Hi

I've been using the Accredited Casinos section at Casinomeister for quite a number of years (fantastic resource - thank you!) and have played online slots intermittently over that time. However, I've recently started playing slots much more regularly and will probably use the forum a lot more as a result, so thought I should introduce myself! :)

I'm in the UK and I am currently trying out about 13 different online casinos to get a feel for which ones I prefer the most. Then, the plan is, to focus down to perhaps 2 or 3 of my favourite ones.

I'm also still trying to figure out my betting preferences. I've recently moved from low bets (20p a spin) to a slightly higher bet (usually £1 a spin). It does mean I'm often burning through my deposits faster (I have a strict limit per casino) but I think I'm enjoying the wins more than I was on the lower bets. But I'd be really interested to read about how others approach their gaming sessions and what has and hasn't worked for you - in terms of both enjoyment of playing and ensuring you don't always put the wins straight back in! (I'm also trying various strategies about what point to cash out - with varying success!)

Anyway, that's probably more than enough info about me for now. I look forward to being a more active member of the site.

Cheers!

13 :eek::eek::eek:

Didin't even know was 13 safe casinos to use in the UK.

One bit of advice, don't do what I did go from 20p to £4, I think £1 is a safe stake even for low rollers providing they accept the fact the deposit might go quick most of the time.

Best of luck anyway.

Thanks for the reply and the advice. Yes £4 is a lot to stake in one go (for me, anyway!) I did bet £10 by mistake recently because that was the default bet for one particular slot and it reset after I left the game then went back in. I was gutted when I realised!

Very much depends on the IMO re stakes: DOA, I usually go no higher than 90p and that's when I have a 400 sitting that i fancy taking a chance on - you can, if you're in the right place, hit 1000 quid plus just on 18ps

Some others like Bonanza I'll play between 40p and 4 quid depending on balances.

When your lucks running hot you can put 20 in, 20 quid spins and see it rise, but mainly you'll bust out. Some days even low rolling at 20ps yields the same result but if the cash is low, best to build the bankroll up and then take a chance.

Agree with Nut - once your go higher stakes on games it is hard to drop down again (even when your bankroll is low you won't want to do it)

Novomatics i normally go no higher than a quid, 2 quid balance depending.

Thanks - that’s really helpful. I probably need to start varying my bets depending on my balance and the type of slot I’m playing. I’m still learning about volatility, etc. I usually only deposit £50 a time so a £1 bet doesn’t always last very long.

Thanks for taking the time to give such a thoughtful response.

Looks like you're learning fast!

When I do have a go on high variance games, I play with relatively low stakes.
But I prefer mostly to play low variance games, and usually bet £2 - £5/spins, but I have been known to up as high as a few £10 spins on games like Golden Ticket, Great Galaxy Grab, Viking Runecraft, etc... (See the "Low-rolling & Wins Under x100 thread")

I don't know why, but I tend to mostly deposit £300 or £400 at a time. So I would say £1 bets is a little high for a £50 deposit. But again, that depends if you are going for a "quick hit" or looking for lots of play-time.

However you play, I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks KK! Really helpful insights. It did occur to me earlier today that I may be better putting a larger deposit in one casino rather than lots of smaller amounts in 13 casinos! I guess that would give me the same total amount but with a larger buffer to ride out dry streaks better. I’ve already identified my top 5 casinos so maybe I’ll try that approach next with one of them.

Thanks for highlighting the Low rolling wins thread. I’ll definitely check that out.

Welcome and good luck. :)
You are already getting some good advices and there are many more in the forum and site.
If you like you can check out this thread I made about slots and tell me if it's helpful:

Slots: What you should know before you play

If you have never made a cashout at a particular casino, set the bar low and cashout double your deposit the next time you get a chance. You will end up with any verification issues sorted, know how quick it hits your preferred payment method, and if you still receive bonus offers (if you like them).

I'll assume you like playing slots, and at least part of what you want in a session is some time playing. Maybe try 30 to 50 cent bets for the first $20 of a $50 deposit. Up your bet over 50, until you are back down to 50.

Get down to 10? Do ten $1 bets, hoping for redemption.

It is always easier to up your bets than lower them. If I am being thumped at $1, I'll switch games and play a lower bet, rather than lower the bet on the game I've been playing at $1, maybe come back to it if I end ahead again.

Also, nothing to lose if you ask support if you qualify for a free chip or a match bonus if your luck has not been good.

Personally, I think you are better off with fewer casinos, as most have some kind of loyalty program.

There is also something I like to call the Disloyalty bonus, and casinos usually refer to as Welcome Back. Stop playing for a month at a casino you have been depositing at weekly, and you will often get an enhanced bonus offer.

I often try new slots in demo mode, just to get a feel for the game.

Thanks so much! I’ll take a look this weekend when I’ll have time to go through it properly. Really appreciate your help.

Thanks! Some fantastic suggestions! I should definitely start using demo modes on new slots. I just go straight in and can often lose a chunk of change while I’m getting familiar with it.

I haven’t usually opted for bonuses as the wagering requirements seem high, but maybe I should give them a go.

Thanks again for such a helpful reply!

Just wanted to give you all an update following your very helpful thoughts and experiences, following my questions. I adjusted my playing style and went to smaller bets. As a result I’ve had a lot more gameplay from a £50 deposit, which has been more satisfying, and have had some really nice wins too:

111268

The above win was on Dead or Alive II. The one below was Return of Kong Megaways, which is my favourite slot.

111269

Both wins were at Sky Vegas, which I’ve decided to make my primary casino now. It has instant payouts for withdrawals up to £1500 and when I withdraw, by the time I’ve logged into my online bank, the money is already there.

Thanks again for all your help and advice. It’s been genuinely appreciated!

I battered that Kong Game and it took me 3500 spins for a bonus:mad: - it was 15x as well, so never been back ;-)

Primal Megaways, if that's your jazz, might be worth a punt on 20-40ps as seen a few decent hits on the lower stakes
