Do casinos try their luck in sending you to dispute in the hope you won't do it?

This seems to be a very common occurrence in this industry. Do they factor into their business model the risk/reward of sending you to dispute with IBAS, working out how many people actually go to IBAS and how many do not? There are many obvious cases I have been in in which it is so obvious they are wrong. They know it too, but they will still be persistent in sending you to IBAS. This will then take another 6 months for you to win the case and then probably another month for them to actually pay out.

And there is nothing you can do about it. You just have to wait that 6 months and they go on and do it again to the next customer.

IBAS, that bastion of completely siding with casinos 99% of the time.

They are a disgrace.

I don't disagree with you here. IBAS can be disgraceful in their decision making during disputes. Casinos likely factor this in when sending you to them.

But 99% is an exaggeration. You have a 50/50 chance. It can often be luck of the draw with IBAS and sometimes they make no sense in their decision making.

Videoslots just ignore them when they rule against them anyway, so they probably just think, what the hell, why work, just rule against the customer.

Is there a thread behind this? Videoslots is rated very highly on here so would be interested to see.

I have had a decision ignored by a casino and it is very hard to get back in contact with IBAS. Usually takes many months to get a single email reply.

Haven't seen IBAS making totally weird decisions on casinos favor, have seen quite few for player and casinos side both but they have quite a good reasoning in their decisions.

IBAS upheld two cases I raised with them, couldn't do anything about one other because they dont deal with SE. Agree though that casinos do tend to go for broke with this approach. Your goosed with SE all the time though, only the UKGC or other body can deal with it.

What was the SE issue? I have had success using consumer law in the dispute.

With that Maxent/Betat company. Was excluded from Betat and then was able to play at Slotty Vegas and they got out of it by saying Maxent was a new company and it didnt apply.

Had to go to the UKGC and will never know the outcome. Safe to say I got nothing back and they are long gone from the UK now.

IBAS fucked me over with a Betfair complaint that was 100% legit years ago. They are about as independent as a Scientology follower.

May be the case they dont deal with bigger operators the same way. Ones I won against were small in comparison.
