Can someone please explain this promo to me ? Its the free 1k play in 60 minutes one. I have just read the t&c but i allways miss somthing:mad: So lets say i end up after the 60 mins on 1.5k, What happens then please ? Please take me through every step so i understand. Heres what i think happens lol. i win 1.5k and then i deposit 50 and play with 1550 ? and have to hit the wager req to cash out ? Am i close or miles off ? thanks for reading and gl to you all. hushda24 x

If they give you $1000 to play with and you end up with $1500 I'm pretty sure you get to keep a certain amount over the $1000. That depends on the particular casino. It might be $200 for example. So if you deposit $50 you would have $250 to play with. Possibly or most likely with wagering requirements.

Well, this is really an old 400% deposit promotion which have been rewamped to fit the addicted brains better, :D The promo works like this:

1. Maximum deposit bonus is 400% on $50.
2. To do this you need to work for it, so with wagering requirements and such your goal is to hit $1200 and stop the promo and deposit 50.
3. You now have 250 to play with!

Also note, if you start winning early - (typical of the initial $50 deposit) be sure to check out your cashable balance during play since you might earn a lot of cash just by bailing out earlier!

This promo is geared in all retrospects for a gambling mind, and is why the older ones (400%) were so much cleaner and more honest.

I know - my opinion, :D

More honest?

They have all the rules and everything listed, so what's so dishonest about it?

Well, we know now for a fact that the goal is to get a person gambling for a few hours to get them in into a gambling set of mind, or warm if you like. Look at the bet365 case. If this person also have gambling problems, hence a good customer, they are more likely to deposit more aswell since they are already in the preferred state of mind.

Then - comparing the original 400% match desposit to the latest version of the same promotion (after all it's the same rules and same amount so it cannot be seens as something else than an altered version) it cannot be seen than nothing else than a dishonest attempt to lure gamblers into depositing larger amounts.

Sure there are a lot of players just having fun, but if the gambling addicts isn't added into the mix the whole promo is worthless! People without problems are not the people the casino earns money from, they are also not the ones the promos are made for.

Maby I should post my thoughts in markeding instead, :D

i just look at all these free 1 hour play or free $1000 play deals as glorified match deposits,
i think its all about marketing there product, when people see a freeplay offer they are more likely to want to play this as playing them doesnt cost you anything, but if they just put get a 400% match bonus, you have to deposit your own money to get it, so people are more likely to skip it, once people have played the free play offer if they have won on it, they are more likely to deposit, you must admit its a clever ploy by the casino's to get you to deposit, otherwise why would 90% of these casino's bother doing it, they aint stupid:D

So we agree here! Just want to comment on a few of your words though:

Sure, but what's the point then? Why even sign up for a real account if you are playing for fun money (why not use the demo account, you can atleast play all the games then and not the flash version), that don't make any sense and should not be an argument in the casino's favour.

you must admit its a clever ploy by the casino's to get you to deposit

This is more or less my argument, and it's not honest looking at what the banners tell you, :)

sorry i should have said ,when people see a freeplay offer they are more likely to want to play this as playing them doesnt cost them anything, but when they hit the big win to get the max bonus, they would be more inclined to deposit because they think they have already won despite them having to deposit to release the bonus, and make the WR
i hope that makes sense lol,

take the people who use all the free codes at the rogue rtg casinos, playing them they might have a 1% chance of getting something for nothing, but just playing in free mode you have a 0% chance of winning any $
ive posted on other forums why people bother to play them ,why dont they just play in fun mode and was told that its more exciting to play for real $ even though they knew they wouldnt get paid, its just the way some minds tick i suppose,

as winbig said if They have all the rules and everything listed, what's so dishonest about it?,
its like the tv adverts, mcdonalds putting there adverts on at certain times when they know the kids will be watching, knowing full well that then the kids will moan to there parents until they buy them some, (just one example),
is that dishonest,no, its just clever marketing,

im babbling :D

:D I like your arguments, because if I am correct you see and understand my point of view only that you are not sure what the point in arguing it might be. And yes - if we indeed agree - not only you but I am babbling aswell, :D

Then again alot of influencial groups would beg to differ, many will not think it's clever marketing however very cunning - agains their parents who have to pay for it. It's no problem to fool the children, since you infact throw the bill at the parents...

And still - the fact remains - is it OK to advertise free money when it's not free after reading the terms?

There is no such thing as a free lunch, however people are stupid in general, and that's why we have certain rules and regulations. If we all do and say whatever we like, whats the use in having laws at all? Even police? Maby a to broadened view, but a little set of moral rules never hurt I think. I almost feel sorry to say, I like honesty, :D

I almost forgot, if McDonalds had made a commercial with "Free Ice Cream"... And later on you needed to buy 2 Bic Macs to get it... And also, if you ate one of them outside McDonalds you would not only loose the free icecream, but be excluded from ever buying anything from them again...

