Hi everyone! I have been away for quite awhile. No online playing for me since I live in the US, I have been banished to the ol' B&M's...and ya know ...it's been a blast! So I thought that we might have some fun hearing about the wins and yes some losses at our hometown casinos and maybe when we get lucky enough to go to Vegas or AC find out what's new out there. Anyone interested enough to share??

I've had a string of wins while card-counting at one particular low-roller local casino. Now, when I show up, the pit bosses bemoan the effect they think I'm going to have on their numbers for the day.

I'm enjoying it all very much until they 86 me. :)

But hey... locally the trend of serving food at the tables/slots is becoming more common, and I know the El Cortez at least has started doing it in Vegas. Is it becoming more common at your local haunts?

San Diago seems a bit more progressive than where I live, I am in the heartland, Oklahoma. We only have Indian casinos and food at the tables?? I have only seen that when I met a whale out in Vegas and sat at the $500 slots with him. Yeah they put up the velvet ropes around him and a chef came out pushing a white tableclothed cart to serve him an egg salad sandwhich!!! Damnest thing I have EVER seen!

tunica

hit sams town for the kansas concert. hollywood lost my reservation and hit the dollar slots for about four grand. been playing 2.25 spins at mg casinos for over a year and cant come close to winning anything over a few hundred bucks but can hit a dollar slot in tunica for sixteen hundred in a couple of hours. mg (random my ass)

b & m = bad mistake

the only b & m's that i have been to is 1 indian casino that i went to 3 times and every single time i lost every penny i took...then on my anniversary we went to reno where i once again lost it all and then with the hidden atm card i lost some more before we left...the only other time was at harrahs in laughlin and i started there on a borrowed $60 and left with like $500...not bad that time and at all of them i at least had a good time cuz thats what it is all about:thumbsup:

Few weeks ago a coworker went to Vegas for a friend's bachelor party. On the first night, he and a friend went teamsies on a $5 slot, and won $25k. Unfortunatley, (or fortunately), it was the first night of the bachelor party weekend, so they ended up paying for most of the entourage over the weekend. My coworker said he managed to keep a few grand of his share.

Easy come easy go Rhino! :) At least you got some enjoyment out of it (and you can always hold it over your friends how much you paid for).
I have 2 top line pays that come to mind..my first was almost disappointing as I had just started the evening playing 20c a line on Cleo and hit 5 of her for $200. Had I been up a few bucks I probably would have multiplied that win by 4 or 5.
My other was a couple months ago. Slots had been stone cold - until I started playing All That Glitters. Played for a while at about even until I hit a winning line with 4 Jackpots on it. When the Winning Line Gems disappeared another Jackpot dropped and lined up for $1250. Sweet!

My wife and I had a couple of good runs at a local casino (Indian Variety - WI). I was playing a machine by WMS Gaming called Powerball. It is a TON of fun - wish there were anything remotely like it online... Anyway - I hit the bonus, which allows you to hit one row, two rows, or all three rows (3 columns) worth of progressive jackpots. I hit the top 2 rows and came out with $2500 on a $1 bet.

I've never come CLOSE to that online :)

In the meantime, she was playing the 3-reel Wheel of Fortunes, hit a 5 times pay (2 of them on the same line as something else, can't remember) and won an even $2000 off a $3 bet.

It was a fun night! They aren't all like that. However, if we go - we only take out $200 ($100 / person) and if either of us wins - we split it immediately.

That was fun! More stories please! :)

I'm jealous :( I wish we had decent B&M's like you guys. Can't wait to go to Macau later this year. Staying at the new Venetian ironically enough :D

I'm in the middle of nowhere too..IA..and we have our trusty Indian Casino that we have donated too mostly the last year..we've won in the past but have gotten killed lately! So, last Wednesday just for fun we went to the new local casino that just opened up about a month ago here in town. I really don't like it because it doesn't have much variety but it's a stone's throw from our house so off we went. My husband and I each had $100. He plays quarters, I play penny machines but at $1.25 a spin. My two favorite happened to be lucky. On one I played maybe 5-10 minutes got into the bonus and hit $600 so I cashed out $700 total. Went to the next one, stuck in $20, cashed out $300 and a little later went to another one I like (Anthony & Cleopatra), stuck in $20 and hit 5 Sphinxes for the bonus and ended up cashing out $300 in 5 minutes! My best overall return in a VERY long time. I took the money and went home!!! (My husband found out later:p)

My best win was about a year ago... we have a B&M casino about 15 minutes away - good, and not so good - gamblers understand, lol. We had just gotten there and I threw in $20 into a triple pay machine.. within 3 spins I hit 2 triple pay symbols and a blue 7. $675 - not a bad return on the whole $3 I might have spent. That day I continued winning at nearly everything I sat down at and walked out with over $900. Was an awesome day!

