Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some advice. I won at Lock casino back in January and have been having lots of problems getting a withdrawal. They reversed my withdrawal and requested documentation again. I sent documentation twice and they told me I can make a withdrawal now. However, my account is still locked for withdrawals and now they don't even respond to my live chat messages, emails or pms through this site. I have complained to the CDS a couple of months go which seems to be still pending. I have already used my PAB up at this site. Is there any other avenue I can take to get my money back?

This is a known issue with Lock. They seem to have trouble coming up with the money to pay players. Now that they have verified your documents, and say you are free to withdraw, this looks like they are stalling for time.

It seems they lost a fair chunk of money to US seizures and dodgy processors, and have never really recovered.

This is the risk you take through not doing your research before you deposit. Had you done so, you would have been very wary of Lock given the long term payment issues that many players have suffered, even those OUTSIDE the US.

The reason for this "one shot rule" was to make players learn from the mistakes made that lead them to PAB under the "one shot rule" in the first place.

Forget CDS, try to find an affiliate who promotes lock, and see if they can help. There are some major forums outside of CM who have the contacts needed to help with this, even if you have not joined through them.

If they are ignoring emails, try to track down other means to communicate, and keep pestering them. Keep anything you have relating to this, such as emails and screenshots.

Hi VWM,

When you click on their live chat icon you always get a message that they are away and you can leave a message. I estimate I have left over 20 messages of which none have been responded to. I've also sent probably 10 emails and 5 pms through this site. It is most definately stalling. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep looking around for other avenues to open up communication with them again.

Just more proof that its not all pennies and pounds and profits in this industry. The folks who started lock were bodog veterans, if I remember correctly. They knew the industry in and out... Great ideas for the casino client and for the poker platform that I remember thinking were gonna bring Mac gaming up to speed...

But a couple bum processors, and a few run ins with bank seizures, and that is where the bad choices began... IMO... If they didnt have enough behind to run the shop properly, they should have shut down right there, settled up with the credit processors and the clients owed, and found an investor and re-tooled, and tried again...

And they had spent a ton of coin, if you RTG spinners will remember, re-writing the first mac native RTG code casino... Which made its debut a lil over a year ago and about the same time as the first ever Mac native Cake poker client! Yup, Lock Poker was the first and the last AFAIK mac native client on the Cake Poker Network. And then the weirdest stuff went down.

After all the effort on the only Mac client for the cake network was finished, they promptly jumped ship with the Domain Holdings sites for the merge network in that late May 2010 deal that gave a majority interest in Merge Gaming to the board of directors of Domain Holdings LTD? And that was about the same time as the processor problems...

Maybe Domain Holdings made them an offer they couldn't refuse. IDK, but just more proof that the best 'locked' plans of industry insiders can still turn up bust...

SS to hear that happened man, GL!

Hi everyone,

5 months on since I won at Lock and winnings still "Locked" in. At least I know now why they chose that name. Can anyone suggest an affiliate I might be able to contact like VWM suggests?

The recent seizures of the poker rooms, and then Quicktender, have probably hit Lock even harder. They may have considerable trouble paying anyone, so they are likely to employ some stalling tactics.

5 months is a VERY long time given that they have said "everything is in order" with your account now that you have given them the documentation. Now it seems a case of "lights are on, but nobody's home". CDS have no real power other than to "recommend" payment to the player. It seems to have been set up to please the operators, rather than protect players. RTG set up CDS, so it seems RTG intended this to be the case. The rogues seem to have considerable clout with RTG, and RTG does what it is told. If RTG were not conspiring with operators like this, Virtual would have lost their software license long ago.

CDS may be trying to contact Lock, and Lock are ignoring them. This would stall your complaint from moving forward, and operators know this.
