Hey!!! Thank you for the forum. I was thinking about trying a site. After reading some post I am worried.

My question: How to send money? Will I get into to trouble if I use my wells fargo visa card? I don't need any legal problems. The site terms will not allow prepaid cards or checks.

Thank you

I had a Wells Fargo card once, and I remember that the T&C were changed to prohibit the use of the card for online gambling. This was sometime in the late 90's if I remember correctly. I am surprised that they still process gambling transactions.

Thank you for the discussion.

I was not only thinking about the feds but my Bank.

Will my Bank stop or put a hold on my account?

Another question: Do you leave your money at the casino after a session?

Another question: I know it varies from casino to casino, but can you give some estimates on transaction fees?

1. What do you pay for the international deposit?
2. What do you pay for a cash-in via bank card?
3. What do you pay for a cash-in check in postage and assorted fees?

Another question: Estimates on time?

1. How long is processing time on the deposit?
2. How long on the cash-in time?

Another question: Do the real money games play like the demos or is it just a bait?

Another question: I was looking at the golden reef casino. It is on the favored list. Do you think it is a good place to start? I like the craps game. I can play for a dollar, they pay to the penny, after a number is rolled the bet comes down. It is easier than a real casino. The crew never likes to take down bets. I never know if its on or off.

Thank you. I had another silly question, but I forgot it already. <damn>

I am assuming you are a US player so my answers are with that assumption in mind. If you are depositing within the casino software I have not been charged any fees by Wells Fargo using my debit card. If you are using a debit card they will not accept a cash-in. You will have to use another entity such as Neteller, Click2Pay, or InstaDebit. Neteller being the one most accepted.

As far as holds on your bank account that I can't speak to except my checking account has never been bothered. You may leave money in your casino account after a session. I think that is a personal preference. I normally don't have any left or I have cashed it in.

When depositing within the casino software the deposit is immediate. The cash-in (withdrawal time varies). If you are using your debit card the casino will more than likely require a copy of the front and back of your debit card, a photo ID and in some instances a copy of a utility bill with your name on it to verify your address. If you aren't the primary name on the utility bills in your household you might use something else that is in your name. I used my checking account.

As far as fun play is concerned it is my opinion the outcome is far more rosey when not playing for REAL.

I addressed only those I felt I could answer. Good luck and have fun!

Hope you withdraw a bundle!

Welcome to the forum  What a lot of questions!

I can't answer the banking ones - hopefully someone your side of the pond can. ;)

Yes, I always leave my money in the casino - until the WR is done.

Deposits are instant - withdrawals take 1-3 days at good casinos.

At Microgaming the fun play seems the same as real to me.

If you do sign up at Golden Reef to play craps I think you will get an automatic 100% bonus on your deposit. You will not be able to withdraw anything until you complete the Wagering Requirements (same with all MG's) - and Craps only counts at 10%.
So if you got a $100 bonus for example, you would have to wager $100 x 50 x 10% = $50,000 (if playing craps only) before you can withdraw!

Let us know how you get on. Good luck!

Actually, you can withdraw before completing wagering at most MGs offering Clearplay bonuses. Golden Reef and the rest of the Casino Profit Share group is the exception. I'd recommend staying away from this group.

My favorite MG group at the moment is Belle Rock (Lucky Nugget, River Belle, Gaming Club, Jackpot City, and some others not generally available). They do not require playthrough, have better game weighting than most other groups, and do not credit bonuses unless you fill out a claim fom. Withdrawals are faster than most of the other groups, and I generally have fewer problems with them than others.

For payment, I'd recommend either Neteller or Click2Pay. Most US banks will not allow transactions to casinos on credit/debit cards.

Thank you for the advice. More is always welcome. I like to know what to expect before I try something new.

I can't withdraw my money or winnings? or just the bonus money and winnings? You are saying that they join my deposit with bonus money and then I have to bet 50,000 before I can have my money back? I have a real problem with the bonus money. That may be the deal breaker.

People seem to like Neteller. Is there a popular consensus that this is way to play?

This comment caught my eye: Golden Reef and the rest of the Casino Proft Share group is the excetion. I'd recommend staying away from this group

This is because of the joining of bonus and deposit money, and the 50 x play through?

This comment caught my eye: My favorite MG group at the moment is Belle Rock

How many other gamers like Belle? Or care to share a favorite place.

Thank you for all the insights. I love the net and forums. A person can learn so much!!

If you claim a bonus, you must complete playthrough before making any withdrawals with the Casino Profit Share group, Grand Monaco (this might have changed since acquired by CasinoShare recently), and the Fortune Lounge group. The problem with Casino Profit Share group is bonuses with the larger than normal required playthrough are credited automatically. You'd need to contact support to forfeit the bonus or face withdrawal complications. There are other possible issues that I won't go into here.

You can withdraw winnings without completing playthorugh at other groups offering Clearplay bonuses. This includes Belle Rock group, Trident group, Casino Rewards group, Grand Prive group, Villento, JAckpot Factory goup, CasinoShare, and Vegas Partner (probably). Most of these have a claim form on the bonus, so it will not appear unexpectedly.

Aka is correct. I emailed golden reef about the bonus money and it is a crazy policy. It seems they would be holding my money hostage until 50 X bonus is played. That would be 5,000.00

Here is their response:

Thank you for contacting Golden Reef Casino.

