EASING THE EYE STRAIN

Sore, red-rimmed eyes and whacked out brains from too much Internet? The Japanese may have an answer!

Gambling fans suffering from sore eyes and tired brains may be able to perk up with "Game Suppli," a new supplemental drug product developed specifically for the Japanese gaming addicts, Reuters reports.

Manufacturer Kyowa-Yakuhin has developed two different supplements for the "Game Suppli" range: blueberry tablets that target tired eyes, and transparent capsules containing Docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA - a fatty acid that apparently enhances concentration and refreshes the brain.

"We concentrated on developing a supplement for those who love games," reads the advert for the pills on Cyber Gadget.co.jp, a website that sells a range of accessories for video game fans.

unfortunately, as with gambling, there are addicted gamers. there are also professional gamers, who play as a sport and can make good cash (i think 25000 apiece for the national/world champion) by entering tournaments/events. these pros need to memorize all the levels of halo 2 or whatever deathmatch shooter, and practice their strategy and execution.

some players will play 8-12 hours a day alone and with their team, practicing the games for the upcoming event. and the event itself could include a ten-hour session in a day, where you really have to be in it like it's work because money is at stake. like a pro poker player, too, you need to be able to do the long haul and maintain near perfect accuracy the whole stretch of it.

and japan just makes every kind of product like that. they have "air bars" where you ingest/inhale flavoured air and recently the addition of vapourised alcohol to the mix. and gambling parlours there have oxygen masks you can tap into when you spend your time following hard business day in best pachinko parlour spa.

not to mention, why not sell something there is a market for? soft drink companies are already aiming energy drinks at the video gaming demographic. mountain dew game fuel was unveiled and released the same day as halo 3. my money's on this new japanese stuff becoming the new red bull.

The best drink in the world though has to be IRN BRU. It is the only drink to outsell coke in one country in the world, Scotland. It's a great drink and if you drink it fast it it makes you loopy for a bit because of the collossal amount of sugar and secret ingredigents!!

Here is a comedian doing a sketch on it and why it isn't allowed to be sold in America. Just watch it from 2.30mins on
