Just wondering what, if any, discussions took place with Grand Prive and whether they were productive?

From what I heard GP guys cancelled at the last minute and stated that if talks are going to happen CAP management needs to fly to SA to discuss the mess. That is all I know and I myself plan to keep making sure the public is informed of this cheating company!

Hey Meister maybe you can fly to kick them around a bit :)

Given that they are now saving between 20% and 30% that would otherwise go to affiliates (and rightly so under the contracts), they may be considering throwing this amount directly at their remaining player base, giving them an unfair advantage over other casino groups that have a player base gained through affiliates.

They have already started, I just got a copy of the Grand Prive magazine - but I am not eligible having plummeted right down to RED tier. It announces the launch of a new super giveaway promotion, and in true "casino rewards style" tells me that if I deposit just a few times I will advance to Jack & get weekly bonuses.
:lolup::lolup:

What a crock of .....

I was KING tier for over a year, and received ONE "weekly bonus" in all that time, and THIS is why I am now at RED:D

Clearly, the 5 casinos are STILL open for business, exposing yet another lie given to affiliates that the 5 would close (thus justifying the closure of affiliate contracts at the end of November) with all non-US players moved to Villa Fortuna.

So - it's WORSE than it seemed at first, affiliates are CLEARLY being screwed each and every month the 5 main casinos continue to take deposits and wagers from players they referred there.

It seems that Grand Prive have also "done an RTG" and cancelled their appearance in London, so they must know they are in for a hard time.

Where is MICROGAMING in all this? THEY are allowing one of their licencees to renege on business agreements, and THEY have the power to make Grand Prive come to the table, after all, they demonstrated the degree of this power against TUSK, so we KNOW what MGS could do, and WOULD do if it were they who lost out were Grand Prive to unilaterally rewrite their contract for supply of the software.

They could of course be taken to court in S.A, and have even thrown down the challenge. They must be relying on no-one ever taking this up, and the issue quickly dying away as most players will notice no difference, even those who joined through affiliates who are now getting screwed.

Actually they had it in their T&Cs for affiliates (
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
) so I dont see why MG would or could do anything.
Players are "robbed" by FU clauses all the time why wouldnt affiliates be? Tough luck I would say.

And shouldnt they just get a warning instead of being rogued?
A quote from maxds warning about Golden Lounge:

"Any single one of these incidents is probably not sufficient grounds to issue this Warning but when you put them together it adds up to this: Golden Lounge players are at the mercy of a hostile casino management. From what I've seen they'll use anything they can to deny winnings and lock players out. Deposits are usually confiscated, per those aforementioned Terms and Conditions of course.

At this point it is unlikely that Golden Lounge will be inducted into the Rogue Pit because most of their actions can be 'justified' under the umbrella of those T&Cs of theirs. Nevertheless it is my firm belief that players depositing at Golden Lounge are putting both their money and their trust in jeopardy."

I just got mine too today and was reduced to the lowest level of player...
.

That is my point, we are NOT ENTITLED to the magazine at this level - the reason players are getting sent them is in order to include a "we miss you" letter, and a peek at what we are going to miss in a couple of months.

Unlike last time, there was no free 100, and I was fed a crock of sh1te that I could deposit, get my level up a bit, and get weekly offers. I DIDN'T GET weekly offers when I was KING level, and now they are trying to convince me that I will if I work up to JACK level. They will have to do better, alot better in fact, since Monday/Tuesday I uninstalled all 5 Grand Privvy casinos during a general clean-up aimed at reinstalling MGS right from scratch to see if I can improve on the permanently "broken" software that may be a result of all the updates on top of old installations.

They do indeed have an affiliate "F U Clause", however I noticed two other things. The scheme was advertised as being "in partnership with Microgaming" - so this puts MGS in the frame; secondly, there is a term that allows either party to take a dispute to arbitration, although unfortunately this is governed by the laws of Curaco.

