How much worse is traffic coming in from social media?

I started doing casino affiliate marketing almost a month ago, from the customers I gathered last month only about 6% deposited again this month (It's the 9th).

I am not really seeing any large amounts of money, even though we have data in the hundreds. We've made a couple of hundred bucks so far. I am very new to this, so maybe it just takes some time for casinos to make back the money they spend on bonuses. However, I haven't had anyone depositing thousands of euros.

There is much more to it than just "traffic from social media"
- what do you promote/how do you incentivice players?
- who do you promote?

Our two key selling points are:

- See what welcome bonuses you've missed
- We list new bonuses

One theory I have is that this could target "bonus hunters" that only want to play the bonus and than leave.

We promote Swedish licensed casinos and I'm actually working on adding more L&L brands!

I dunno about Sweden but in the UK most affiliate programmes have severe restrictions on Social Media advertising or don't allow it at all, because it often creates a non-compliant wild west scenario. Most SM portals don't allow thrid party gambling advertising anyway although the main casinos themselves often have a SM account.

Considering most SM interaction is low-quality pointlessness, that is generally the type of player you'd recruit using SM.

So if you're trying to become an affiliate promoting decent casinos the easy (lazy) way via low-end SM posts and links without building a website to work on and to demonstrate any knowledge or authority you may have regarding gambling, I'd say you will just be one of many and will find longevity of earnings restricted.

if that is the focus retention rates in general are lower. Also now I know you are targetting Swedish players: It is hard to do CRM, so in general the stats in Sweden are a bit hard to compare with other jurisdictions since recurring bonus offers are not allowed.

However, the 6% is poor and definitely has to do with traffic source/jurisidiction/the fact you push welcome offers.

I think with even bonus traffic a retention rate of 20% should be possible. But it depends what the casino does for your players too.

If you want me to analyze the operator, send PM.

As for promoting L&L brands, dont. It is a scam operator...

Oh wait.

It's Sweden:

- Very difficult to incentivice bonus-oriented players to stay, as the casinos are only limited to offering the welcome bonus.
- As I've understood, Swedes play a lot more during paydays. Might be worth to re-evaluate after all of the players have had one payday under them.
- When the content is offer-focused (instead of branding), that probably yields by far the worst customers. Bonus hunters, or whichever name one would give them. Point being, not necessarily "gamblers". It takes a lot of signups to find the odd gambler in the mix, that actually plays frequently, and for the sake of playing (without offers)

Haha will make sure to stay away from L&L then 😂

By analyze the operator, do you mean analyzing the data? I'll send you a DM.

Thanks,
I really appreciate it!
