Not only is Gold Rock a new casino but they are the launch customer of our new casino software as well!

I've posted some more info about Wizard Gaming on the thread below.

We certainly would love to hear everyone's feedback on their player experience at Gold Rock and with the new software so we can continue to improve it.

At the risk of belabouring the point - imo this is a solid, upfront way to introduce a new software (in contrast to the covert nature of Top Game's debut - see previous thread on Rome Casino)

Thanks, jetset. Keeping a good dialogue with the player community is important to us so we wanted to introduce ourselves in the right way and find out what we can do to better the software.

Boy, if I was a new casino, I would avoid any name with "Gold" in it... there are just such bad associations with rogues.

This is largely down to ONE rogue, Gold VIP Club. They spam many bogus casinos, but all have "Gold" as part of the name. My first impression when I saw this thread was that "Gold Rock" was simply their next attempt to fool players into joining Gold VIP Club. They have already used Golden Gate, and now it seems Golden Lounge is doing the rounds. Now, if I see "Gold" in any casino name, I assume it is Gold VIP Club, and ditch it without further investigation.

I look forward to reviews of this new software, as it seems that many new software providers are launching now, and hopefully this should make the big providers more inclined to listen to players, rather than trundle on their merry way as before, assuming they have it all sewn up.

Definitely ditch the Gold part if you can, any email I receive with Gold in it gets deleted without hesitation as other members have said.
If you only have cheque as method of withdrawal then that will lose you 90% of your potential customers before you start IMO.

EDIT:
Just checked the site and they pay via Neteller also but no debit/credit cards or Moneybookers.

So can you deposit by neteller, As my only withdrawal option is cheque.

Also something they need to scrap it the pop up reminder off there sign up match as it freezes the casino for some time when you log in.

Also casinos should know that if you make few slots with free spins then your losing plenty off customers to, and if those few dont have free spins+multiplyer forget it.

I allways think that casinos who dont have free spins with multiplyer are basicly skint..or stupid no offense personally.

Well Ive had a look at the slots, and I think they suck quite frankly.

If this mob has any chance of making a go of things, they need to think about implementing the following:

1. Free spins + multipliers

2. UNIQUE bonus games. e.g. 'get a frog on reels 2,3,4 and pick X of Y for your bonus win' and 'get a lizard on reels 2,3,4 and pick X of Y for your bonus win' are NOT unique bonus games

3. Dont CLONE!! There is no point having 20 slots if they are almost all the same with different symbols - you may as well just have 2 slots and be done with it.

4. Varying lines e.g. 15, 20, 25, 30 etc

Ive been playing slots a long time, and I wont be spending a dime here until they give me something better than I can get from Hoyles Casino PC Version.

N.B. You should check out the new rival i-slot - now THAT is what I call innovation and making unique games.

This is very close to what I also told Wizard Gaming, though I was a little more diplomatic. But I am happy that several people agrees with my review of the casino, so I am not way off.

I believe Wizard Gaming first very recently figured out how far behind the market their slots are. Different themes and identical picking feature will not work. Today every video slot should have something unique to it. If it is just a freespin with multiplier, it is simply just identical to the other 200 online video-games out there.

Tomb Raider 2 is a good example of how advanced video-slots are today.
It has
1) There is a free-spin feature with increasing multiplier AND a tetris collapse style for win-lines.
2) Random triggered bonus games (5 spins) with held wilds
3) Global adventure feature that even has a sub-feature within itself.

All of these features are unique for Tomb Raider 2.

Also the newest 'freespin feature' video-slot "Jolly Jester" for MG has than three different bonus mechanics for the freespins.
1) Scatter substitute for wild.
2) Increasing multiplier
3) Additional scatter

This makes this slot a lot more interesting since bonus feature now are more varied, and this is the best slot since Tomb Raider 2 from
MG in my opinion.

The down-side is that for every new video-slot the software provider now has to make unique programming/graphics features to support these mechanics. This is compared to just have a video-slot interface that can support the freespin feature/paytable dynamics. It is much harder work to make unique video-slots.

I played one slot "happy ever after" and i liked the graphics the game play and mechanics.

Personaly i dont like games with pickem free spins, so it dont get my vote there.

Also the payout was rubbish between spins.

The free spin feture come up alot but even if it had a 3x multiplyer i would off lost, on my best pick off 9 free spins.

10 free spins was the most i see this game going after my tour.

With $30 being 5 wilds and $6 being top payout symbol, plus 50 x bet five scatters.

Game did have a bonus round to, Got that once for 6x bet, on my go 10x bet was the jp but it also had one symbol which also held a bonus-symbol so maybe a second screen on top.

Where the heck is the chance off winning something substantial from your deposit.

Yes. They are really ultra low variance video-slots.

For Thunderstruck the average win each freespin feature is ~35*bet-size.
And for Wizard Games video-slots it is ~4*bet-size.

Even though it is a factor 10, it is worse than it seems. Because the rare features where you hit something and win 500*bet-size are
non-existant. And this is one of they joys of features, winning something big.

But at least people can not cry about rigged RNG after having 40% payout session over a few 100 spins, since it is too unlikely to happen for these slot. . So it would save the forum from the usual few weekly posts about bad slot sessions at least... This is the upside of low variance.

I agree with the "Gold" part - I equate the word "gold" in a casinos name with roguedom too.

There seems to be some confusion about the USA stance. On the homepage is a "No Americans" symbol, on the cashouts page it says North America can cash out with X, a player on another forum from the US has signed up successfully and Live Chat says "all Americans are accepted" :D

Players who are half Turkish, half Danish, living in Dubai but with dual US & Malaysian nationality must be terribly confused.

Wanted to clarify for everyone that Gold Rock Casino is in no way affiliated with Gold VIP Club.

Thanks for the feedback Nifty.

We definitely have plans for more advanced bonus rounds and other slot innovations.

We will be taking the feedback we have got from players on the forum and using it to improve the games.

We wanted to build a very strong foundation for the software in terms of its reliability, scalability and the ability to add new features going forward.

Takes a huge amount of time and investment to do that so all of the things that we want to do in time will have to be rolled out in new versions as we progress forward.

We're in it for the long haul and we're confident we will continue to make the software better.

Yes but this is an invest or die situation.
With so much competition offering more exciting alternatives for slot games you really need to roll out new games with free spins and multipliers if you want to attract slot players in any numbers.
You could set up a poll asking if players would prefer free spin+multiplier or bonus pick 'em rounds.
