Question Disconnecting and "losing" free spins (Captain Venture)

Just trying to work something out. Was playing Captain Venture and it was pretty much murdering me for around 200x before throwing a bonus at me. Looked like a decent one too, with retriggers and plenty of smaller wins. Was 30 spins or so in, with 20 or 30 something remaining when I got abruptly disconnected. I've had issues with connection stabilty on Novomatics in particular on this casino, but it's been more of an annoyance than anything.

So I load the thing up again, and my stake is reset, bonus is gone and my balance has reverted to where it was before the bonus started.

I get in touch with the live support and whoever this person is has no interest in trying to explain to me what has happened, and well, just brushes me off with a "unfinished games always resume" and "you're probably on bad wi fi, can I help you with anything else?". I clearly explain to this person that I have no hopes of getting my "lost" winnings, but I do want to know why this happened and how. "Log in and out again". Alright. Thanks. Gee.

I check my game history, and it seems my last registered debit was nearly ten minutes before my first one after loading it up again after disconnecting. Not sure if the wins of the bonus are credited as they come or if they're added up as a single big win at the end on the casino's side. Is it possible to somehow get disconnected from the server, not get booted from the game and literally keep playing offline as if you were still playing as usual? Figured someone here might actually have a definite answer to this.

Never had anything like this happen ever, and I'm at least relieved it wasn't anything huge "lost", but this sure as hell makes me way more nervous about unstable connections when playing slots.

... and of course I went right back in, super pissed off at the game and that absolute tit in live support, and blasted through the rest of my balance in ten minutes tops before closing my account. Explained it all to this guy too. He didn't give a fuck. Fantastic support personnel all around.
 
That is weird as Novomatic normally resume the bonus where you left or from the point you did get disconnected from the server.
So that is really really strange.

Did your balance update after every win in the free spins? As it should add every win in the free spins.
 
Everything went along as normal. Balance updated with every win, at least in the game interface. So yeah, it is weird, and the only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that I got booted but not booted, and that the bonus I had going wasn't actually "real". It's a first for me at least.
 
Yeah that is really strange, I got disconnected before when playing a bonus on Captain Venture but it was my own internet connection that went down, after it came back I reopened the game and it just continued where I left it before the disconnection.

I assume the same happens when you get disconnected from their servers.

I must say I find the games play a bit laggy lately on several casinos.
Slow spinning reels and you get that message saying, connecting to the server or something similar like that.
 
But the honorable casino told me that my bad WiFi was the culprit!!!!!! No issues on their end at all.

Well that is what happened to me, my internet went down..
So even if it would be your WiFi, the progress of your free spins round should have been recorded by the server at any time.
With Novomatic slots you can actually see your game ID or spin ID when playing the game and you can also look back in the game history, maybe that is worth a try?
