It makes impossible to get in a good rythm with the mouse clicks when playing the game.
I got to play a few of these games and it is really irritating to have the scatter/bonus symbols animating when there is no hit and it takes away from the quick spin one likes to do just as gerilege said...one likes to get into a rhythm when one is spinning and it takes 2-3 extra clicks on the spin button to get it going again (each and every time after the previous spin).

This is due to the non winning animations that are just irritating...having the non winning animations (not the symbol) not animate would be a benefit to the casino cause many of us just like to pace ourselves and think of all those clicks we are wasting without spending a dime trying to get it going again...thats a lot of money lost on the casinos end ..:D

Yes, I was wondering where you would be in this discussion... Thanks for telling why.
vinylweatherman, you following this?

I am now.

The big danger here is changing the existing slots to make them better for players. This should be made clear with each new version that is released, so that players who have not seen this thread understand that the games are being changed for improvement, and not for any underhand purposes.

US being excluded. Having a TINY flag with a line through it is not really good enough, UNLESS the registration process is designed to block US players BEFORE they deposit real money, win, and then have their winnings confiscated because they didn't see a tiny flag with a line through it.

I am sure other countries are excluded, so it would be best to design a registration process that blocks registration from these countries from the outset, rather than having operators using such mis-registrations as cause to void winnings. Similarly, if several currencies are supported, have a means of preventing players from selecting a currency that their specific region is banned from using (this is usually the UK Pound that suffers exclusion).

Before parting with money, players need to know how they can be paid, so if an option used for deposits is NOT an option for withdrawals, say so!

As for the slots, 2 - 10 free spins and no multipliers or wilds would certainly have me rushing to watch my grass grow:D

Thought should also be given as to the promotions that will be offered to players, the software should be able to handle them. If wagering tournaments are going to be offered, the software should make it easy for a live scoreboard to be generated.

For players - transaction and gaming history. Option to download the numbers as comma separated text at least. Some players like to examine their overall play, put it into spreadsheets etc. With other softwares, this is such a PAIN!!
Reports of past overall game payouts, preferrably independently audited.

For the casino - work towards becoming Casinomeister Accredited.

Casino rep - Participating in the forum - already done, top marks:D

Yes, I am from the good ole USA and I did register a "play" account. Knowing better, I will not register a real account until they do away with the "NO USA" symbol. Hopefully they will allow us to play in fun mode until this changes down the road...

I can describe probably a bit more detailed what I meant. It's for all scatter&bonus symbols. The point is that those symbols are always animating, also in that case when the feature or bonus can't be awarded. I mean for the cars, they should only be animated one-by-one until the feature is possible. I mean if (NumOfRemainingReelsWithScatter>RequiredNumberOfAdditionalScatters). In the car case they should only animate on reel3 if there was a scater on reel2, and should only animate on reel4 if there was a scatter on the other two reels. It should never animate in case when you get a scatter but it's impossible to get the feature. The really confusing part is when you get a car on reel 4 only, but still it's animating or you get a scatter only on reel 5, and yet it's animating, you haven't won anything, but you can't spin. It makes impossible to get in a good rythm with the mouse clicks when playing the game.

Another suggestion, please make the scatters and the wilds a bit more easier identifiable. On some games I got scatters and wilds, and I only realized from the payout that I won something. It should be an exciting moment, hey, I got two scatters or two wilds on the first two reels, I might hit something big. On some games it's fine, but the wild on the Genie themed slot is a bit problematic imho.

And please fix the right-click bug, it's dangerous in real money play.

Before I have development start to make changes on this, I wanted to confirm it with everyone that its ok that we have symbols animate where either a win has occurred or where a win is possible as gerilege describes above.

We have some symbols that we call pre-animations where there is a tiny bit of gesturing, would you like to see these only occur where there is a chance of a win still gerilege?

There was another post where slycin mentioned that they would prefer that animations only occurred with an actual win.

If anyone has some more thoughts on this, that would be great.

