Gamdom went down on 14 October. They thought a server disk had failed, but while checking it they found someone had got into one of their servers and was draining the hot wallets.

Founder Felix Roemer says they stopped the drain and lost just over $3m. On-chain trackers reckon it’s closer to $4.2m once you add up everything taken across ETH, BSC, Polygon, Solana, Bitcoin and Tron. The money’s already been bounced through bridges and swaps, so it’s unlikely to come back. Gamdom hasn’t explained the difference between the two numbers yet.

This is the second crypto casino to get hit this way in a month – Duelbits lost around $6m in September. Both times the problem was the casino’s own systems, not the blockchain.

Gamdom hasn’t said whether player balances were touched or how they’re covering the loss. I’d wait for a proper statement before depositing, and keep an eye on withdrawal times once the site’s back.

.... FWIW - the site is still down. Imagine having a balance sitting there, and you are unable to withdraw it...

Yep, I would be hitting F5 every few seconds. I guess crypto being crypto and unregulated and easy to hide, it has become the low hanging fruit of financial crimes.

In the UK due to data breaches and people flexing on social media concerning their wealth, even if people have their crypto in a hard wallet, it has resulted in armed gangs invading peoples homes and forcing them to transfer what they have!

These guys are just total dirt bags all around. If you seriously play here after all this you might want to up your dose of meds.

Shilling on trust pilot. Shilling on reddit. Ripping players off. No security and your players getting robbed. Ignoring ADR complaints. Ignoring emails after players get robbed. Shilling like mad on twitter and hiring degen drunk influencers.

I mean talk about an absolute s**t hole.

If he didn't brag on antisocial media how much he was making, might this not have happened? Doubt it's down to laundering tool Revolut.

Crypto (doesn't have to be unregulated). MGA already has that covered for many countries, as far as i know the only (semi legit licence operator that accepts crypto payments in some casino's). 99.9% of the crypto casino's however has s**t license like curacao.. Still doesn't mean a casino is bad or good. Whatever license or currency they have and accept. That being said, as far as i can see every day a new company in whatever layer of the economy is hacked thanks to AI making it easier than it ever was before. Welcome to the future.. it's s**t.
