If you were to ever win a £1million progressive

To be honest, any casino with a UKGC licence would be good to go. I know from my time 20 plus years ago at Ladbrokes, when Progressives were hit, players were lauded and feted. One such winner was even flown out to our offices in Gibraltar, put up in the best hotel on the 'Rock' and wined and dined.

The positive publicity a casino would get from having a 7 figure progressive jackpot winner would be taken full advantage of by the operator. Especially considering it is the jackpot pool, that all operators contribute to the prize, that pays out the winnings from.

However, if I won a progressive at a non UKGC licensed casino, I would be sweating until I saw the full payment hit my account.

If i hit 1M, i would feel safe on big UK high street bookie sites and Bet365. I don't play at L&L casinos but would feel safe there too because of Jan. Among non-UK sites, i would say Winz and BitStarz should be fine. I remember Winz's old rep, Jurka from Estonia, said that they paid over 600K in 30 minutes to some big winner.

Other casinos like top crypto sites (e.g., Stake) i guess should be OK, but i wouldn't feel confident there. Somebody said that a player hit max win on max bet, around 5M in total, and they paid all out in 3 days. Still, on UK bookies would be the safest bet i think.

Wasn't Toshtein by any chance?:laugh:

manner and without any SOW or other BS
KYC is standard though, although we do that automatically now a days (UK only). Unless you cant withdrawal back to the method used, we need verify bank account in order to transfer once. SOW is not related to a win, it is related to your deposit activities. That triggers the request, not a win.

Secondly, an operator who wants to be creative on a progressive win should just close its doors and leave the industry. A progressive jackpot is already paid, by players. Our ONLY cost is a new seed which all operators have to pay anyways.

If for any reason, an operator tries to not pay out the progressive jackpot the jackpot needs to be reset. This has happened with the wowpot recently, where the canadian winner couldnt verify him/herself. Reset means, all winnings go back to the pot.

We had througout my time 4 progressive wins:
- Mega Fortune 2x, both abouth 3 mio
- Mayor Millions 1x, nearly 2mio
- Mega Moolah 1x, a bit over 11mio

Once the funds were received from the provider, customer was paid in 1 go.

Not speaking about games like treasure nile or any other micrograming game. When its not mega moolah, we just pay before receiving the funds from the provider as the amounts are much less.

Have a great weekend all! :)
