A long standing group of idiots operating several Rival casinos, who have a history of having INSANE bonuses, just opened a new casino...

... well they wouldn't want to surprise us by offering something vaguely sensible, now would they?

Let me just summarise that for you:
You have to wager FORTY-FIVE times the amount of your Deposit AND the Bonus on slots with an average RTP of 96%.
Assuming by some miracle, that you survive the WR - at the end they TAKE AWAY the amount of the bonus.
But that is not the end...
In order to cash-out you need to win 3 times the bonus...
BUT, if you get really lucky you can't keep more than 10 x the bonus.

Let me give you an example of what that means in $ terms:
You deposit $100 and get a $300 bonus - so you start with $400.
To cash-out you have to wager $18,000.
To cash-out you have to take your balance to at least $900.
That means you have to wager $18,000 and make $500 profit = an RTP of 102.78%.
Now 102.78% over say $500 of wagering is not that special - but over $18,000 of wagering....! :eek2:

This has to be one of the WORST bonuses I have EVER seen - and believe me, I have seen a LOT of CRAP in my time!

The sad part is an inexperienced newbie is going to see that offer and think it is great. :(

$18000 wagerging is only 1800 spins at $10, all it takes is one good free spin round on Scary Rich or a similar high variance slot early on. 102.78% RTP over 1800 spins happens all the time. Biggest issue is the max cashout but a max of $3000 isn't that bad to call the bonus crap even if it does cut into the value a lot.

And this is assessed on a starting balance of $18000 KK`s example was based on a starting balance of just $400 and gives only 40 spins on your deductions.

How do you see me assume a $18000 starting balance? Yes of course you will have quite a few times you bust out in 50 or so spins and you have lost $100 but it will also happen that you don't and end up with a reasonably big cashout. Will it happen once every 30 times you take the bonus? I have no idea, possibly not, and the max cashout is what makes the bonus weak, but wagering requirement barely matters as long as you adapt your bet size. Remember when you bust out early you avoid a lot of wagering requirements which is good for the player and bad for the casino.

I'm not saying everyone should rush ahead and do that, but from the casinos side, they have to assume a large number of people taking the bonus and that these people figure out how to play it to get the best value.

I think the most problematic part of this is most newbie gamblers will see this as a good deal as what noobs;

A) Work out the numbers

B) know such a place like casinomeister exists so they can i) Check if this is a legit offer ii) complain when they undoubtedly throw their money away (in other words they're just going to accept the inevitable)

You can defend a 1000x playthrough bonus of 50 quid by saying "just up your bet".Doesn't make it any more legit or attractive.

Sorry, but if it happened all the time they certainly wouldn't be offering this ludicrous bonus.

I have been online gaming just short of 1 year and it has never happened to me,as I have never been so stupid to entertain such a "bonus".

So you think I'm stupid for actually looking at the numbers instead of calling the bonus crap only based on the WR. If math makes me stupid I don't mind I guess. Just because you don't want use your brain to look at all the factors doesn't mean the casino can ignore it, there are a lot of people out there waiting for a casino to make a mistake in a promotion and clean them out. Why wouldn't a 1000x playthrough bonus be legit or attractive if the bonus % was high enough?

Important point here is that rival casinos often limit your bet size via the software to $3-5 per spin....and they don't tell you what the limits are beforehand either, just that your betsize may be decreased.

Could make a difference to zaps calculations and assessment, which seem pretty sound to me BTW.

Not to be a butt, but.......

This is not the greatest topic for someone who has quit gambling to view.......just saying. ;)

This thread also serves as good reminder for those who feel like they get suckered into these types of bonuses. I'm happy to be free of all this shit for about a month now.

You aren't being forced to read it ttm.

Honestly, you should stay away from here altogether. Even watching other people talk about gambling can be a bad thing.

He's segregated to the non-gambling sections. And this thread really should be in the Online casinos section (or similar).
