Morning,

Anyone know anything about who won Hall of Gods last night? I kept getting 2 of the RED MEGA ICONS and thought it was about to pop. This morning I see it has gone to some lucky devil. €7,4M is nice way to start the weekend :D

Cheers,
Dieter

Wow...absolutely....a general search hasn't returned anything.....Guess there could be some verification in progress or some other "deal" before it's revealed.....

But definitely waiting eagerly to know.....if it's again gone Scandinavia's way

One jackpot tracking site lists the hit as:

28 May 2014, 23:29 UTC by Anon at Mr Green €7,361,240

Don't know whether they confirmed that from any CS there, can't see any news about this on Mr Green's site yet.

7.4 million...Can't even comprehend how much money that is...
Congratz to the winner and Mr Green for having a big winner on board...

In the meantime I keep dreaming of such amounts in my bankaccount.:lolup:

.

I do not think it was hit at Mr Green. I am guessing Betsson again.

Anyway. Congratulations to the lucky player yeah :D

note that sum is in euros so that's like 9.5M $..... must have had some roll going for it too, cos you do need much bigger bets to get those major jp symbols in, with my 1$ bets I only saw like 1 major jp symbol in about 50 bonus rounds

just can't help wondering if it makes sense to play only jackpot slots all the time instead of wasting money on DOA, BDBA etc...at least when you hit...you HIT BIG ?!?

Just wondering, what the minimum bet you should play to win the jackpot.
Is there a minimum at all or could you be low rolling it at 25 cents a spin and still win the jackpot?
Are people betting more per spin more likely to win the jackpot than a low roller?

Yes, higher the bet, higher the chances.

I'll safely say with a .25$ bet u'd have a 0% chance to win the big one....u could maybe get a shot at the mini with great luck. But make that bet x40......so 10$ per spin would get you closer for sure. I would be very surprised if the guy bet anything less than 10-15$ per spin to get there!!

fyi when our player hit that £5.8 million payout on the dark knight, they were betting 30p per spin. It can be done on the minimum bet. You can see the vid on youtube. :)

Mega Fortune paid out a €17.8 million jackpot last year on a €0.25 bet, so yeah - it can definitely happen on a small bet as well.

In 2011, a Norwegian player won about €11 million on the same game with a €0.50 bet.

Quite many of the highest NetEnt jackpots ever won have been on a rather small bet.

A Scottish player won £5.4 mill on Hall of Gods last year and according to Betvictor:

"The married father of one reeled in the biggest ever UK online casino pay-out winning a progressive jackpot, which started with him placing just 20p a spin, as his fortune grew to a multi-million pound drop."

Yeah, you beat me to the answer. I can say that on most sites that show their progressive winners and their bets, I usually see small bets.
And from the marketing point of view, that is even better for the casinos. You know, that anyone is in it with a chance.

Every time I see a progressive win from a small bet say 0.20.,I have always thought the information was misleading and it was probably 0.20 bet per line.

But if it's definitely total bet then that's great, there's hope for me yet.

I cannot realistically see why a casino would restrict the ability to win the progressive to big betters. Micro stake players who win would provide the casino with way much better publicity, not to mention it also encourages more players to play, knowing that they too could hit a big one for a small stake. This is the big draw for any progressive really.

To restrict such a possibility would seem commercially stupid to me.

Absolutely can......I stated right at the beginning of my post saying "higher the bet, higher the chances", which is true. Not saying a jackpot cannot be hit by a lower bet in general! :)

Now for Hall of Gods, I did not think the jackpot symbols would even show up at smaller bets....a huge thanks for correcting me there!:thumbsup:

Council Worker wins €7.3 Million

May 30, 2014

From Betsson:

The Hall of Gods Jackpot climbed all the way up to an extraordinary 7.3 million Euro before it hit. One Betsson player was feeling lucky during the day – he continued playing into the late evening and ending up scooping the big win. Read the story of the father from Sweden who became a multimillionaire overnight!

When we called our latest Betsson millionaire, the morning after the win, he was on his way to work. His approach to the big win was surprisingly relaxed, but he was very happy that we called.

- Yesterday was my lucky day. I won €100 here and €100 there, so I decided to continue playing. I could not believe my eyes when the €7 million Mega Jackpot hit, the winner laughed.

The new Hall of Gods millionaire said he wants to remain anonymous as he does not want to get personal attention from the media, but still wanted us to tell parts of his story. He is very happy with the big win, but will continue to work just as before.

