Question Demo Play

Most casinos offer you "demo play" on slots. What i'm wondering is - do the demo games work in exactly the same way as the real money versions?

That is:

Are they connected to the same RNG as the real version?

Are they adjustable to show wins more frequently than you might get in real-play mode so as to entice you in?

This has been covered before and general conclusion is that they should and do play exact same way.

The one definite exception is some of the playtech games as they do not all play the same in demo as real play.

The other softwares ie netent, MG, WMS etc all seem to play same in both modes tho.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm gonna do a little test and see if they perform similarly (I.e. demo vs real). Nothing scientific, just to satisfy my own curiosity.

Agree with the above. Avengers was shown to be very different in demo mode to real-play mode.

that some casinoswere manipulating and setting way higher rtp-rates on demo play - i read it a couple of months ago.

The game RTP's of all the major softwares are controlled by the software providers, not the casinos. The only time that would be possible is if the casino had it's own bespoke games or in a very rare instance (like I think Bodog di many years ago), bought the source code.

Casino Rewards may not be guilty of this manipulation point but their 'Hour Free Play' promotions the games are set to basically 'empty themselves' and it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to lose!

Gives a very false impression to 'newbies' but I guess we all have to learn the hard way!

That's a shame, especially for a slot like Avengers. Surely having the proper version is more likely to get a player playing your game? If they play it and know it's different they might feel a bit conned.