Roguedom is justified, since they screwed EVERY affiliate with a blanket application of the "FU Clause", whereas Golden Lounge did the usual thing of screwing a relatively small proportion of the total with theirs. Roguedom also serves to keep the Grand Prive incident as a topic for discussion, and in future, affiliate bodies can be stricter about allowing such terms to exist now that it has been shown that less scrupulous groups will misuse the spirit of such terms to line their own pockets.
It would be a different matter had the casinos actually closed, and the players put on the market for affiliates to attract. Grand Prive is going to have trouble with any new affiliate scheme it tries, although it seems that at present they are trying to do it without affiliates. If this is so, then non-US players on their database should expect further "come back" offers, as well as some "refer a friend" promotions. There is likely to be an increase in GP spam through direct emailing companies, such as Net Atlantic, and these will have the tag missing, or set to the MG default affiliate (stored in the casino's main registry key as data in value name "cookie").

Point is they screwed their affiliate partners in business what makes you think they will not do the same to players? Who in their right mind would want to play at a casino that would potential refuse to pay them a jackpot win on some trumped of FU Claus they decide to toss your way?

Why would they? If its in their T&Cs then its considered ok.

And actually they never used a FU clause. Its quite clear in the agreement and if you sign it you accept the terms.

I by now means like Grand Prive, actually they have been in my personal Rogue pit since 2006. Its just funny (or sad) that when the T&Cs are used to stiff affiliates everyone is crying out loud but when players are in the same position the phrase "you accepted the terms, tough luck" is used.

So no, I have no symphaty for the affiliates in this case (especially as we are talking bout Grand Prive here, you should have known better). Do your due diligence better next time.

Just to ensure there is no misunderstanding here, Grand Prive was thrown into the rogue pit for bad casino practice. I was not - nor ever have been - an affiliate of Grand Prive, nor has GP ever purchased ad space at Casinomeister. I just wanted to make sure everyone understands that this is not a case of having some sort of $$ vendetta :p

Also, there are a number of affiliates who have been outspoken about the GP fiasco, and were not affiliates of theirs either.

I agree that it was wrong what they did and they deserve roguing. And I also remember back in 2006 you were one of the few who did something. Most of the affiliates didnt give a rats ass about it and now it backfired. Irony at its best.

And looking at some of the sites who blacklisted Grand Prive I dont know if I should laugh or cry looking at the outfits they promote.

I must quote this again. Players are getting screwed all the time. Since when has that stopped affiliates to promote them (insert any rogue or shady casino here)? And looking at one of your sites, change the affiliate to player and vice versa, and you will see that you are contradicting yourself.

And I dont have an agenda against affiliates, only against unethical business practice.

If an outfit decides to go rogue, it doesn't matter which sequence of events it chooses, it's rogue.

Usually the place will choose to stiff players first, and keep paying affiliates so they can still get new players.

In this case, the place decided that a substantial amount of money could be saved by not paying affiliates for services performed. Plus Microgaming does not accept new players, so affiliates are now useless to them. They can stay afloat longer if they steal the monies owed to affiliates and pay them to players.

One way or another, what goes around, comes around. Like I said before, next thing they will likely stiff the cleaning lady.

The more affiliates realize that they are there to serve the player first and foremost - by providing info that saves the player research time - the better all of us will do.

The more players realize that their clicks are votes and clicking on helpful sites keeps these alive, and refusing to click on bad ones will put these out of business, the better all of us will do.

Rogue is rogue is rogue, and unfortunately most rogue places will target players first and affiliates second. Affiliates who don't keep up with player issues do get to taste the consequences, because rogue outfits soon enough quit paying affiliates also.

In this case affiliates got scammed first for a change, and just like affiliates need to heed player warnings, players need to heed affiliate warnings. It's only smart.

In the end we are in the same boat and rogues affect both groups equally. It's just a matter of who gets scammed first, if one gets scammed, the other is soon to follow.

When Grand Prive exhausts the stolen money, then what do you think will happen?

