Hi Everyone

Just looking for a bit of quick advice please.

I've been playing at Jungle Spins for around 8 months or so now with no issues at all, always quick to payout and never bothered me for SOW....until last week when I got the dreaded SOW request.

I never give out my personal banking details etc so I always just politely close my account and move on. However, at the time of their SOW request I had four unpaid withdrawals of £266.00, £104.00, £85.00 and £90.00 making a total of £545.00 plus £3.36 left in the account making a total owed to me of £548.36.

They do have a UKGC licence so I assumed that if I close my account, under UKGC rules they must return any funds held by them to the player on account closeuer. Unless of course they suspect fowl play such as money laundering.

I am not a money launderer, just a regular player and my account activity and style of play should refelct that.

They hadn't replied to the two emails I sent them last week so I've just been on live chat and closed the account there. The customer services lady I 'chatted' with says she has now closed my account but I have to submit the SOW before they can release my winnings. I tried to explain to her that this is nonsense as my refusual to submit a SOW is the reason I have closed the account in the first place so why would I do one now?!

She says she is going to pass it on to the 'financial team' and they will email me.....I'll wait and see on that one......such a shame to have this experience after really enjoying my time there with no issues.

If I dont' get paid in say a week for arguments sake do you think I should open a PAB?

Any advice will be greatfully recevied

Many thanks

I can only see this brand belongs to Nektan Group of casinos - almost any of their brands is totally unfamiliar to me.

@Betreels Casino & Sports - are you also somehow related to them? Maybe you can help or share a contact maybe, if yes?

Just follow @Mr Wild 's advice from another thread and send the following (tweaked slightly)

I am not willing to declare any documents to you. I wish to terminate my account and have my funds paid out. If you feel you need to report me for any suspicious activity, please do that immediately. My funds are legitimate and I expect funds to be paid out within 5 days from your report to NCA.

Please note that I will report this to the UKGC, the NCA and follow your complaints process if my funds are not received within the next 14 days.

I can see a reason for SOW in cases,

But reading several of the threads surely under data protection act they should never be asking for things like Bank Statements of others that pay money into your accounts.

Do not think i will need to do a SOW as deposits are not huge and i stay away from foreign based casinos.

But could imagine if i did. Every month i get money paid into my bank from my boy for his keep money. Not a lot even tho he earns more than me lol. But still a regular payment. Also regularly transfer money to my partner and vice versa for many things.

No way would i ever ask my partner or boy to give bank statements and info to prove where the money they deposit into my account comes from. Even if i did would be no chance in hell they would give them.

Hi there,

I am surprised that Jungle Spins still says they are a Nektan site as Nektan liquidated in October 2019. Nektan dot com redirects to markortech dot com which is also a platform provider. Maybe Nektan was liquidated so that they could get away with keeping the money they took from operators and then launched a new business. Who knows?

Edit: removed the plug - wasn't necessary : )

Regards,
Jonathan

Think this is called “doing a Casumo”

The big problem with SoW is you can play at multiple casinos and when you're on a lucky streak you end up playing more and spreading winnings around so it can appear as if you have way more money than you really have when in reality you're still broke and only playing with excess winnings.

Last month I made a decent chunk from casinos, I started the month out with a £60 gambling budget and ended the month with £640 in the same pot, no extra money of mine was involved it was all from the same £60 seed money where as the casinos see every deposit as 'new' money but it's simply not.