I believe there would have been alot of commotion...

Dude, there's hundreds, if not thousands, of advertisements that offer FREE* stuff. Get over it already. :)

Customer service

Hush, my advice would be to go to livechat and ask them about it. I downloaded this offer, but I was unable to play it due to some problem with my computer, ISP configuration. Support staff could not have been nicer, and the tech guy they hooked me up with was very helpful, but the work involved to be able to take this free offer was more than I was willing to do to add one more casino to my desktop.

I always like to use livechat with support so that I have a record...and if the CSR misinforms you, in my opinion they are the agent for the casino, and I would expect a reputable casino to back up what their representative tells you. I always read the terms and conditions for any offer, and usually feel I understand them, but I usually check with casino support as I go along to make sure I am understanding them correctly, and to have written confirmation of that understanding.

I hope you achieve a cashout.

Hush, I have not read these particular T&C's but I know in other freeplay bonuses you have to make a minimum number of bets to be eligible, probably 100.
It is a clever promotion because as Kimss says it gets people in the gambling mood but is also a good way of showing off their games with something at stake.
I don't think the promo's are dishonest but it would be hard to argue that banner headlines like $1000 Free keep what you win etc are anything but misleading. Nature of the beast.

Obviously not... It says in the T&C/EULA (...) which everyone reads, that you don't so everything is supposedly OK!

Big text: Get $1.000 in real cash - and keep all you winnings, no playthrough, no strings attached, small tekst: accept the one at the bottom of the following page...

Well, some people want to live in a world with the above banners - I don't. Luckily in Norway we don't have banners like this since we have laws agains cunning and sneaky lying companies, you get huge fee's depending on what you made from the banners! Honest banners, where you infact do what you say you do, no problems at all! Misleading is a nice words - in plain words it's lying! Problem is it's a business that get's away with lying - that doesn't mean I accept it! Isn't the company supposed to build thrust to the players, nice start! Way to go!

So I'm done people, move to Norway and you will most likely experience the light and share our views on ads, :D

Yehaa, I'm ready for coffee now!

Actually that sounds like a purdy damn good idea considering the way the USA is going these days...

Can't help myself, Riverbelle is spamming a friend of mine and here is the promo she never asked for.

20 Minute mania!
Spin for FREE and win for REAL!
You get 500 free credits to start. At the end of your 20 minutes, winnings over the initial 500 are yours to keep! This amount will be credited to your real money account once you've made the relevent deposit

So, we do have that link some people in find so normal, the "Terms apply". Here we can read that you can only win 25 credits, and to collect them you will have to deposit another 50...

Come on people, can't we make theese casinos appear with a little more deacent promos! This is just a crappy 50% match bonus!

I know, I am riding a dead horse here, but I just feel for my friend wasting happyness and excitement, but luckily stopped when reading the revealing T&C.

Who has the time to waste for a promo like this with a 50% match you have to work for, when most casinos have a 100% match anyways? I do not get it, maby they believe they are the only casino out there?

Oh well! Waiting for that 3Dice server to get back on track, got the freespins in the tourney and it said poof!

LOL! I understand more and more I have a lost cause here looking at how free marked works! Just listened to an american radioshow and had to rewind the commercial just to be clear just what happened!

It was a commercial for the WebEx webservice delivered by Cisco. It was a promotion where you got a free webcam, and at the end of the promotion there was a smurf voice. I didn't catch it at first, since it was to fast , most likely speeded up to 150% speed atleast and was delivered by a fast talker. After rewinding 4 times and listeing carefully I got it:

Free webcams are available while suply lasts, terms and restrictions apply see website for details!

So there it is, and for arguments sake in casino terms it could be the webcams are only for people already registered with the service, infact there could be 50 terms on their page. I see why they do it, seconds on air costs money, this part of the message is pretty non-interesting for the salespitch and they can't deliver webcams til enternity... But a smurf voice in fast forward so you need to rewind to get it? I guess it stands in court, and in the end that is what its all about It seems!

Maby some of you love such advertisment tricks, I for one dont! I hope I am atleast humouring some of you out there with theese posts!

My Mum was in Norway on holiday, cruising up the coast. What shocked her were the PRICES:eek::eek: (She really liked the scenery though, and if I ever win a progressive I might go myself, and even be able to afford the coffee:) )

I thought our Motorway services were expensive, but Norway makes them look like Aldi:D

What shocked her were the PRICES:eek::eek:

$5 for a cup of coffe, it's all wonderful up here! I also think we ruined Gran Canaria by sending pools of drunken countrymen there for years, I heard the coffe cost +$4 there aswell now - that is - for Norwegians, :D

Oh yes, storeprice for a pack of cigarettes: $13, even better a pack of tobacco $29!

I lived in sweden for a few years, having my precious norwegian kroners with me - and I must say they went far! I almost feel like moving back enjoying the inflation, :D
