Birthday celebrations gone wild...
Thanks for all the Birthday greetings, first and foremost. I always appreciate them fellow forumites 
Due to unrelenting pressure from member my Birthday went down thusly. Spent a couple of hours round my mum's, where, true to form, my socks collection received a much-needed boost, as well as an 'All you can eat' buffet that had me staggering around in bloated confusion at one stage.
I then introduced her to a cinematic classic in the form of 'Goodfellas', which she no doubt found a right hoot. Stocked up my doggy bag of assortments and later realized that most of the good food hadn't been packed, so there is that
Later took my ass to the pub, where in true lightweight style I got completely hammered after about 4 Guinness.
Upon our return I likely begged and cajoled the missus for all manner of Birthday recompense, even throwing 'but 40' in there, but I'm unsure what transpired after
But I will confess, she certainly gave me a pretty decent card, at least
