I am totally amazed that on the casinomeisters approved casino list he has LASSETERS & AUSVEGAS being REGULATED by the AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT.
Being an Australian I know for a fact that the AUS GOV do not approve of on line gambling and have tried to make it illegal for us to play (without a lot of success). There are also many casinos including Lasseters and Ausvegas that will not allow Australian players to play at their casino because of the Aus Gov regulations. I would love to find out how they can be regulated by them when they totally dissaprove..

Although I'm not South Korean, they welcome others to come and gamble at their casinos here, JUST NOT the Korean people. They have (as far as I know) 2 major casinos (if not more) in Jeju-Do (Island) and Kangnung, but from what I'm told, Koreans are either prohibited or discouraged from playing at these places. Actually, I heard that any form of online gambling is illegal in South Korea, but I wonder if that rule only applies to the South Korean people and NOT the foreigners (fingers crossed).

Ausvegas and Lasseters Government Regulated

Just to clarify your thoughts. You are correct that you and other Australians cannot play on either Ausvegas or Lasseters (or any online gambling for that matter), however you are incorrect that due to this, Ausvegas and Lasseters are not Government Regulated. YES, we ARE regulated bu the Australian Northern Territory Government, in the same state where we have our physical property. If you have any queries you can follow links from Ausvegas or Lasseters and go to the Office of Gaming Regulation and they will confirm this for you. Alternatively you can make your way there directly.

It is good to see wayrem's concern because the Australian Government does take its regulation of gambling seriously and as a result it benefits our players who can be assured 100% of secure play and fair play.

Just a side note, Casinomeister is very thorough and I believe he would not endorse casino's that misrepresented themselves.

I may be guilty in causing some confusion here. On the "special bonus" page, I had written "Fully licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Government in Australia" but on the casino's page I had stated "Regulated by the Australian Government" which I guess could be misleading. I guess there might be a difference in "Australian Government" and "Government in Australia" Sorry - my mistake

There has just been an episode of "The Gadget Show" here in UK, which has said that it is not Japan, but South Korea that leads the world in gadgetry. With a piece on Robot Olympics that had 6 to 9 year olds building and PROGRAMMING robots from their laptops!! If they want to gamble online when they reach adulthood I don't think the authorities stand a chance of stopping it!
"Made in Korea" is no longer a term of abuse for a piece of electronic gadgetry. Even "Made in China" is beginning to be accepted as more than just "Cheap rubbish".

There has just been an episode of "The Gadget Show" here in UK, which has said that it is not Japan, but South Korea that leads the world in gadgetry.

I've been living here for 5 years now, and it always seems to be progressing at a rapid rate. There science, chemical, engineering is off the charts. Frankly, I knew nothing about South Korea prior to coming here, and I don't think too many people pay much attention to they (outside of Asia). Mark my words, they'll be categorized with Japan (their historical enemies) soon enough. Think LG, Samsung, and Hyundai (to name a few).


Sidenote: Actually, Japan is a GREAT place to visit (if you ever have a million dollars lying around).

Korea's education system is REALLY taxing and complex, and I don't think there's another country that can match the amount of time that their students put into studying (as theirs). Want "pushing-it-hard" (too hard IMHO), the high school students study 7 days a week, and basically are out of the house by 7:00 AM and come home AFTER midnight. During examination periods (like now), the students study at private institutes (academies) until 2:00 AM!!! Actually, I've heard 3:00 AM!!! And they wake-up at 6:30 AM!!! This doesn't apply to ALL students, but I think it would still be the majority of students. I was looking at a Middle-School #1 Math textbook the other day, and I was like... whaaaa?!! I used to think that Canadian Math was pretty good... whoops, my BIG ignorant mistake.

I still don't understand how these teenagers function on 3-5 hours sleep every day for 4-5 years. I know they're excellent at memorizing everything they learn, but I have my doubts if they can have any long-term memory about what they're learning if they aren't getting any REM sleep. Being a great student is one thing, not being able to answer what their favorite movies and music is the downside.

I'm constantly reminded that because there are too many excellent students here, that it's easier for Korean students to get into Universities like Yale, Oxford, and Stanford (to name a few) than it is to get into their #1 University (Seoul University). Reason being that they can only accept so many students there each year.

Oh well, I save the rest of this stuff for my memoirs.
