New Slot Announcement 3 New Megaways slots from Blueprint and SG/WMS

Battleship Direct Hit Megaways - well what did you expect when WMS got hold of the mechanic??
Wolf Legend - surely the most annoying free spins trigger ever?
Slots O'Gold - St*rb*rst on steroids and despite the simplicity possibly the best of a bad bunch.

Am I missing something here hasn't Battleship been out for about a year an previously reviewed by you Dunover or is this some kind of second version?
This is the official Megaways version and different AFAIK. I did indeed do a video the first time round.

Battleships and slots o gold have been out for a long time now. Not new. Mine from November last year.

Yes, there are a couple of things to be aware of - to cheaply use the Megaways license, developers are rehashing existing slots quite often, such as Blueprint with Irish Riches, Legacy of Ra, Genie Jackpots etc. Battleships is the same, yes we know it has Red7 on the intro but it gets offered as a SG/WMS game like for example the those crappy new 'MG' games developed by small in-house studios. Sometimes they are only found at specific casinos for a certain period before becoming more widely available.

There are now 25 active Meagreways slots.

Almost everyone's done a better job with the Megaways license since BTG's fluke crowning glory, Bonanza.

Everything else is like a watered- down VHS copy of what was once a novel concept

The Scientific Gaming/WMS Meagreways are Betamax....

'Meagreways' :D:thumbsup:

Yeah, was toying with that one for a few days once I'd got the idea in my head. Call it a 'celebratory tribute title' as we now have hit the quarter-century, the silver jubilee of the dreaded mechanic.

I maintain that Genie Jackpots is the best of the bunch. It pays out regularly, and with nice wins and frequent mini-bonuses. I don’t think anyone’s going to win a fortune from it, but for sheer fun it’s worthwhile.

Both providers cap winnings, I don't like that. I would love it if stories of people losing 50k or more (because of the cap on winnings) go public.

But caps on winnings have always applied in betting so unless they are real small i don,t see the problem.

Some sites have a cap of say quarter million on slots. Other slots have 10000x stake cap. All wins most would be happy with.

Think RTG slots have always has a cap on what they play which is even less.

Even sports betting all sites have a cap on what a bet can pay out. You could do an each way acca on 5 horses that will get bet accepted and if all win it should pay £5 million but most bookies would have Max payout capped at £1m. Long as people areaware what the cap is i don't see the problem.

Nothing to do with "wins we are happy with". If a slot has over 100,000x potential and then hides in the help file a "max 5,000x on maxbet" it is misleading.
With megaways it is like they go to extreme measures to let you think even 10,000,000x is possible, only to have a "max 5,000x" hidden in help file.

Sports betting is completely different because you choose the payout of your bet.

I guess the careful player reads the help file and adjusts betsize accordingly, but what about everybody else?

I got 30 on a separate Megaways page.

Didn't know where to stick this and was too lazy to start a new thread. Came across it today while going through the latest demo links.

The first time I saw such a low value. Max win in the base game or free spins is 500x bet, the rest gets cancelled. :what:

The top pay in the base game is also 500x bet for a 5OAK wilds. The free spins can have a multiplier x9 and higher, yet you would only get the 500x bet and the rest gets cancelled.

How does that affect the RTP is my question? Not to forget, that the limit is atrociously low.

The slot is from Realistic Gaming.

Think all there slots have similar.

I have played their time is money slot before and some stupid graphics thing and they have similar max wins.

Ok so on the games:

Battleship: Same as ive said before; shame they messed up what couldve been a decent release with a normal paytable. Now the game is tedious and crappy. 3/10.

Wolf Legend: Not that bad. Im not a huge a fan of incessant gambles etc as I always feel compelled to go for the "best" gamble, which means a lot of my session become dead. I feel like the big win potential disappears if you dont gamble max on most of these. It is also a bit dramatic to not only have a minigame, but a multichoice gamble for an extra 2-5 spins or so. Id rather just have all that effort put into one great FS round. I also think you're right about those mystery symbols D, which hurts the game a lot. Also has a way of not paying out even when I hit the full gamble (got 16 spins in total in the best case). The upside is that golden wolf highpayer is a nice thing to chase with serious potential. 6/10

Slot of Gold:
Can't be arsed playing this one too long, feels too generic and predictable. No rating.

Slots O'Gold ain't bad if you like the Starquest or Starburst format.

As for Wolf Legend (I think you meant!) yes, I had access to the demo menu and triggered the FS repeatedly with 6-scatter triggers. Each time it gave 13 - 19 spins, which I gambled for the 3 respins, longest odds chance. I ended up nearly every time with 24 or 25 spins, although once got 23. I've a feeling it's capped at 25? Anyways, all the features, about 8 in total paid 270-325x aside from one where I had a big hit and ended up at 670x. I think's it's a shit game.

I really don't :D Also have little patience for clones in general (not saying this is a pure clone, but the clonier the cronier as far as im concerned).

EDIT: And thanks, edited the comment above; Wolf Legend.

I bought the feature 100 times, out of that i got 84x 3-scatter triggers; and out of those 84 I got only twice past 9 spins before I had to head for the gamble. The round is in no way random, it is just too many times that it ends up at 9 free spins in the initial Golden Streak feature.

Plus, not once did it actually stay on 9 free spins after gamble, it always added at least one spin (felt like a little reward for gambling the feature), the most I had was 15. It just would not go past that.

Had a really bad streak and lost 11 gambles in a row with 7 - 10 free spins.

Not sure what to think, but it certainly looks like the "pseudo" gamble on BTG's WWTBAM. IMO, provider give players an illusion that there is something higher to achieve, after all gamblers are willing to risk. Yet, the result is in no way random or at least does not appear to be random.

Other than the gamble, Wolf Legend is a 100% clone of Bufallow Rising. I read somewhere that a guy tested the beta version and the title in small letters in the corner was still Buffallo Rising. Just plain sloppy.

Played it this morning and triggered the free spins with 3 bonus symbols!!!? Isn’t it 4 on Buffalo Rinsing and the like? Assume means it is easier to geT the bonus?

Wolf megaways catergorically states the gamble feature is representative of the odds of winning....

What a crock of fucking shit that is!! Or yet again I have managed to defeat the odds spectacularly!!

Thankfully was only playing on lowest stakes £15 buy in

About 15 features I purchased.... 2 of which gave 6 symbols and 19 and 17 spins to start....

Both had less than a quarter of the wheel as lose

Both lost

Out of the other features I lost more times than I won... in total got to play 5 features I think the best of which returned £20

Such bullshit!! Yet as ever they get away with lies just like wwtbam

I can handle getting poor features but I don’t like being lied to when it comes to perceived odds of winning and losing and if they lie about this what’s to say they don’t lie about rtp etc, it’s not as though the GC have a clue what’s going on in reality ,!

Rant over!

Yeah, BRM needs a four-scatter trigger. The free spins though are played with the same mechanic. Triggering with three or four scatters makes no difference, if the RNG issues a number for a bonus round, it will be a bonus round, no matter if it has to show 3 or 4 scatters.

I put the two against each other. Spot what is different. :D

I really need to start reading the help files....
