KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) - A national poker champion from southwest Virginia was 1 of 16 people arrested during a gambling raid in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Police say 82-year-old Paul "Cigar" McKinney of Weber City was arrested on Friday after police got a tip on a poker game.

McKinney won the World Series of Poker seniors event two years ago in Las Vegas, taking home over $200,000.

His biography for the tournament listed his hobbies as "moonshine, cigars and young women."

There was no phone number listed for McKinney in Weber City.

Both McKinney and 46-year-old Donnie Godsey, of Church Hill, Tennessee, were charged with aggravated gambling promotion for allegedly organizing and promoting the event.

Police also said they found pills identified as Schedule III narcotics in McKinney's pocket.
