3 Dice: New 243 ways game, Kyoko's Quest

Hi Guys,

just a short note that the frequency and timing of animations has been updated. Kyoko will only do winanimations for 5 of a kind - no longer for 4 and the timing on the payout animations has been sped up substantially.

Keep the feedback coming :)

Cheers,

Enzo.

Just listening to players and actually use our feedback fix a problem that alone is a big plus.

I've mailed one other casino and gave them good tips on how they can fix their slots with adding autoplay etc and I didn't even get a response nor did I see any changes on that slot.

Anyways 3dice you are doing it right!

Well done Enzo!

I played it earlier today (before the upgrade) and it was PAINFUL - getting 2 wilds in the first 3 reels but only making loads of tiny 3-of-a-kind wins and waiting for the animations to finish was like a trip to the dentist!

Back to the slot... machine

Blew through about $80 last night; got the bonus feature 3 times, but I just can't see where any big wins are going to come from...
Unless it really is like Ching Ching where you have to collect all the pieces to get the free-spins.
Does anyone know - is all the potential in getting the 5th bonus?
If so, I'll have to deposit & carry on...

Hi KK,

The final bonus round does indeed pack a lot more punch (using the average feature triggering betsize as mentioned in the paytable. ). Are the speed updates improving the experience?

Cheers,

I got to the final bonus round in tournament mode. It paid less than 2 of the first 4.

Slight derail - Why does 3Dice bring itself to the front of all other programs running at random times? Even if I'm playing a full screen game the game will randomly drop down and 3Dice takes the focus of my computer.

Because the 3Dice application is so powerful, that rumor has it
YOU don't play at 3Dice, 3Dice plays YOU.

Yes, I found that out for myself earlier today, before you posted; got the 5th bonus and nearly won all my losses back.
Ran through it again to the 5th bonus and even hit some fairly decent wins in normal spins - when I got to the end I was slightly in profit for the slot, so I started again... but it's been pretty dead for a while & I'm currently way down again (not got to the 5th round yet).

The speed has improved a lot, but I have to say personally I am still frustrated by waiting for the animations on wins which are less than my total bet. Maybe you could consider a user setting which allows players to turn of the animations completely for wins below bet x N?

I have to say though, that the graphics overall are totally superb and I can see an awful lot of work went into producing this beautiful looking game.
And it's definitely growing on me!

Seems pretty low variance, which are the games I tend to like better anyway; lots of playtime with a small chance of a big (though not huge) win
Still waiting to get 4 or 5 scatters - that would be very exciting if it was on bonus 5!

Good assessment KK. I concur, especially with the animations for less than 10xbet wins. I think it would be even better to be able to stop the countup altogether or be able to just hit spin to stop it and continue.

Just wondering.....is this slot from an outside designer?

I hit 4 scatters on final round yesterday for 475xbet, which was nice. The only issue was that the whole bonus round was too short. It would be better IMO to maybe have to beat ALL the earlier rounds plus the current bonus round in one big final bonus game. I like to savor hitting a big win, and it was all over in 20 secs.

I also hit 100 x 10 for first time on AA. It paid about 450xbet which was disappointing given the potential (only one 5oak vanilla jacks), but not to be sneezed at....seemed to be more dead spins than the main game, but I may have just been unlucky in this regard on that occasion. Reached it from 3 scatters too....I've hit 4 scatters before and only made second row IIRC.

I actually still like the multi player slot, but find I don't get the wins I used to and am often alone in there, which makes it kinda dull.....along with more expensive.

As far as I know, it's the same team as I see their pages, logos and them testing it in the casino clinet/chat

Every account I've heard about this AA game has been the same as mine. 100x10 and between 65 and 80 dead spins. I got it yesterday and out of the 38 spins that did hit something one of them was 5 J's and only 2 of them had symbols higher than 9-A.

