Calculating Wins

I was wondering if it is possible for software to miscalculate your wins.
For example, lets say I was betting .20cents and upped my bet to .40cents and any winning lines that may occur be miscalculated and you are paid less than what you should have been paid?
It is a question in general and not targeted at any specific online casino. :)

as a computer program, i'd say there was no way the game could mistakenly short-change you. the game could be programmed to do so, but that would be a preconceived malicious act and not a live software error. or a really boneheaded programmer not matching the paytables to the game mechanics which could be oversight or a deliberate misdeed.

nothing concrete to answer you, only that if you were shorted, it was most likely deliberate and not an honest mistake.

Thank you both for your replies.
happygobrokey....so am I assuming correctly that in no way, shape, or form it could be the software at all?!?
Let me elaborate abit more and say that I'm not talking about a constant error in calculations but rather an odd time or two.

yeah, so far as i see it. it spits out the random number which corresponds to what symbols show, and the rest is calculation based on the winline and amounts bet on those winlines. computers can always do math accurately.

UNLESS as has been posited that the symbols are "all for show" and a numeric win (properly weighted based on the paytable/reel layout or not?) is selected and the software mistakenly/lazily displays an improper graphic when trying to represent that win amount. i still think it would have to check what the bet is on each line before it displays any symbols in order to make the output look acceptable, but there could be room for an unintentional winline appearing but overlooked by the game when the "meaningless" graphic is generated.

i suppose even in the first scenario there is a chance for error in the looking up of the winlines, but i don't think this is what you are talking about anyway. it sounds like you're asserting that all of the winlines were paid disproportionately, not a failure of any one winline to register.

sorry i can't be more help, but i really don't think it's possible, unless maybe they filled the viewable paytable out wrong. did you have the same win at a lower bet for the same absolute amount, or was it the first time you got that sort of win and it didn't correspond to what the paytable shows? that's the only other idea i can come up with.

A screenshot from yesterday

Well, the screenshot really says it all, doesn't it? Winning 43.10 during feature, only getting paid 42.84..

Just to clear it up

PS. I didn't win on any lines with the scatters. This is the scatter layout I got. I got a tip that line wins would cause this behaviour (thanks Trollet :))

Hi slafs,

You did indeed stumble across a display bug in Super Suits (caused by a combination of your betsize, and certain wins during the freespins.). Payout of the spin happened correctly and only the display of the feature total (4 parts added together) was off in this scenario. The issue has been resolved, and the update is being rolled out as we speak. I've also taken the liberty of adding a little comp to your account for bringing this to our attention !

Kindest Regards,

Enzo
