Has anyone else been getting this irritating bit of spam?

It seems to have hit all of my email adderess over the last week several times... and most disturbingly ones in no way associated with gambling or casinos so it must be a very big campaign.

I tried to get the affililiate link code but, sadly, I can't get into their geocities page.

Just wanted to report it as I, like the rest of us, LOATHE spammers.

Popping up like flies .... (And can anyone tell me what the random words are for that appear after the main email? i.e.: Nixon, infinite, etc.? They only show up in the message 'source', and I only left the first few in the quote, as they go on and on and on....)

Your's redirects here: Outdated URL (Invalid) I didn't see any affilaite tags so it may be coming from the casino itself.

Gold Vip's domain seems to have been recently created who's owners are hidden by a proxy service.

Very few backlinks. If they are not already there, they deserve the blacklist.

Scum.

I just received this same damn spam from GOLDEN GATE CASINO a few minutes ago also.....:mad:

These bastards (Golden Gate Casino from diverse email addresses) have been spamming me relentlessly for the past two weeks or more - sometimes 2 or 3 a day, which I immediately delete.

The Yahoo! geocities link in my latest from these cretins goes to a clearly skin type site for Luxtop Gaming.com - no upfront information but a big flashing download button and San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge (sort of) theme promising a dangerously generous $2 400 SUB.

On principle I wouldn't touch spammers with a bargepole.

I am guessing the random words are too help the emails get past spam filters? Anyone actually know?

Yes, exactly.

Since these are coming from so many sources, I wonder if they are hijacking computers and mail servers. I'd guess they'd almost have to be to have such a large and obviously sophisticated campaign that is managing to circumvent everyones spam filters.

P.S. If anyone is interested in the fight against spam, this is the best place to start:

Quite, Golden Gate now beats Spin Palace for spam. I get a couple or more each day.
If there is no affiliate link, and the casino's ownership itself is cloaked, it looks like the size of the campaign is down to it being run by organised criminals behind Golden VIP casino. Maybe similar to the recent "Roccos casino" attempt to con players.

The large SUB is to encourage equally large first deposits before players realise they have been ripped off and will never see the money again.

Reputable casinos should do more to stop the spam for THEIR sites, as they are going to be considered to be in the same league as these obviously scam casino sites that also use spam for marketing.

Yahoo and geocities may do something about it if complaints cause their own domains to get blacklisted for allowing members to sign up purely to produce landing pages to serve spam campaigns.

Actually, it's not $2400 at once. It's the total for their first 6 deposits - Outdated URL (Invalid)

As far as Geocities goes, they're usually quite receptive to spam sites hosted on their servers and shut them down fairly quickly; but it only takes a couple of minutes to setup another fake site.

Holp crap life chooser im on aol and get a ton off promo emails And a few spam get through. But nearly all hit my spam box.

And even know its hitting my spam box this week its been the worst ever 20 today when i got up. Any how none from golden gate tho.

Hei guys@gals maybe you need to switch to a better internet provider and pay that little extra ha haa

That was just my spam box. Virtually all my spam currently is from golden gate, with only a few from other casinos. I clear out all of the v14gra ones immediately. I keep the casino ones in case I can use them to try to stop them coming by posting on here, or going direct to the casinos.

No such luck. My attempts to stop Spin Palace spam have been going since last July, and 6 months later nothing has happend. The casino know about it, and have even been provided with information that could identify the responsible parties. The UK Gambling Commission can do nothing unless it is UK registered, whitelisting is not enough. With this stance, why the hell are the Kahnawake so worked up, it seems the advertising ban is unenforceable anyway, so why not treat it with the same contempt as they currently do the UIGEA and anti-spam laws (and the olympic games).
