Just registered at a casino where they claim they give you $3000 to play with for 60 minutes. Anything over $3000 in that 60 minutes is yours to keep maxing your winnings at $100(pretty standard). When you finally reach that, they ask for a $40 deposit. When I enquired as to the wage requirements it is 100x50 ($5000 WR). So I might as well take that $40 and flush it down my toilet. How do they get away with such deceptive marketing. Yes, it is in the T&C's but to advertise it as "free" is bogus. It is an accredited casino which really blows my mind. Not mad just wondering how they get away with this type of shit. Either it's free or it is not. Do not advertise it as such. You guys can probably figure out which casino it is without me having to mention it.

Sounds like a VPL or CR casino. Never took those offers.

The 40$ they only ask when you want to withdraw. At least that is how i remember it.

Nope. To withdraw that $100 I would have had to wager $5000 losing $40 in the process. The way I understood it (and I might be wrong) my $40 would have been tied up until that $5000 requirement was met. Anyway, you had it right Harry -- party of VPL. I did go into this knowing that was probably the case but a few months ago I would have taken the bait.

I just went through my records and i actually took one once like ages ago; exactly 9 years, 3 months ago ... guilty guilty guilty  was 500, 1hr free play. And you are right, if after the 1 hour you have a balance > 500 you can transfer a max. 100 to your bonus balance. However, you had to deposit 25$ to be able to transfer the 100. WR was 30 x 100, max cashout 500. Was also with VPL

I took it and busted out after 35 minutes.

Fantastic, when I see that keeping records helps now and then :)

Very wise Harry keeping records like that. I just find this unfair practice. They did make it sound that once you deposited the $40 you could have your $100 winnings. At least I will give the CS agent credit for not being deceptive. In Canada, advertising practices like this are against the law but I guess anything goes over there.

I think they ask you to make a deposit before transferring the winnings, but only if you have already taken a similar offer at another casino of their group. At least that is how I remember it.

Basically it is a 250% bonus with a 50x WR. It is pretty much designed to let you win over the $3000 so that you will deposit the $40 and then get tied into the WR. It is a very sneaky bonus. You are only given a handful of games that you can play when they give you the freeroll so that in itself makes me think that this bonus is totally rigged.