The bonus is credited automatically into your account within 2 hous of making a deposit into your casino account.
You will have to wager 50 times the bonus you received before you may withdraw money.
If you wish to decline the bonus, you will need to notify support as soon as you receive the bonus to have it removed from your account. We suggest not playing after you deposit, until you receive the bonus, and then notifyinf support to have it removed, then playin the games.

I can't believe what they are saying, "You will have to wager 50 times the bonus you received before you may withdraw money."

-----------------------------------------------------

I guess I can try to decline the bonus? If they say, "SOL Buddy" They just get to keep my money.

I could deposit the min of $20.00. piss it away and the bonus money, and then only have to playthrough 1,000.00

Its crazy.

Welcome to the forum!:) Try playing without a bonus. You may play more responsibly because its all you money, and, you can withdraw it all if you get cold feet or are having bad luck. The bonus t and c's are getting more and more complicated and you must read them and understand them all. It is also important that to know that customer service may not be giving you the right information if you are relying on them to explain t and c's. Hard copy it if you are going to take the cs's word for it (get it in writing) or, come over here - the experts will interpret for you! Good Luck!

I'm sorry, and I don't this mean to be harsh, but did you expect to get free money and just be able to withdraw it without having to do some "work"?

Most casinos (the good ones) will simply return your deposit (not "hold it hostage") if you try to withdraw before the wagering requirements are met.

The premise of bonus money is to give you a bigger bankroll to withstand variance, but you just can't walk away with it whenever you feel like it.

Play w/o a bonus

I think you should try to play w/o a bonus if your worried. I have my motto

use your money, get paid
use a bonus, get played

Thank you for the replies. I was thinking about asking the support staff for the terms in writing. I thought maybe I was being crazy. I am glad you think the decline of bonus should be in writing.

as for: I'm sorry, and I don't this mean to be harsh, but did you expect to get free money and just be able to withdraw it without having to do some "work"?

-------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your input. No. I don't expect to work. I hope to get lucky. Luck is everything in these games. The odds are for the house.

I am just trying to understand the rules before I place money with a casino from another country.

I understand your point. But going by my email. One must play 50 x the bonus to withdraw money.

No distinction was made between my money or bonus money. (I am only talking about the golden reef. This is who I emailed)

What is even more sneaky. The game I want to play is craps. That only pays 1 to 10 in playthrough money. A 100 bonus is 50,000 in bets.

Keep the advice coming!!!! Have a nice weekend,

Yes, if you just want to play craps, you should forfeit that bonus. However, there are plenty of bonuses that are useful for craps. For example, there are some banners on this site for the 400% bonus at Lucky Nugget. Deposit $50 and get a $200 bonus. This differs from the Golden Reef bonus in one key way -- you can cash out winnings at any time. If you win early with the $50 deposit, you can cash out. If you lose ealrly with the $50 deposit, you get another $200 to go through to try to win your money back. If you can make it to $3000 of wagering on craps (less on other games), then the first $10 of the bonus gets converted to cash.

Or the simple "money back gaurantee" Yukon Gold bonus. If you win with the $50, you can cash out. If you lose the full $50, it is returned to you and can be cashed out without wagering. (Read the T&C about the 10 bets and 24 hours claim rules).

I'm sorry - I have no idea how I managed to write that bollox!
(Must have been tired. I can't blame booze - I'm on the wagon! :( )

It's seems just by luck that I was right for this particular casino group, but at all others using the 'flexi-bonus' system you can withdraw - but you forfeit any bonus money that has not been converted to cash.

Seems you picked the worst group of MG's there - try some of the better ones!

Ah... I can't play.

My card was declined. They said register at Netteller.
I was reading some fine print on the Netteller site and they will be enforcing the safe port / online gambling ban.

I guess registering at Netteller would be a waste of time. <sigh>

Please clarify re Neteller

Hello, in two posts above Happy states they were reading some fine print on the Neteller site and that they are going to comply with the Gambling Ban.
Did I read this properly? What did the fine print say?

Okay Now what?

I joined firepay. The first message is:

FirePay declines any transactions from US FirePay account holders at any gambling merchant site.

All US FirePay account holders will continue to be able to make purchases and receive payments from non-gambling, online merchants, as well as "Deposit From" and "Withdraw To" their US bank accounts.

Click here for the latest news and opportunities for FirePay account holders.

I don't need my money in electronic purgatory. Is firepay safe? I thought that the casino set up an account to a non-descript bank to which I could deposit, and then money would be placed into the casino from there.

Why would the casino have firepay as a payment option if it will not work?

I am thinking about giving up on this mess. I have my info at two sites already and I still can't play.... I have a casino about 4 hours from my house. But I kind of liked the online play. No distractions and one could make just $1.00.

Hey Happy

Are you one of the 13 states because im in PA (a state not banned) and I use neteller with no problem

Happy have you tried Click2Pay your bank may still be on board with this one, mine is and im in a restricted state...plus you can withdraw to it..:) .no problem there..or try a prepaid visa.will have to withdraw via check for that...can get it in any drugstore or major grocery stores. I know you are frustrated but it sounds like you came into this in the midst of a ton of changes in the industry..we are all searching for the right funding option at this point..hang in there..if you want to play right now..go get a prepaid visa. I believe there are many threads regarding this that u can look up under "search".
