So i played on casinoheroes yesterday for few hours, won some money and then withdraw.
Today i check my account to see if the withdraw was done, it was.
but then i did see something strange. I dont use this casino much, mostly when then have some good promotion.
I got a limit of 20€ per month, but now after withdraw it says i can deposit 70€ :)
Is this normal practise? of just ,,,,,

Seems that they count your "net deposits", all withdrawals are increasing with that amount. Not sure how common this type limit is, not using limits myself.

At least some time ago it was more common to have deposit limit which have nothing to do with your withdrawals and then loss limit which count your net losses for certain period but these didn't count deposits at all but only your wagers in games.

This type of limit can be some enhanced version to these old ones where loss limit let you deposit how much you ever want but money then remain on your account and you can't play before oldest game rounds drop outside of time period and deposit limit then didn't you deposit anything over your limit even you withdrew huge amount. Not seeing any big problems there if it's explained how it works.

Its cause you have a loss limit of 20€.
Whatever you cash out, gets added on top

I don't have loss limit. Only deposit limit

@Slottery you are correct, what i withdraw will be added to my deposit limit, So when i withdrew 70€ yesterday that means i can deposit 70€ still. I did try it and seem to work, not seen this before on casinos but its one way to get ppl to play back what they win even if they have a deposit limit and withdrawn.

Haven't been following how these limits been implemented in different platforms, this does make sense as a net deposit limit.

Would hope that it would be bit more clearly stated there, it's easy to understand approach that withdrawals are taken off from deposit amount but it then bring it closer to net loss limit, so few words stating that it's counting NET and not TOTAL deposits within period would make it clear (That change proably would happen if somebody like @spiker1977 now would deposit over 20€ and complain about it, IF it's not mentioned anywhere how this is counted as it should).

Sounds like a dirty tactic to hope you send your winnings right back to them. Imagine if you had a $1000 score on a $20 deposit and cash it out because you don't want to be tempted to gamble it. You lose the few dollars in change you left to play with and click the deposit button, only to see it giving you the option to dump that $1000 right back in, the very thing you were trying to avoid.

I'm all for players taking responsibility for themselves and casinos and governments not forcibly babysitting their players and telling them what they can't do with their money, but when a player specifically chooses of their own volition to use a responsible gaming feature and a casino tries to wiggle around it, that's dirty.

A deposit limit is not the same as a "net deposit", no matter what semantic games the casino tries to play. Players have a variety of reasons for choosing responsible gaming options, and just because the casino knows the player has some "extra" they could send back is no reason to take their responsible gaming limits away from them. There's a reason a player chose to set that deposit limit and to move their money out of the casino, and it's probably because they don't want to be tempted to lose $1000 in one go. Whether that's because they can't afford to gamble a certain amount or simply don't want to be tempted to enter a negative spiral of gambling is irrelevant, whatever reason the player has for setting the deposit limit should be respected.

But the casino knows it's enough of a grey area that they can get away with it, and most people will probably just shrug and move on, so they do things like this here and there to squeeze out some extra money and it all adds up.

You are right @zreb,
When the casino marker is getting harder to make profit, More and more dirty tricks/grey area stunts will be use by the casino, even they are under MGA licence. Its all about the money,.

One more casino that uses the same tactic.

Alas this is the old scam we used to see at Redbet etc. There is a 'deposit limit' that is actually mis-described and is really a loss limit. This is solely to ensure you cannot block your account against losing money to them for the period in question. They would hate it if you had a monthly deposit limit of say 100, played it and won and withdrew 5k and couldn't spunk any back in for the remainder of the period in question. Shady, shitty practice. The UKGC should be on to this if it's still happening.
