Global Player's shoddy graphics

i love your site, meister, but in the words of John McEnroe: "you cannot be serious!" in promoting global player. Have you played video poker there? My eyesight is fine and I have a decent 21" Sun monitor, but I still had to stop nearly every hand at Global Player to make sure a spade was a spade (especially with the face cards). Plus I found the VP software glitchy as well and I apparently clicked the draw button several times without even seeing my initial hand. This never happens to me elsewhere.

G Player has a good selection of games and good customer service.......BUT with the current setup, these guys couldn't gain approval from the Kahnawake Commission if they held a meeting at a Montreal "gentlemens" club and showed up a suitcase full of cash.

I agree, their graphics/software is not the best in the world. And they desperately need some decent slots. But their excellent variety of VP, excellent CS, and fast payouts are a cut above.

You might want to go into options in the software and check the settings. I think I have mine set up to deal/draw when I right click (or double click) anywhere on the screen. Which makes for surprises when my cat wants to help me play, or I accidently hit the wrong button while reaching for a pen. I've won there, and here lately, anywhere I've ever had a decent win is wildly popular with me. :)

I agree about the video poker cards being hard to see. It's not that the graphics are shoddy, it's just that they're too small. Love Global Player otherwise.

GP opened back in 2000 - 2001 and was in developement for 3 years previous to that. We're talking at times when the standard screen res was 640x480. I'll be the first to admit that GP needs to update their screen res sizes, imo to a standard 800x600 and couple of additional options to 1280x1024 would make it user friendly.

As far as it being scratchy, I think this has to do with the display issues above. I too have problems reading the suits especially as I like to play VP really fast (I've burnt more than a couple of good hands). I can only play here for a max of an hour until my eyes pack in & start seeing dancing dots all over the screen.

The other alternative is to set your monitor to a lower screen res, I don't do that cause it's a pain, but other may like to. GP has always provided excellent support, fair odds and above all fast payouts. I don't recall anyone having any issues with non payments.

I agree that Global Player doesn't have the best graphics or software by any means, but they do have some nice blackjack promotions and are starting blackjack tournaments on a daily basis.

The software definately needs some work, but if you are looking for a great casino that pays quick and has great support, its there.
