO

Newbies = naivety. Not my idea of a good option. I sometimes think like you, get rid of 'em all and start all over, but in the "real world", that is NOT a viable option.

If everyone that mouthed off actually "got involved" I would hazard a guess things could and would get a little bit better. Maybe not overnite, but over the long haul.

As it is, too many of us spout off and sneer, belittle the candidates without any solutions or the gumption to get involved to try and help change things. The end result, same old, same old.

And, who do we have to blame?? Hmmm? I know I am guilty, how about you guys? Robwin, Lotso, Bryand, Gamtrak, Lauriejim, 1819, Mercy? Hope I didn't forget too many of you. It takes more than voting, believe it or not.

I know that we can't start with newbies, but it we can hope. :) hehe

Who do I think is to blame? Well, as it relates to the financial crisis, I blame those that we trusted to over see this stuff. Regulation is not the answer to everthing, but common sense is.

I'm definatly upset at the current administration (dems like Barney Frank included) that did not do a very good job in their position of trust to keep our country from harm and I"m trying to stay positive. LOL I'd feel better about Barney if he could have faught as hard for online gambling like he did for other crap like Freddy/Fannie. :D

I'm watching the House Oversight Committe (CEO Hearings) and trying to get a better understanding of what happened as well as checking on the new people in charge of managing that $700 billion that will be online.

I've never been interested in polictics until this year and I'm going to do my part as an American to try to make it better no matter who is the President. We are in very bad shape, but we can get thru it and start bragging about being the best country on earth. No disrespect to my global CM buddies. :D

Gamtrak, if everyone would decide to be like you, we would be well on our way towards making things better.

And, in spite of our troubles here in The USA, we ARE one of the best countries on Earth.

Well tonights debate between McCain and Obama should be interesting too bad they don't include ALL the presidential candidates.

I am leaning towards voting for Ralph Nader myself, at least I know for a fact he was not part of the current problem, like Obama and McCain and their VP picks were.

Nader has been predicting this Banking crash for years and I believe he is the only candidate that really understands the problem and what do about it.

It is painfully obvious that neither Obama or McCain have a clue about what is actually wrong or what to do about it.

All I can say is that it is too bad Dr. Ron Paul decided not to run as an independent.

But at least Ralph Nader is NOT owned by or beholden to the rich and powerful... and unlike the other candidates, at least, Nader understands the current financial problems.

I personally don't think anyone in the USA has a clue on how to fix this mess that we are in. :D

If there is such a person out there then we definatly need to find him outside of the government.

I was watching the AIG Congressional hearings this morning and I told my husband that I'm thinking of getting my feet into the political game. I'm mad as hell at these CEO, congress and others that has gotten us here.

Remember that Nader wrote this BEFORE the current crisis.

Neither the Democrat or the Republican Candidates had a clue about the current problems before or after the crisis.

I agree about the present candidates but there was a primary candidate who did though...you know who I am speaking of...he has been talking about these current issues for years now...

well unfortunately, Dr. Paul has chosen not to run as an independent.

But even though I disagree with some of Nader's policies, like gun control (I spent most of the fall each year murdering innocent, but great tasting wild animals) I will still vote for Nader as a protest vote.

My vote for president does not really matter anyway. I live in a state that is 49th out of 51 (including Puerto Rico) in school funding. So of course, my state votes overwhelmingly Republican. ;)