- I work for the council with disabled children. I love going to work and the feeling of contributing. Maybe I’ll work a bit less now, but I would not stop working even if I won a billion, says the Swede.

Our fortunate winner turns 50 this year and gained an early birthday present. And it could not have come at a better time.

-I’m a single parent with several children and I live in a small apartment. There’s not much money left when the rent and the bills have been paid. Money is not everything, but this is wonderful for me. I have not been able to afford a car before, and now I can finally get one! I will also buy a house. Owning a house has been my dream ever since I moved to Sweden.

The winner, who has been a faithful Betsson Customer for years, emigrated to Sweden many years ago. What is he going to do with the money?

- The very first thing I’m going to do is to buy a washing machine for my ex – the children’s mother. It just broke and it causes problems in daily life. I’m buying her a flat screen TV as well, and tablets for the kids. I will help my relatives too – you have to be generous. But first and foremost, the money will be going to the kids, our fortunate winner concluded.

The Betsson Blog’s impression is that we could not have had a nicer or more deserving winner. We also like the fact that our winner felt that this day was his lucky day, and that the lucky feeling really paid out in the end. We at Betsson congratulate our latest millionaire, and are very happy that the huge Hall of Gods jackpot has finally found a home!

So he was from Sweden. That was a surprise:eek2:

Seemed to be a nice guy so good for him:)

Now come on guys. Let's start screaming about another Swede taking it...or you could just move up here. The weather is lovely :D

That nice norwegian guy must have been here today, it rains. :(

No, it's better to move here because of our higher RTP at NetEnt slots!

Well good luck with the win, but if my kids' mother hadn't a working washing machine, or I hadn't a car to take them out, I would never have won it in in the first place, because I wouldn't have been depositing money at casinos. Nice Guy Tirilej? Irresponsible IMO. Lives in Sweden but not Swedish. He can buy them all the tablets and TV's he wants, but it won't make up for the times the kids lacked things because money was wasted gambling. And this isn't being judgemental, because the report states this anyway.
I think Betsson should notice these sort of facts when publishing these glib stories.
This sends a subliminal message -'If things are lacking in your life, don't work to fix them, gamble instead.'

What are you saying dunover? That it's time to teach these people who don't earn so much that they shouldn't gamble in the first place?
I don't feel any need to judge either him or the casino. I just hope it will turn out good for him.
Especially since he wanted to continue to work. That says a lot about the person.

It's great that you're so strong dunover. Good for you

I see your post was changed. Well, I don't know how long he have been here, but if he lives here then I consider him Swedish now.

No, read what I typed. Remember the term RESPONSIBLE Gaming. Income has nothing to do with it, as the terms suggests your responsibilities do. He stated his children were missing out on things, that could be solved with a little more money. What bigger responsibility do you have than children?

You and I have no clue what it was about or what they were missing out on. Maybe just the fact that he didn't have a car so he couldn't drive them to all events.
Her machine just broke down. They didn't live together and he didn't always have the kids. We don't know the amount of Money. We know nothing.

You are correct and there are a lot of people that are playing that shouldn't do that. But I so refuse to judge anyone when I don't know the whole story. I haven't been the best person or always done the right thing. Who am I to judge others? Who are you do do that?

I know that you and I don't look at things the same way. I like you anyway dunover :)

dangerous thinking. Sweden was the lab rat for multiculturalism test, importing(!) people from allahu ahkbar countries. are these sweds for you? i don't even know how to say without sound racist...

Well then don't because it's not your problem.
I'm so tired of all racist people right now and it has nothing to do with someone winning a jackpot

that sound racist, but i'm not because i don't even seen one of these persons in flesh, just on youtube and various beheading videos. in my book i see swedish as blonde type, very civilized with a strong history, descending from pagans, mainly atheist and nice people to have as neighbor. and i like to believe is not a stereotype. this is why i asked you if even that type of immigrants are swedish to you just because live there for a long period.

I believe we are more mixed up now, but so is the rest of the world too.
For me that's ok, and nothing I want to discuss in this thread.
Just one thing. We were and are no lab rats. If we wanted to help people it was because we see it as a human thing to do.

I suggest you go and read up a little more on history, and don't believe all you hear as the truth. Be critical!

I think I can see where you are coming from here despite the translation into English from your native language, i.e. making a distinction between genetic heritage and nationality as defined by a piece of paper. Unfortunately in the context of this thread it is irrelevant.