I love Powerball

That is my favorite B&M game of all time. Ive won a couple of times on it. At the Trop it is $1 and at Harrahs it's 25 cent machines. The very first time I played at the trop, I put in a $2 max spin and hit for $90 and 2 spins later I got the powerball bonus spin and hit for another $260. I went over to wheel fortune and hit for 1000 on the wheel, went to triple sevens and hit for $125, and went to the tables and played let it ride and hit a full house for another $325!!

We left the house with $700, stayed 2 nights, ate meals, went shopping, gambled the whole time and came back with $800!!! Great Trip

Second Story: Vegas

Stayed at Excalibur (not my favorite hotel) for 3 nights. When I travel out of state, I dont bring more than $20 because I traveled alone. When I arrived I took out $100 and lost it my first night. I woke up at 6am the second day and hit for $1000 on the wheel of fortune,(cashed out) went over to a $5 slot (because I was feeling like a bigwig lol) put in a $20 to play 4 one credit spins. On the second spin, I hit for $225 (cashed out) . Went over to the boardwalk casino and hit for another $125. Went to let it ride, got a straight. Got to the airport on the 4th day, got the bonus spin 3 times in 5 minutes for a total of about $120 (almost missed my flight)

Left the house with $20, came home a week later (spent 4 days in Austin for a wedding after Vegas) with $1300.00. I dont know how much I won but I vacationed in Vegas for 4 days (including a helicopter ride and expensive dinners at the Bellagio and Monte Carlo), went to Austin for my neice's wedding (gave her $100) plus all other expenses like taxis, entertainment, cigarettes etc..

I cant wait, two weeks from this past Sunday I will be at the Trop for 3 days!!

i hit1600.00 at sams town in tunica myself:D i love tunica :D

Ah i think I played that one recently in London on the IGT stand at ICE. Is it the one where they line up, pay, then the symbols drop out and the ones above slide down (bit like Gems?). If so...very entertaining...and possibly one that Wagerworks will have in the future as it was they who asked me to test it and give an opinion.

That's the one

It has a bonus round that is very hard to get to but pays nicely. Overall I'm up on the machine/game about $1500 as I hit a 2nd top pay in Reno last year for $500 ($2/spin). The game chugs along nicely and I've beaten it both times I've played it which always goes a long way to making it a favorite to play.

A nice comeback story...

I went to the Borgata in AC earlier this week...I was down ~$600, and had $50 left. I stuck it all on one hand of BJ. The dealer dealt me a 13. Nice. :p Hit to 21, and went from there.

I ended up getting back up to $500, decided to cut my losses, and left. :D

Also,

Has anyone seen the 100 LINE slots? These are quite interesting. They have 5 reels, 4 of which are 4 lines and the middle reel only has 3 lines. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the slot. Does this ring a bell for anyone? ;)

OMG

A 100 line slot?? What was the minimum and maximum? Borgata is known for this kind of stuff. They attract all of the stars like the Palms does in Vegas. Joe Pantelioni (ralphy from the Sopranos) is always there

This guy said to him "hey, your ralphy" and Joe said "tell me what my real name is and Ill give you $2000.00. I wish he asked me that question LOL

I would also love to know about that 100 line slot. I am enjoying Wolf Run...I hear those wolves crying in my sleep. They usually kick my ass but I am addicted. I used to only play VP, but the Indian casinos make it tough to win. So now I play slots. The best I've done is to get a $565 bonus round playing $1.20, it's a 40 line slot.

Covering all lines, the range is from $1 to $50 a spin

Needless to say, I was low-rolling at $1 ;)

There's another multi-'line' style out there that uses 'ways' to win rather than actual lines. I can't find them on the google. I could never remember the pay table, just have to trust the machine. Lot of fun.

One of my favorites is IGT's Carnival of Mystery -- 243 'ways'. There's is another... Aztec Temple... Never ever won a penny off the Aztec one (no matter the casino). Carnival though.... it's a favorite and has saved my butt from going broke before dinner time (due to playing VP... pfffft!) many times.

Yeah, that one... the 3 dancing puppets bonus and the orbs... it can pay out heavily :D I've seen probably half a dozen others, just can't picture them right now.