Case1:Win on a payline(non-scatter)
I prefer only animations if there was an actual win involved with these symbols. Do not animate wild unless it substituted in a win-line.

Case2: Scatters triggering feature or still paying something.
For scatters I only want them animated if they triggered a feature or a win. With a win I think of the situation when hitting less scatters than
required for the feature, but where they still does pay. (typical 2 scatters, where 3 is need for the feature).

Case3: Scatter animation when still spinning
This is when you hit some scatters and still have a chance to hit the feature due to scatters on reels to come. Normally a sound is played or reels
move slower to increase excitement. I like this idea. However if they did not trigger feature or pay anything there should be no animation or anything
after last reel has stopped.

But more generally I do like the mechanic where scatters only appear on reel 2,3,4 and you need 3 scatters to start the feature. There is too many slots with this mechanic. Scatters on all 5 reels is the more common and prefered.

You're not the only one with this problem. It doesn't seem to be very common though. Did you check your firewall settings?

There's supposed to be an update next week sometime, maybe you should try again after the update if your firewall settings aren't causing the problem.

Just a thought.

Its hard to say what might be causing that issue.

I would suggest trying again and seeing what happened and if that didn't work try uninstalling and reinstalling again.

If its still not working can you pm me with a full error report including what OS you are on, what firewall if any, and exactly what you did prior to getting the error message and a quote of exactly what the error message was?

It seems like a very uncommon problem as many many people have used the software ok.

We do a lot of testing but its always hard to get to some very unusual configurations that might be causing the problem.

Only just noticed this thread.

Great to see a new platform on the block and great to read all the input regarding possible improvements/enhancements!

I'll give it a go at some point over the next few days and report back.

Wizardgaming: Thanks to Zoozie and everyone for the feedback on the animation issue.

I got to play for a while again and once again, the NON WINNING animations held up my clicking to spin. That is truly a pain. I got to liking a few of them but this would break me in playing at all.

I do not know of anybody else, but I like to sit there and zone out watching the screen clicking away...(in real mode too) but relaxing would be impossible with the spin button blacked out till the animation stops.

The bonus round takes a few minutes to load also due to the lenth of the animations...might want to reduce the animation time on this. All in all, I really do like a few of your games.. (but need more spin/bonus/wild/multipliers to hold interest longer).

Wanted to update everyone that we have come up with a fix for this bug.

If you have encountered this problem (where several players could install the software but it would not connect to the Gold Rock server to complete its loading) please follow these steps:

1) Click on the "Start" button.

2) Go to Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs

3) Select "Gold Rock Casino"

4) Click "Uninstall Gold Rock Casino"

5) Download and install the new latest version from:

Also, wanted to let everyone know that our new version is due out quite shortly now.

Just doing some final testing on it.

Will update everyone when it has come out.

Wizard Gaming is pleased to release version 3.0 of its software. Below is a list of features that will be the most interesting to our players.

1) Progressive slots make their debut - the first ones are Trust Fund Baby and Opulence

2) Re-worked the spin animations for all of our games

3) We have changed the way we do the symbol animations in our games based on the player feedback we have received here on Casinomeister. Removed all pre-animations except for Scatter symbols that could
lead to features such as bonus rounds or free spins.

4) Added animated "Scatter" and "Wild" text to all scatter and wild symbols

5) Improved many sound and music assets.

We will be releasing games with higher degrees of variance and additional free spin with wild multipliers in our next version.

I want to thank everyone here on the board again that has offered us suggestions.

We look forward to continuing to speak with our players about ways we can further improve our software in our next version and beyond.

As always, if you have any suggestions on this version or other things we can do, please let us know!

You can download our version 3.0 from:

I downloaded the software fine and received the $7 free chip. It went fast. I only got to play one game and it played ok. My questions are do you only offer slots or am I missing something? Second I emailed support and have yet to hear anything back about deposit options. It's been at least 5 days.:eek2:

For now, we are focused on slots.

Table games will come in the months ahead with future versions. They are definitely in our plans!

Will tell Gold Rock about your not hearing back to your email.
