- not sure why this link says what it does it does link to the story.

The BBC has told it's staff to stop tweeting political views after BBC News presenter Ben Thompson (who is openly gay) tweeted his views on an edition of Question Time last week in which an audience member discussed the recent muslim/gay prosests in Birmingham.

The presenter was told off by BBC managers for tweeting his views on the subject and an email was sent to BBC staff telling them to stop criticising the BBC on twitter or posting polictical opinions, the email did not specify LBGT.

The BBC really do want to be a closed door community they don't like their views aired in public which is ironic really when their journalists do it and they love telling everyone on their news webpage about some inane BBC presenter's recent personal stories.

It's good advice to some as if you are slightly to the right of Karl Marx and found to be working for the BBC you'll be either fired or find your career stalled. In your case the BBC is in a quandary as they ceaselessly promote LGBT stuff and at the same time suck up to islam. As you have seen, these two conflict with each other so the anti-BBC have found themselves in a predicament and rather than be seen to favour one over the other simply bury their heads and hope it will go away.

Therein lies the fundamental flaw in political correctness - sooner or later two or more of the minorities chosen for favourable news will have disputes which then has the politicos wringing their hands.

I bet the BBC won't send a representative onto Newswatch to discuss this, if you ever see Newswatch it's hilarious how the BBC News managers refuse to take part in any discussion which might be slightly snowflaky or controversial and will generally issue a standard statement of BBC policy.

I've been giving this a lot of thought and would now like to nominate you as the CM spokesman for LGBT issues, you can have a specially made rainbow pattern waistcoat to wear, and an image of a foil hatted unicorn for your profile :D
What are these 'gender' issues they so urgently need to educate young children about, will the issues ever be resolved  and why can't british children just be left to enjoy childhood and deal with the 'older' stuff later on
