I'm a dealer at a Australian casino and we have 6/5 blackjack tables which are called "sports blackjack". The table minimums at our sports blackjacks are $5 / $10 / $15 with maximum per box $100 / $200 / $300 respectively .
All higher tables are 3/2 normal blackjack.
Now in a certain pit of $15 sports bj tables people seem to be a lot more than the minimum with it being quite normal to see people betting $100 consistently.
I don't understand why people do it. I tell them that there is 3/2 bj in another pit and so you wont be getting crap odds yet they don't listen.
Why do people do this?? I can understand why people who don't want to be bet a lot and having no choice but when you are dropping $50 + every hand why you get screwed over like that.
Of course i hear excuses like "its a lucky table so i cant leave!!" but some of those people are the ones that are frequent visitors.
