Has anyone managed to get through all the achievements?
Maybe I've been doing something wrong but I've tried this game few times and it seems you can never have a winning session on this slot?
Worst paying bonus round comes up at least ~50% of the time ... then medium sized maybe 30% and top one 20% (my guesstimate). Also it's true reels are not random and are not even pretending to be. Just switch from 15 to 5 lines and observe how everything changes.
Can't believe it's 96.47% All the money must go towards those "locked door" symbols lol.
Also payout structure is pretty weak and shows Rabcat's lack of experience. Ie. 2 of a kind will pay 3xbet, 3 of a kind 4x bet and 4 of a kind 5xbet
Considering the fact that you get 2 of a kind all the time and 4 of a kind only sometimes this is pretty counter-intuitive. Good paying symbols practically never form any combinations and only get you annoyed cause they obstruct wilds that combined with low paying symbols are the only way for player to get ahead. This game had great potential but there's still a lot that Rabcat needs to learn in terms of building a proper slot game
Yes I did. I've actually done 2 "game cycles" (ie all the castles built and achievements earned).
Looking back at my playcheck stats, it took 4,945 spins to get there.
I have played a total of 4 sessions at min bet. Here were the results.....
Session 1: 659 spins (£98.85 wagered). Amount lost: £2.34
Session 2: 1711 spins (£256.65 wagered). Amount lost: 8p
Session 3: 1459 spins (£218.85 wagered). Amount lost: £22.97
Session 4: 1116 spins (£167.40 wagered). Amount lost: £8 exactly
Total of the 4 sessions: 4945 spins (£741.75 wagered). Total losses £33.39. RTP about 95.5% (I hope I calculated that right).
Would I agree that it seems "unlikely" to have a winning session? For the most part, yes. To have a realistic shot at a winning session (ie one
with "modest profit"), you still need a good bit to fall your way. IE lots of 3 and 4OAKs of the building material symbols to generate bigger pots.
THEN you have to avoid the lowest payout on those occasions. And they would also need to happen on the later castles within each kingdom.
In my experience, you will hit the lowest payout the vast majority of the time, regardless of what kingdom and what stage within the kingdom.
My biggest payout was £11.20 on one of the later Ilrian (third kindgom) castles.
As far as the base game goes, my biggest win was £2.50 (for a 5OAK of the "swag bag" - or whatever the hell it is).
I never even saw a 4OAK for any of the 4 highest paying symbols, let alone a 5OAK. I think I got one 3OAK of the door and only once did I get
a wild on the first 3 reels and all on the same payline. In fact, I never saw a spin with an outcome of 4 doors (or wilds) appearing on a full screen, let alone
the same payline. But given that even as little as ONE 4OAK of the door is likely to ensure a break-even or minisculely profitable session,
I can't really say that I'm surprised that such hits are about as rare as hens teeth.
If anyone ever gets a 5OAK of the door or of the wilds, they are doing damn well. I'd almost suggest that it would be easier to get a 4 reel
Wild Desire than to get a 5OAK of the wilds on Castle Builder (OK maybe I am a little guilty of hyperbole there lol).
As for hitting a 5OAK of the building materials, I managed it ONCE.
The achievement bonuses are completely lame. The biggest one I got was less than 4x bet (54p I think).
You best hope for a winning session (where the profit is actually worth talking about) lies with hitting the 5OAK of the door or the wild.
Best of luck with that.
IMO It is perfect for grinding out WR. To the extent that I would almost expect casinos to prevent wagers on this game being allowed
to count towards WRs on bonuses . But it is also one of those games that can get boring fairly quickly. One for setting on autoplay while you go make a
cuppa, eat your dinner, take a dump, whatever.
One final thing I noticed. There seemed to be a rather frequent "mystery balance boost" thing going on. I think I had one instance where
I had a dead spin...and saw my balance increase by more than £5.
