Is the device found here Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) worth the money? What advantage % we shall expect from its use?

Lets say you are allowed to use it can someone tell me how much % i gain by betting only in a positive count?

Am in the uk and here many casinos like gala, golden nugget etc. are like pub's.You can watch a table for hours and jump in and out as many times as you like. You don't have to be at the table to count.....

Please allow me to give a VERY PERSONAL opinion.
In the event that you are allowed (which btw is as far fetched as my mother doing the tango with a broken hip- but yet, not impossible) you gain nothing.
ABOSOLUTLY nothing. No skill, not pride, no nothing.

But then, I guess they are making card counting a 'game' in itself now. If you are not 'smart' enough to do it on your own, hey, let us help you cheat and prostitute the game.

JUST an opinion, mind you.

Why don't you get one of those and play the online casinos, maybe you can learn something. Make sure you get a 30day money back garuantee, and if it did not help your game, give it back.

*This user have an incredable urge to start growling at her screen.*

I believe it is against all land based casino rules to use any kind of electronic device at a table. I am not sure if it is actual law, meaning you can be criminally prosecuted but I am sure you will find yourself being thrown on your arse out the front door of the casino if caught.

I worked in a Landbased casino in South Africa, and if we even suspected that you had a funny COUGH you'd be out on your ear lovey!

It is against the CASINO rules. Finish and klaar.

What are you talking about 'woman who lives in London'.Your email has nothing to do with what I asked. This is the third time am going to ask if you gain any percentrage with the use of this device under the hypothesis that you are allowed to use it.So far nobody has replied properly and that's fair enough but mind your implications gal(if any).I am aware that casino's forbit it.All I wanted to know is if it actually works to beat the house edge.

By the way if you are not 'smart' enough to type without errors, hey, let us help you prosper on that ;) .

In the event that am allowed to use it am quite certain I must gain a small % in favour of me(Maybe Grandmaster :notworthy can mathematically clarify that for me).

Yeah Black21Jack that's the case certainly but I would like to stick with the question 'if it works' rather than expanding it elsewhere. The method of adding or substracting depending on the cards dealt ain't SO difficult to learn doing it on your own however i have some reservations so am seeking advices from those who can actually prove mathematically if you gain any edge over the casino.

Hey, if you wantto make it personnal, go for it. I gave an opinion.
Let me tell you what to expect, in PRETTY GOOD ENGLISH-

If you use an effective counting system (which we don't know this is) and if you pick tables with favourable rules, and if you are able to avoid casino heat, and if you bet optimally with a large bank roll - well, then you just might make a killing with that little device you are asking about. Realistically, a competent counter should rake in 1 to 2 percent return of money wagered.
ie: @ 50 hands an hour, with an average bet of around 2 units, playing a 1-4 bet spread, yield 1-2 units an hour. Of course, the larger the betting unit, the larger the number. However, the larger the betspread, the more heat you are going to pick up.

I DO hope this is going to answer you.

;)

Yeah, in essence it tells you when the count is in your favor so you can bet big and hopefully win. The problem I see is you'll look rather suspicious (or horny  ) if you have one hand in your pocket and keep moving your fingers everytime a card is dealt! They'll boot you for either being a cheat or a perv, or maybe both lol.

It looks like the way it works is you press one of the 2 top buttons for a high card, the other for a low card and probably the bottom one to reset it when the shoe is shuffled. I imagine it would vibrate when the count gets seriously in your favor.

My understanding of this gadget agrees with jpm's. It only keeps the running count, and you would still need to calculate the true count and learn at least correct basic strategy.

Why don't you buy Stanford Wong's Professional Blackjack instead? It only costs $19.95 or 10.01 from amazon.co.uk.

The more I think about this thing, the more I have to laugh as I picture someone who has no idea of basic BJ strategy buying one of these and heading off to his local B&M casino with visions of $$ in his eyes. He bets the minimum every hand while furiously pressing the buttons on his remote and bets a wad on the next hand when it finally starts buzzing. He's dealt 77 vs dealer 10 and is totally stumped.
