Casino Fortune / CNN Video

I liked the part about psychologist. If I lose a bunch of money at Crystal Palace will Warren pop for a shrink if I go crazy?

That news piece is the biggest crock I have ever seen. Where the hell are they getting their information from? First of all I don't think there is one online casino, reputable or not that will get you a psychologist if they detect problem gambling patterns, that's just BS. It's funny how the news caster says that it is illegal to gamble online in most States but it is hard to get caught so go ahead and break the law, pretty much. It almost seems like it is a joke piece.

That news piece is nothing short of a paid commercial. I'd venture to say it was taped at the International Bureau but totally outside the United States.

CNN fn is definitely a US program... that channel is almost never found overseas - I know because when I travel the TV is always left on CNN if it exists.

Other than a few generalizations and exaggerations, it wasn't too bad. The psychologist part was definitely BS.

The newscaster didn't say it is illegal in most states, however, she said it is generally different on a state by state basis and that Utah is the only state that prohibits all forms of gambling.

"Sunny Group's Casino Fortune really on CNN?
June 25, 2004

The message boards were buzzing with speculation this week about what appeared to be substantial CNN coverage of a Sunny Group casino.

But we are reliably informed that the program was actually a very clever marketing ploy put together by the Vendare marketing group out of New York and Sherman Oaks California, and used on it's Flipside.com site.

The Flipside network offers online games and links and boasts some 20 million members, with six million visits a month.

But the "program" did not run on the world coverage news channel. As at press time, the Sunny Group had not responded to our press enquiry."
