Like many here, I play most of the time online, and only occassionally at a land based casino or two. I wonder if any of you have this same issue that I have when I do play at the land based casino. Impatience!

After I arrive and start playing at a table, I find it goes SO slow and then I have to wait for a shuffle  Its like getting off the highway and driving on the backroads after a long trip, its hard to not speed along like you were on the highway. Takes a little time to adjust to the new pace. Particularly if you like to play poker and they have to shuffle after every freakin' hand! ;)

Anyone else experience this impatience? Just curious.

I bet that you are not the only one. Once you have played fast software like RTG, naturally a real table game of BJ seems slow.

Right on the money jpm, only reason I go to land casino is to play blackjack and have my winnings instantly, I'm well known around the local casinos here so if i want my own table so i can play fast, they do it.

Sometimes its fun playing with others.. i'll have a $400 bet.. hit a 16 versus a 17 .. and they'll surrender their $2 bet in the same circumstance.. or not hit anything about 12.. sometimes it helps me win, othertimes not. When a table has a good vibe i'll stick with it no matter how stupid others play.

I love let em ride & video poker online, but they drive me nuts in land based, let em ride is so slow, video poker is 1 line and the machine takes like a minute each win, and has the crappiest betting limits, $1 max ... and thats with 20 coins, each coin 25 colones which is 5 cents US.

One question for whoever is browsing.. right now in one place on that 5 cent machine, they have a progressive jackpot when you play 20 coins ( $1 ) .. when you hit the royal you get 1.2 million colones $2790 .. does the player have the advantage? I think its an 8/5 JOB.

At first blush, I'd think you would have a bit of an advantage, since an equivalent jackpot would be about $800 if it were a typical 4000 coin payout.

I love let it ride too, but it is SO slow at the casino. I suppose that can be a good thing though, since the typical minimum is so much higher than online. And I almost NEVER play vp in a casino, even though that is my main game. Seems pointless to me, since I can play that at home anytime. I like the landbased casino for the ambiance and variety of games, but the thought of playing vp there holds no appeal.

JPM, Take it easy old timer. Enjoy the atmosphere at the real casino. HEHE! You been on this damn computer so long. You forgot about the real world

For 8/5 JoB with royal flush that pay $2790 for every dollar bet, that would return a whoopy 103.3%!
Are you sure the amount of jackpot is correct? Are you sure it's random and fair? You don't have to pay tax for it right?
If the answers to all the above questions are yes, you should:
(1) Grab the best strategy from the net.
(2) Carry at least a few thousand $$ to the casino.
(3) Rush to the casino and play nonstop until the jackpot is gone.
For a fair game, this kinda of jackpot rarely last more than a few hours.

The jackpot has been there forever, its connected to about 10 machines.. most usually empty unless the casino is packed. To win the jackpot you play 20 coins, each coin is 25 colones .. 20 coins is 500 colones .. which is $1.13.

The jackpot is 1.2 million colones or $2,739 in dollars, i was using an old exchange rate in the post before.

You don't have to do anything regards to taxes here for these winnings.

I would assume the machines are fair, and actually they are Tens or Better.. how much of a difference does that make?

I tried for a little bit but the machines are slowww.. got bored. and went over to the blackjack table and made $1,000 in ten minutes.. after that went to 3 card tute, got three sevens on max table bet.. then over to let em ride, first hand a trio.. hehe fun.

Making that game 10's or better does change the odds in your favor. By my calculations, that makes it a 106.3% game now. Sweet!
