Is it worth playing high RTP pokies, or does it not matter?

I think you're mixing RTP with volatility. Higher RTP could result in better returns. Higher volatility could result in bigger wins but also longer losing streaks.Worth it in what way?
High RTP will most likely lead to larger wins, but it will also come with longer losing streaks. There is a greater degree of risk involved. Whether this is worth it is completely subjective, based on the players tolerance to risk and their budget - IMHO.
If you are to play any generic book game (with cash) then book of 99 is definitely the one to play@satchnz Yes, you are very right. I got that one completely wrong. I blame not having a 2nd coffee this morning
Higher RTP's would be recommended, as you will certainly get more play time for your money. Although there is never any guarantee of wins. You probably want to make sure you enjoy the game though, as just having a high RTP is not always a qualifier for enjoyment.
Bgaming are excellentI only play pokies with an RTP of 96% plus.
I like Bgaming as their slots are normally set around 97%.
Many new games are coming out at 92% - 94% which is pure robbery.
They make feature rich slots but I’ve never really hit anything crazy on them. I find them super hard to bonus too.Bgaming are excellent![]()
Not sure what you have available, guessing you play alot of crypto sites as an aussie?Thank you all for the clarification, what slots would you recommend paying attention to with a high RTP?
Oh, thanks for the whole list of recommended pokiesNot sure what you have available, guessing you play alot of crypto sites as an aussie?
I'd avoid RTGs, likely 91% on most sites, with the better sites only being 95%.
I tend to only like slots that display their RTP in the slot itself and are audited by a proper tester like BMM or ITechLabs for example.
Plenty more but thats a few providers that are nice.
- BGaming - Plenty of 97%+ (VARIABLE)
- PG Soft - Mostly 96.75%+ with a handful of 97%+ options (NOT VARIABLE)
- Spinmatic - They have around five 99% "Xtreme!" versions of their slots. (NOT VARIABLE)
- Relax Gaming - A bunch of 97% slots, a few 98%s (Cart 1, Cart 2, Marching Legions). Book of 99. Slots mentioned are often banned but money carts are the most prevalent unbanned.
- Smartsoft - A bunch of 97-98.37% slots. They used to have a 98.9% slot but after a rejig of their catalogue its no longer available. (NOT VARIABLE)
- Kalamba - Plenty of 97-98% options although can be sometimes confusing with strategy/bonusbets (VARIABLE
- Games Global - there are some 96.7-97% slots that are non-variable RTP still. (VARIABLE)
- Amatic - Has plenty of 97%+ (VARIABLE)

Thank you @mulven for that kickass list. I'm excited to search for all those and see if I can play 'em.
My two cents on the matter:
NetEnt's Blood Suckers is 98% (though I believe I've seen it set lower) and is a genuinely awesome game. There's a "stab vampires!!" bonus and a free spins bonus (3+ scatters = 15 spins @ 3x multiplier). Both can pay handsomely when they're in the mood. Stabbing a rich vampire unexpectedly rocks. (Stabbing an empty coffin on your second attempt does not rock.)
I believe it is their highest RTP offering. It's relatively low variance.
And Thunderkick's 1429 Uncharted Seas is their highest RTP offering at 98.5% (again: check documentation within the slot to confirm at your chosen casino), a game that's been relatively kind to me, too. It is the lowest variance slot that Thunderkick offers, I'm sure. I suspect it is the lowest variance slot on many sites!
The bonus is 10 free spins with no bells or whistles, just 10 plain old spins. This means you can hit it big anytime. You need Mermaid symbols and expanding ship wilds to suddenly strike it rich, but this is a game where you can slowly grind a balance up, too.
a bunch of these are commonly banned. The polar paws one is incorrect or at the very least no where uses that variant.I saw a Swedish site listing it like this:
I found it
- Mega Joker (99% RTP)
- Jackpot 6000 (98.9% RTP)
- 1429 Uncharted Seas (98.6% RTP)
- Money Cart 2 Bonus Reels (98% RTP)
- Drive Multiplier Mayhem (98% RTP)
- Bloodsuckers (98% RTP)
- Starmania (97.9% RTP)
- Polar Paws (97.8% RTP)
- Good Girl Bad Girl (97.8% RTP)
- Wolfpack Pays (97.8% RTP)
