In need of a push
A man and his wifer were awakened at three in the morning by a loud pounding on their door.
The man gets up and goes to the door to find a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, where he asks for a push.
"Not a chance" says the husband "it is three in the morning", and he slams the door and returns to the warmth of his bed.
"Who was that?" asks his wife. "Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he responds.
"Did you help him?" she asks.
"Are you kidding? NO I did not, it is three in the morning and it is pouring rain outside!!
Then his wife said "Cant you remember just about three months ago we broke down and those 2 men stopped to help us out? I think you should help him, and you should also be ashamed of yourself!"
The man does as he is told (of course), gets dressed and goes out into the pouring rain to help the drunk stranger.
He calls out into the darkness, "Hello are you still there?"
"Yes," comes back as the answer."
Do you still need a push?" Calls out the husband.
"Yes! Please!" comes the reply from the darkness.
"Where are you?" asks the husband. "Over here on the swing!!" Replies the drunk.
