Do you look at slot paytables when you play?

When I play a slot for the first time I generally look at the paytable for the following
  • Does it have a bonus? If so, what are the bonus symbols and how many do you need. Sick and tired of landing three scatters on a four scatter game and wasting my time celebrating…
  • The top one or two paying symbols
  • The number of paylines
  • The RTP
  • The max win potential (gotta dream)
If I try to look at anything beyond that my eyes generally glaze over.

I appreciate how Hacksaw shows some of this info on their click to continue screen as it is a good reminder.

I suspect others say bollocks to the paytable and prefer to get straight into it while learning as they play. This is pretty much my exact approach to all new NLC slots…

It appears i do not :) see winner screenshot topic

yes but usually only to see what the top paying combinations pay, and to see what the max win is.
checking the RTP is the higher priority, even games i know are 96% are still always checked every time.

i find it very entertaining to experience and learn a new slot. its fun to have random stuff happening and getting a good win without expecting it when not knowing how everything works.
but i still do check the info/paytable for the rtp

Generally not, but then there are some slots that don’t make it clear which symbols are the scatters and/or bonus triggers. If I don’t “get it” after 100 or so spins I’ll go looking. :)

No, don't look at paytables as it's like walking past a hypercar dealership tormenting yourself with things you'll never get.

I always check the paytable before playing a new slot. It helps to understand the game’s structure and avoid surprises. I’d recommend that everyone do the same

If I just miss a lot of lines of four or five OAK, sometimes I'll look to see exactly what it could've paid.
Did that with 100,000 pyramid when I got 4 wilds and the fifth missed by one space. Even though it says it in the name (100,000 line credits). Playing 15x3p per line, it was the difference between £30 and £3000. Last time I’ll look at a paytable!!

*Nods* I had four OAK bison 12 ways in Big Bad Bison. There were bison in the sixth reel but not the fifth. Six OAK bison would've been huge at like 30 somethin ways.
