Bgo withdrawal issue

Hi guys,

I’d like to get some advice about if I am in the wrong or not.

I deposited at bgo many times. Most recent are all with MasterCard - this because my PayPal was hacked and I am awaiting the aftermath. Agreed with PayPal my accoubt is on hold for 180 days so they can sort it out too.

I won some money at BGO and requested a withdrWal to the bankaccount connected to my MasterCard.
They emailed me saying they sent it to my PayPal - they haven’t even asked me about it.

I am quite annoyed as this means I can’t access the money for quite some time. Bgo says they have the right to send it there...

IS it just my bad luck and so I have to acxept this?

I wonder if a merchant can reverse a payment to paypal, if so perhaps it might be worth making a formal complaint to BGO, providing all the paypal info so they can see for themselves the account is locked, and then if BGO don't budge escalate to the adr.

Some casino sites seem to insist on balancing the deposits and withdrawal levels to the different methods and not care about the last or recent methods used, don't understand the logic of it fully as a procedure, why
equalising payments to paypal is so important, as paypal is just linked to a bank account.

william hill do it a lot and it pisses me off, when I've deposited say £200 from bank A and they insist on me sending the £250 won to bank B, because historically I've lost more from there.

I think there is a BGO rep but not sure how active/helpful they are

I'd perhaps write one last time specifically asking for their final reply on the matter, once you're in a 'deadlock' you can then go to the adr [or if the complaint is unresolved after 8 weeks]

Yeah this is what I did.
I asked for a clear statement on the issue so I can escalate it.
I asked them to dispute the payment but they say they can’t.

If you requested the withdrawal to your mastercard and then clicked proceed, and they wanted to send the payment instead to paypal, a warning should have come up that the transaction to the mastercard was not possible and then ask do you wish to proceed with the transaction and send it instead to paypal.

If that didn't happen they must surely be in the wrong I would have thought, maybe the rules let them but I've always been given the option to proceed when the casino system won't allow me to use the withdrawal method I've selected.

Perhaps paypal could just allow you to withdraw this sum of money if you explain the mistake BGO made, and then freeze the account again, if the paypal account was frozen should paypal have accepted the payment in the 1st place I wonder

I asked a withdrWL to my bank as masterxaed doesn’t always process refund. Instead theys sent it to my PayPal without any asking.

PayPal is frozen 180 days - this Give PayPal time to fix the issue with being hacked and sort out those transactions...

Sounds like you've got a good case that BGO cocked up here, perhaps why they're not responding as they know they should've asked first.

I wonder if it's in the BGO t&c's that they can override your choice, or if the UKGC have any guidance on making withdrawals, how it should proceed.

Surely withdrawals to a master card would make a positive balance which most cards won’t allow hence why it was sent to yer pay pal??
But why not send it to the bankaccount? It’s a debit card so the funds come from that bankaccount.

I also didn’t deposit with PayPal my last20+deposits. They didn’t even ask if they could send it there.

They say “close the loop”. But only 20 has ever been deposited with PayPal - 1000’s have been done by card.

I was looking . 4.12 in their terms and conditions seems to imply they can overide the choice. It says they may allocate the withdrawal to a previously used method of their choice.

just looking now and I can't see that, I have found:

[is there another new set of terms somewhere?]

4. DEPOSITING AND WITHDRAWING FUNDS

Depositing funds

4.1 You may add funds to your account by a variety of payment methods, including (but not limited to) Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Maestro, Skrill and Neteller. Methods available can vary dependent on where you are located and this will be reflected in the options presented to you in our intuitive cashier. You can only use a payment method registered in your name to deposit funds. If you deposit using a payment method in respect of which you are not the account holder, we reserve the right to treat any deposit as being invalid and any winnings arising from such deposit as void, pending the satisfactory completion of all relevant checks.

4.2 You may select more than one method of payment. When you add a new payment method, you must make a deposit via that payment method, before any withdrawal can be processed to that payment method.

4.3 The minimum amount which you can deposit in your account in a single transaction is £10 (or an equivalent in your chosen currency). You can set a deposit limit on your account at any time by visiting the ‘Responsible Gaming’ section of the Websites. Any deposit limit that you set cannot be increased without giving us 24 hours’ notice of your wish to increase your deposit limit and only when you re-request the increase after 24 hours have elapsed will the increase apply.

Where are the rest of the terms

You may select a preferred withdrawal method provided you have already deposited with that method. Where multiple payment methods have been used on a single account, we may allocate the withdrawal to the payment method of our choice. We may process withdrawals for over £10,000 by wire transfer.

That seems abit cockeyed in this day and age not to present you with the choice

Numbers are like 1,2,3,4,5

Or, if @ternur will attest to, there is only 666

Yes. And it actually poses a problem sometimes.

Imagine the client receiving their paid for contract draft with f***d up numbers in sections and clauses. I need to use numbering assistant software in order to have a valid enumeration scheme
