So I have unashamedly been taking advantage of free play promos at a local casino question is the 5 10 or 20 dollar machines.........Do they have a higher payout percentage than the nickel and quarter slots? I get free play every time I go so wondering if I got a better chance throwing my 10 dollar free chip in for a single spin or should i stick with the nickel slots?
Oh and I get free play for my B-Day all day so if you have any tips on that let me know please. Thanks in advance.

where you getting the free play all day for your B-Day i'm missing out. I used to get a free tournament and a nice dinner when I was a platinum player at Rama but since I started having kids I make it there 2 or 3 times a year.

If you're concerned purely with getting the most out of the free bucks, I definitely think wagering it all at once is the best choice. Like Nifty said, it's not uncommon for higher-limit machines to give out a better return. In addition, it's just the nature of variance that you get a higher return by going big.

This, of course, assumes that once you've wagered it, you'll leave the casino immediately.

If you're planning on spending some more time betting after the fact, I'd say you'd probably end up spending less if you stick with machines with limits that are normal for you. It's better to spend all day wagering that $10 free chip on the penny slots than wagering it all at once, busting, and then losing another of your own $10 to occupy yourself.

Seeing Ontario on your profile I am assuming Ontario Canada, if so I can only speak for Manitoba and BC, the payouts are different, Quarters were set at 92% based on max bet based on 10 million spins as opposed to 90% for nickels and pennies, sorry no info on dollars but one can only assume.

thanks guy's...........guess I'll go ALL IN and see what happens surely outta a bi-weekly visit I'll have to hit on 1 free chip at a 5 or 10 dollar slot.

I had forgotten just how much information is on the Wizards site- my original "bible" for VP strategy but lots of other useful info to.

I usually use half to three quarters of my comp dollars when I go to the casino on the $5 slots. Once I catch a good hit, I get up and move to the dollar machines. This has worked for many years for me.

The last time I went, I had $150 in comp dollars , took the $100, used it in the $5 machine and caught the triple bars for a little over $400 (one coin, no multiplier) and took it to the dollar machine.

Played and stayed two nights on their dime and then used my winnings the next day and caught the $1000 blue 7's with a multiplier on the dollar machine (two coin this time).

For some reason , going to the $5 machines in the beginning has aually given me something right off the bat that allowed me to play all night and sometimes into the next day.

Good luck on whatrever you try...

I'm intrigued about all this comp stuff at US casinos as we don't have anything even approaching it over here.

What kind of action or timeframe is required to rack up that kind of comp?

I've heard of free rooms and meals etc as well which sounds awesome.

How does it all work?

I just returned from Las Vegas. I had a $200 free play and I usually max play $1.00 $5/SPIN on 10/7 DBLE BONUS VP. Worked out great got 4 aces twice and cashed out 1200, Made the rest of my 3 day trip relaxing
Every 2 months I get this deal. Has worked 3 out of 4 times so far.

Locally here also, any freeplay I get I play machine video poker Never can tell 1 you might hit the Royal. Got a $7.00 free play once so played quarters here and hit a dealt royal for a grand...So with any free money go for it u8nless you wnat to have fun and nickel dime it tio death

Nifty,

My casino of choice is Seneca Allegany casino in Salamanca New York. Beautiful Vegas style casino, GREAT comps, and 3 great places to eat. I go there and stay over night about once a month. Every time I go, as long as it's a new week I get the following, and I take $1000 everytime I go,,,,

- $175 in FREE play on my card ( I am a chairmens club gold card member)
- FREE corner king suite, 2 room suite with jacuzzi next to the bed
- FREE meals anytime I want along with 3 guests
- FREE drinks in the Chairmens lounge. I do not have to be playing a machine to get drinks, its a nice little lounge to go relax in and have a few snacks and drinks or watch some sports on the big screens.
- Free cakes, pies, fudge, whatever I choose on my way out. I always have about $500 in food/drink money to use if I choose but I go so frequently it keeps building up
- FREE massages in the spa, access to pool, etc etc
- Took my dad few months ago and they gave him a suite and had a birthday cake in the room on a silver platter waiting for him with balloons.

Why go anywhere else? lol:thumbsup:

I wouldnt if I didnt win, believe me. Another thing is Ohio does not have casinos yet, all the surrounding states do, Ohio is a joke. They finally passed the bill recently and now look like a horses ass for being the last state around us to do so. I do enjoy the drive though, its 2.5 hours and its a BEAUTIFUL quiet drive especially once you hit the Indian Reservation, very scenic.

The drive is what stops me from visiting them more often. It is anywhere from 2 1/2 hrs to the closest to 4 hours to my favorite.

Yours is not quite the only state, same here, no gambling at all except the lottery in this state.

.

Silc, I know Ohio isn't the only state, I meant its the only state around ME that doesn have gambling. PA, NY, WVA, KY and IN all have casinos.

Ahhh gotcha! But then again, it sure does feel like you are one of the last places left that hasn't seen the light...just as ours is.

We have been having a huge debate on one of our waterfront fiascos that has turned into a dump and the city wants to make it a fish/vegatable bazaar..I mean...hello? This is where all the large boats and yachts park their boats...70% of the people in the state wants casinos on our beach front/waterfront. But, sadly, it is still a no go...they are choosing this site to make it like a flea market style place...geezes...a multimillion/billion dollar space...

And your state is ? ............

Personbling , I think the ONLY reason why the other states dont have gambling as yet is that the right politicans have not been offered enough monies by the intended casinos.

IT IS THE ONLY REASON.......Bunch of crooks I am from Miami so I may be biased but I doubt it

We go to Laughlin,NV a lot and are always getting free food, rooms, free play, etc. The place that was interesting though is called The Island View in Gulfport,MS. We went through there about two weeks ago and there was a billboard that said they would double any other casinos' freeplay coupon. Well, I never go anywhere without the tons of casino coupons we get and I pulled out two from the Hardrock in Tampa (one for my husband and one for myself that were $60 each). We walked in, signed up for a players card and in less than 10 minutes we each had $120 in free play on the cards. Played...won some and left. Very nice place by the way...we will go back:thumbsup::D

Dang! And when you left the casino your were not pulled over by a police car, dragged back to the casino and accused of not playing within the Spirit Of The Promotion?;)

I wish we had such landbased casinos here!

Nice thing about the free play coupons is once you met the wagering requirements. (Normally just once through and you keep what you win) Your allowed to cashout. It used to be alot of casinos gave cash out, but they stopped doing that once they realized alot of people were walking and not even attempting to play the free play coupons. So thats why they went with the 1x wagering requirement.
As for comps, my experience varies from casino to casino. Some like a local casino Jumers gives our free meals, buffets, and rooms to me like it going out of style. Compared to like Harrahs where I get little to nothing from them.
I"m also sure as for like the Netherlands it just varies on how the gaming laws are written too. Some places I've noticed just aren't allowed to give away freebies. To discourage problems gamblers from going over there head. Not saying it doesn't happen anyways but some see it as a deterrent.

LOL

Or accused of having a Duplicate Account at a Sister B&M?
Or having irregular playing patterns?
Or Playing an Excluded Game
Or Doing a Chargeback at a Competitor
Or Having your Max bet lowered by the Authorities...
Or winnings confiscated because your wife also has an account
Or....
