Posted in the "Industry" section for a reason but if not appropriate please move the thread or bury it or.

I failed to understand why the hell FBI guys showed up at HIS door? :what:

I think it's perhaps that the FBI monitors gambling websites as well as other websites as 'gamblers' can also use these websites to furthur terrorist 'conversations' in the chat section. Using terms within the chat section to furthur their ultimate cause, using 'code terms'.
If this guy is using chat, then maybe that's the reason.

One does not have to gamble to use chat.

The OP gives no reason, iirc , so the thread opens itself to a wide range of speculation including if the OP is legit!

Well, if OP isn't legit why they didn't take him to prison? :what:
afaik, they just asked him about online poker...

Interesting. I'm wondering how the FBI figured he was playing at Full Tilt.

Probably not that hard if the OP was open and active on message boards and the authorities are following same closely - there's often a slip somewhere if not an overt presence.

What a joke this thread should be deleted. Give me a break!! It takes 6 or 7 years before the biggest of operators are busted.;) What a sucker thread.:puke:

Yeah, but apparently the guy isn't active on the message boards. The OP is just a friend.

The guy either let his real name and address slip out somewhere, or WA state residents have something to really worry about.

Paranoia will destroy-ya.

SlotMonster, no problem friend.:) I thought it may be a miscommunication but you have always been excellent with the English language:thumbsup:!!

Was just being sarcastic or joking with Bryan on my Full Tilt answer!..Cheers:thumbsup:

I don't get what you're implying here. A Washington State resident was paid a visit by the FBI who questioned him about his online activities. Why do you think this is a sucker thread?

I find it alarming - especially for our WA state members.

It's early in the morning and I've not had my second cup of java, so bear with me as I do a stream of thought rambling here......

The FBI is the lapdog of the DOJ... we've seen with with NETeller fiasco, and the other kidnappings (I'm sorry, I can't call it anything else, when people are held incarcerated and then released after coughing up money and info, LOL), the BetonSports mess, etc. Also... whenever the DOJ goes after an online casino/sportsbook, they always use a STATE doj/AG to file charges, send out warrants, yada yada...

The person who was visited by FBI (if true) was playing illegally in HIS STATE where it IS illegal to play online... and Full Tilt lets him play.. pays him, takes his deposits, etc. In my way of thinking, this provides (somewhat) legitimate grounds for going after the poker room. The player's name/address, etc., would have been easily pulled from a shut down processor... or a processor that has been taken over as a DOJ or FBI undercover operation/sting.

Do I think they're after the player? Not at this stage. They'd love to extort a bazillion dollars from FullTilt (just like they did NETeller, Party, etc.) and push them (and all the poker sites) out of the US market.

(I also think the FBI and DOJ and should be paying more attention to real CRIMES and leaving Joe Schmoe and his poker playing alone.)

That's Mousey's two cents...

Nice post! I have my range of ideas which were somewhat consistent with yours Mousey but I initially preferred to lay somewhat low in speculating. (even cryptically)!

I really thought Poker would be a UIGEA carve out and still may but much has changed. We are in an election year where the Donkeys appear to be in serious trouble.;). Also unlike most prior adminstrations, Barry O. did not clean house at the DOJ so many of the names and faces that still claim all (not just sports betting) OG is illegal (via the Wire Act of 1961) remain with the same mindset or worse!

How does this relate to Full Tilt. Not sure except a lot of the supposed Full Tilt ownership resides in the US. Also, Rennick, a former Full Tilt processor iirc, may be cooperating with the FEDS!! Just some speculative food, lol:D