If we only all learned to listen to each other, together we are strong and can excert pressure, and together we have the information to keep all of us safe from scammers.

Cooperation now between players and affiliates is far from perfect, but intentional non-cooperation only makes it worse for both parties.

The more we cooperate, the better all of us will fare and the less rogue outfits will get away with murder.

A good post and I agree, except for the bolded part. 2006 and 20k, ok it was in their T&Cs (and a completely different case). But clearly showed their true colour.

But the thing that really makes me laugh is the sudden concern for players.

Got a $100 voucher too...here's the fallout!

Oh Lawd, this casino group NEVER ceases to amaze me. They sure "worked on my nerves" today. Here's the chat. Sorry it's so long but I just wanted my family and friends on here to have a good laugh while I go smoke a pack of cigarettes during lunch tryin' to cool myself down.

Al: Hello and welcome to our Live Chat service. We need to verify your details for safety and security reasons before we proceed.

Al: Kindly provide your full names, complete home address (for cashins), full phone number, date of birth and your registered email address.

Bayleesprings: i have not made any deposits in a long time because grand prive casinos are considered rogue at casinomeister.com. i have since uninstalled them from my computer. i just got the magazine with a $100 voucher number in the mail today and can not find a place to redeem it in flash mode. last year when i got one and had not removed the software yet, i knew where to claim the voucher. i have attempted to reinstall the software but it fails every time. i guess this is because i live in the US. could you please manually redeem my voucher or was this not supposed to be sent to the US players?

Bayleesprings: i am at KING TIER and the voucher number is 790319008312

Bayleesprings: what other information do you need from the voucher?

Al: please hold bayleesprings...

Bayleesprings: no problem. thanks Al :)

Al: are you able to login to the casino bayleesprings... i just want to make shure i understand you correctly ?

Bayleesprings: i can log into flash mode but can not download the "real" version of the casino. the one that has all the NEW games. the download acts like it will start and then says it failed, please contact customer support.

Al: ok bayleesprings.. the voucher has already been claimed so i will not be crediting you .......

Bayleesprings: since the flash mode doesn't have to be downloaded, i guess that's how i can still log in

Al: and in which state do you stay bayleesprings?

Bayleesprings: the voucher has already been claimed?

Al: yes

Bayleesprings: that's impossible, i just walked in from getting it out of the mailbox. let me check the number again, maybe i made a mistake. it's 790319008312

Bayleesprings: ok, that one matches the same one i gave you earlier. is it possible that i have been given the same number as somebody else

Al: it shows that it was redeemed earlier today... and no... each number is unique to each player

Bayleesprings: i am telling you, i just walked in 10 mins ago from the mail box. i have not been into the casino to play IN MONTHS. wow, this is a good way to keep yourself in the rogue pit. this has to be some sort of JOKE

Al: im afraid not bayleesprings... now... is there anything else i can assist you with?

Bayleesprings: i would like you to credit me the $100 that you guys sent in the mail. if you weren't going to honor the promo, why spend the money to mail it to me?

Al: im afraid the voucher has already been claimed bayleesprings... is there anything else i can assist you with?

Bayleesprings: i will be posting this chat on casinomeister.com in a few mins so that everyone knows that grand prive HAS NOT changed their ways, as if anyone has been living under a rock in the last few months. the voucher may have been claimed but it was not by me.

Bayleesprings: could you forward me to someone in management? i have not been into a grand prive casino in months, then i walk in with my voucher number and find out that it's already been used. you're not even TRYING to help me. how do you know that i hadn't planned on making a $500 deposit today? you guys are ruthless. i've NEVER seen such mess with the other casinos i play at. ROGUE

Al: it has been a pleasure assisting you. Good Day

That was the end of it. I was like, "Oh, hell naw...this MOFO just ended the chat on me!" Some things NEVER change...

But the thing that really makes me laugh is the sudden concern for players.

It's hardly sudden. I've been preaching this for years!
