Flash or Download?

Just a quickie poll for a development i'm doing if you can spare mo.

Mainly download - particulary if I am playing for real money. I do however try out the flash versions just to get a feel for them.

Whilst the flash versions are good, they are not as complete and are limited to an extent compared to the casino client that you download.

I prefer MG download with all its very cool features, but it runs heavy on my wee Mac Virtual PC so I often go for Flash....As for the other software providers, I prefer Flash generally...runs directly on my Mac

I always play the download casino if there is one, but I also play at some casinos that are flash only.
Therefore I had to vote for the second option!

I prefer FLASH...

I used to hate using FLASH, but nowadays...

I prefer using FLASH, for the main reason that games like Thunderstruck & Tombraider are WAY too slow on my computer (that is the Full-Download versions). And I'd say that I have much better luck with the Flash (though it's likely just in my head ).

If I'm doing bad on one version then I'll try the other. Sometimes the flash version is hitting great when the download version is suckin. I've had some of my best hits on 32Red's flash.... 5-scatters on T-struck, 5 wilds on Tomb Raider (I loved seeing that come in).

I feel the same way tim5ny. If the download version isn't hitting I try the flash.

yeah i used to play download all the time but since i "regressed" my PC to a Pentium III, only the Flash versions play at anything like a decent speed now. That said, i'm quite liking the flash version - just not quite as much game choice.

It seems to me that players just starting out would be more likely to play Flash versions vs. downloading software. With all of the concern these days for viruses, adware, spyware, etc. it just seems safer to play the Flash versions.

I agree. What are your favorite Flash casinos? MG doesn't work at all. It's the only reason I use Virtual PC, to be able to play MG games. Playtech Flash works great on the Mac, Lasseters also, and 888 even acknowledges your Mac at the startup screen

RTG has no Flash at all. If only MG Flash worked on my Mac, I'd have done with Virtual PC...

Playing Flash allows you to play just about anywhere where "downloading" the software is impractical or impossible (on holiday at a net cafe, at work, at grandma's, etc.). Also some casinos have games that are not available in the download version (32Red's Fruit Slots for instance).

I never played a flash casino until I tried Casino Webcam last week. It was pretty cool. The only other no-download casino I'd ever tried was Slotland, which I like very much, for a variety of reasons. (And yeah, I know the video poker isn't "really" video poker.)

MG does have issues with Flash on the Mac, mostly because you have to download an ActiveX Flash Control of some sorts to get it to work. I didn't have the patience to get my browser configured, mostly because I spend more time playing poker online via Pokerroom.com. But, you may want to give Mummys Gold, Jackpots in a Flash, or Piggs Peak Casino a try. They are MG and have Flash casinos.

Wouldn't it be rather risky to be signing on your account at an internet cafe?? Couldn't they come back and claim "multiple accounts" if you tried to cashout afterwards if someone else signed on to the same casino there?
