Well this is my first post at the Meister who I respect and enjoy his feedback on issues.

I am from Canada and a webmaster who has a question that may or may not upset some people.

Whats up with 888.com? I have some pretty damaging evidence that their business practices are illegal, immoral, and unethical. Its' no wonder they are one of the biggest online gambling sites

I am sure the Meister is aware of this already. I would like to do something about it and keep this thread going. Then i will further slow and easy release the information I have collected.

So whats up with 888.com? Jargon

I think it wise for the Meister to view. But anyways there are just some findings to get this ball rolling.

I have 10,000 links top ranking websites for serps all being redirected to 888.com . I find this highly unsual just scrapers maybe? but i believe there is more too it. I suspect, and this is only circumstantial, that these high ranking sites are being paid by 888.com to have there site redirect.

Also, my site has also been scraped click the link and whammo it goes straight to 888.com. There is alot more stuff as well.

I am thinking about taking some sort of action not sure what yet. But I find it interesting and disturbing.

Here is one of about 10,000 not dropping a full link

xwww.vitosfromsicily.com type this into yahoo and see what you find, take the x out

Jargon - are you involved in the iGAMI action against 888.com?

If not, you may want to look at the threads on iGAMI's allegations against 888.com over at WOL.

It's better to just cut to the chase. This forum isn't about feeding people bits of information to keep threads going, it's about solving problems. If you have information that needs to be addressed, please provide this. Please don't make implications that "immoral" or unethical pratices are being made without any substance. Thanks!

As for the site scraping, I know that it's been going on - but I haven't had the time to clearly focus on this. I would hope that an entity like CAP could hammer these guys on this if in fact that is what is happening.

It is a known fact regarding the mass site scraping carried out by affiliates of 888.com which CAP is well aware of. The best course of action is to highlight publically in the 888.com forum in CAP any 888 affilliate sites which conduct site scraping. That way 888.com are made aware of them and can then shut the affiliate account down.

Good post, Webzcas. I'm not into matters affiliate at all but this sounds like a practical course of action rather than merely posting about these allegations.

Okay I will cut through the chase. I plan on lauching a possible law suite and complaint to the london stock exchange where their stock is held. Also I have been in contact with the London Times into this matter.

I brought this issue here for feedback. I suspect 888.com is playing a unfair game, bribbing people to have their high ranking sites redirect to theirs example, is the one listed above.

Another suspension is they actively hire people to do the scraping for them. Case is point what the motivation behind the link I provided. I believe its connected to 888.com in a matter the goes against being a honest webmaster.

I personally as a webmaster have no affillation with 888.com at all and look what I find:

online gambling resource advice & reviews
The best site to learn more about casino gratuit.html. ... Copyright © 2005 Onlinegambling7.com Good Day! Welcome to ...Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) - 7k - Cached - More from this site - Save Block

This is not my site but is my domain. After poking around for other webmasters backlinks I found many which all link to 888.com.

A scraper I beleive would scrape to many gambling sites not just one, 888.com.

Anyway this was my purpose in posting this information. Because quite frankly I not the type of person to stand idely by watch shit like this happen.

Also from Alexa here are what players are saying about 888.com

FIXED!,
Fixed. Lulled into false sense of security via free play and then u pay up and dealers score 21, or 20 near enough every time. Basic strategy blackjack determines when a dealers face up card is low ie -5 the dealer is more than likely to bust. On 888.com, this rarely happens, just a bit of proof. Check it out, i think its a fixing site. How else can they offer 100% bonus on sign up?!
Worst Site - FIXED,
This is worse site for online gambler. I recommend not to try this site at all. They allure you first few times and once you hit a number, you will never win no matter how much you try. I tried hundreds of times.
Other clever thing they do, when you play in public areas and you are a high roller, they kick you out of public area and set your table as private table automatically.
I know online gambling is a bad news, but this casino is a WORSE NEWS. Try others, who at least pays from time to time. NOT THIS ONE. SUCKER

I need support, backup, what ever can be offered to help all of us out would be deeply appreciated.

I am also a CAP member and I am hammering hard but they do not respond to any allegations. I was just asked If I would prefer a personal phone call I provide the number to them 3 days ago.

The Meister sets a good example on how these things should be dealy with, that I respect. Jargon

This is the first I heard of this, thank you!!!

888.com's software is not fixed. It is fair and the payouts are subjected to independant audits. However that said, whilst they do not rip their players off, there are IMO better casinos around for players to choose from. Which allow the processing of your withdrawals in a matter of days, rather than having to wait around a week - which is the case at 888.com

Furthermore, as an eCOGRA accredited casino, if a player has a complaint with 888.com they should take the matter to eCOGRA.

There may be many aspects of 888.com that I personally do not like, hence I do not promote them on my own portal - but ripping off players is not in their make up.

Over time I have seen much Meister content scraped in the search engines, then disappear in due course.

Of course, scraper sites cannot match the original site in the se's and very rarely make much of a difference to the site traffic if any, but it is still annoying I guess.
