OK... I know I'm not a Canadian, but this is driving me absolutely bonkers... Why the hell are online casinos beginning shut out Canadian players?? Please... there must be some reason for this...

Perhaps if a Canadian player would email the casino group and ask? I think we'd love to see the answer. I know I would.

WTH???

What is with this trend? This makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Is this because of "widespread promotions abuse" or because of "risk of non-compliance with US legislation". Or maybe it's some other rotten flavor of errant demography.

Ok, English Harbor and anyone else taking measures like this, here's my 2 cents, even though you're not reading this. Your killing an entire market for the sake of stalling a few people who are just going to pack up and move to Latin America or somewhere else about 2 days after they've seen enough Canada banning to justify doing so. This may seem crazy to you casino people but there are lots of Canadian gamblers who really gamble online in Canada. The only way you'll be able to stop taking wagers from those who you don't want playing is to voluntarily close your business. So when this becomes an issue in Mexico then Guatemala then El Salvadore why don't you people just save yourself the time and find some other business to be in.

The short answer is that the owners of these properties, which were spun off from Leisure and Gaming plc after the UIGEA, simply do not respond to enquiries for a reason for the Canadian ban.

We tried when their VIP group did this and we still await a response.

We'll try again.

The unprofessional manner in which these bans are being imposed by this group is astonishing.

On such an important issue as locking out Canadian players one would think the process would be better planned and integrated, with firstly emails to players and affiliates, supported by clear website notices, properly briefed CSRs and finally public statements explaining the decision to online media.

All but the flagships of certain casinos coming into the US market within 'moments' of this Canadian thing is amazing too. Test the waters, save the boat.
we are in troubled waters, keep it in play, hold your cards.

I believe I read in the CAP thread that this Canadian ban was effective Feb28th -- and NO ONE knew it. Absurb situation.

I've read in another forum about a Candian player who has lost Firepay and MyCitadel as deposit methods.

Jetset, do you (or anyone) have a list somewhere of just who/what gaming related sites are shutting out Canadians?

This is entirely too weird. Given that I'm highly paranoid of late, I feel something new is afoot and it is certainly not good.

(To lojo: I've read several of your most recent posts this a.m. and all I can reply is -- huh??)

Thanks for the footnote mousey:)
I'm trying to get every DAMN penny back and then some from NLR. I thought it was chickenshit how they left 2 or 3 people. waaaaaaaaaaaa

I'm a punk, I like to break a bank. When that stock hits, I don't care if it goes from a dollar seventy four to fifteen cents back to 8 bucks, I want to ride it. NLR can KMA I'll donate to a charity. Neteller was a broker for me, and they treated me like i was nobody in the fray (I am nobody). I have no respect. If I''m able to day trade on the LSE when they delist, I hope to have enough pump to make a dollar. I could re invest in NLR

So far, the SEC won't let me day trade on the LSE when NLR delists. i thought it would happen tonight. It could happen any moment.

Neteller has no vehicle to 'reorganize' if they do, the London stock exchange is more crooked than nasdaQ or wall street.

So far i can not trade neteller when they come to play(all kinds of crap like it will be 'rationed' and 'tempered'.

BULLSH*T somebody better suck up the funds or i might start thinking class action again, but not from the consumer side, rather from an arbitrage or leverage standpoint. NLR is no more to some folks right now than Ronin is to me or you.
A simple 'charity' to pay the deserving players would be nothing. I fully expect to make 4.7 million if it lists without restrictions and I am prepared.

I think now they will list it as a cripple though, and I'm fecked. But you never know. Maybe I was fecked from the get.

See ya at the rodeo in Vegas, er not :)

Off topic but follow up. Looks like I can daytrade NLR 'sometime in the spring' without a broker. We'll see how it shakes out.

I've lost Firepay and My Citadel too. No explanation as to why but it sure makes me reluctant to keep any funds in Neteller (or any other 'wallet') now.

This should give English Harbour and Co more time to finish that blasted double up bonus game that they have been feverishly working on.
