G2E 2014 - Hot New Slot Preview!

Great comments!

:eek2:

Lol! I can understand the branded slot rage, and love to see most of them, but come on IGT!
Admitted I hate the whole talk show palette of todays television... for me a talk show was like a news forum/discussion with experts etc. nowadays it's mostly just dramatized or cheap entertainment about various touchy social subjects...rant off/ But really, who cares for an Ellen, Oprah, Jerry Springer or even a better suited one Larry King Live slot?!

Can't imagine this becoming a hit, although there might be plenty fans of her who also happen to gamble, so it will be played.. I am surprised that a woman like Ellen would lend her name for such a slot, never figured her the type for something like that:)

Hi incrediblestuff:

You make some good points. Branding is obviously alive and well at the show! I was equally surprised when "Judge Judy" lent her name to a slot machine a few years ago (it's not a very good slot either). IGT still has the staff to make a good game from a hardware and software perspective ... but the branding and math on their games has been very very suspect. They do not have the floor dominance that their once did. Aristocrat has made huge strides.

Thanks so much for your post. Glad you enjoyed the previews!

Thanks Simmo ... slot machines has become a passion of mine over the years, so I am glad I could video and post the latest from the North American land-based industry. As we already know, many of the companies will make good use of these games ... and some will end up online. Conversely, there are some games (like Kiss) which actually showed up online before they hit the casino floor. It's an exciting time, as many Canadian provinces ... and some American States are talking about internet gaming. With all of the potential revenue, and land-based revenue which has been clipping more an a decade, it seems like a matter of time before the US government turns on the flood gates.

That said, a likely Republican government in the next election could hold tha dream for a few years! :)