And as I'm typing this 3Dice jumps in front of the webpage and I have to minimize it. I've asked why it does this at least a dozen times.

lol, that can get frustrating; i have to look to type and will often look up to see im no longer typing where I meant to

Well, I took a new shot at the new Kyoko game at max bet in the all slots tournament.

Two bonus features that paid less than they cost to hit them and then one 400 dollar spin.

Then I put it on autospin with about $2600 and went for a shower. When I came back I had 8 dollars left. It autospun $2600 to 8 without a bonus feature. lol

I checked my RTP for that session. 53%

That's my third try and none of them have went well yet. Next tournament isn't until tomorrow so I'll try again then.

That's a very good point. It all builds up to the all-important 5th bonus round - but then that one is the easiest of all of then, not requiring any "skill" at all.
Not that I think "skill" effects the outcome of the other rounds either - I would guess that all the outcomes are pre-determined no matter how quick/slow accurate/useless you are at playing them.
It's a shame there are so few true skill games, apart from the 2 Rival and 3 Crypto ones: I'm sure they would be very popular with players even if the difference in RTP was only something like 98% for the most skillful players and 95% for the hopeless ones!

Anyway, back to Kyoko's: My third run through to the final showdown was very disappointing. Did hit some more nice 5oak wins in normal spins, but also experienced LONG dry spells of spins without even hitting any annoying bet x 0.2 wins :( It also seemed to take something like 200 spins between the 4th and the 5th lot of scatters - I even had to dip into my rainy-day funds to reach it - and then it didn't pay well anyway.
I am now a couple of 100 bucks down on it :(
(Betting quite high: varying between $1.25 to $3.25/spin)

So I need to change my earlier evaluation: Medium variance - you could get a big win for 4 or 5 scatters, but otherwise it's likely to suck you dry.
Not so keen on it now. It IS similar to Ching-Ching, in that before you start playing it you need to make sure you have the bank-roll and the stomach to see it right through the to final stage. This is not a slot for just "popping onto for just a few spins..."

I've always found that 243 ways to win games have an abnormally large amount of dead spins. Microgaming has tons of them and it amazes me how much less often you make lines of any kind considering they don't even have to line up. The very first time I played this Kyoko game it took me 24 spins to make my first line. Once I made one it started hitting a little more regularly but 2 dozen dead spins in a 243 ways to win game is so common it didn't even surprise me. That first session was actually the best if I remember correctly. It's been downhill from there.

The thing I don't like about slot games with activity based bonus rounds in place of free spins is it caps what you can win with a bonus round. Free spins with a multiplier gives you the potential to hit 5 of the highest paying symbols and then at least double or triple it's value. The maximum you can win in activity based bonus is rarely as high as the potential win from a good free spin round with a multiplier.

At the same time it does guarantee you win something where a free spin bonus could just hit zero every spin.... Like Arctic Adventure. :p

I went back to Kyoko for the all games tournament after the 2600 to zero without 3 scatters last time and wagered another 5k worth of spins and finally got a free spin. I wagered over 10k all together since my last bonus feature but I did get 4 scatters that paid 1200 at max bet. That put me 200 over my starting balance. (not counting the 2600 from the last session.)

Then I took the 2700 to roulette and hit zero 11 times in a row surrounding the number 26 at 225 a pop.

Game over. lol

I keep going back to this game in tournament mode but it really just seems to me that the bonus features rarely pay what they cost to hit them after the first feature.

This time my first feature took me from 2200 to 2800. That's normal. The first feature is usually quick and bumps me over my starting balance. It's rare that my balance ever stays over my starting balance after that.

Next feature came at 1000. ($1800 drop.)
Third feature came at 1000.
Fourth feature came at 1000.
After that it was a drop to 300 and a huge win of 1200 in one spin and then 1500 to zero and no final feature.

Total stake $10040 at $20 per spin. Over 500 spins never made it to the final feature. 75% RTP which is actually high for this game but that was the 1200 in one spin, I think. Without that one spin it was probably closer to 60% after 4 completed features.

And I closed the casino because in the time it took me to type this the casino popped in front of this web page twice. Apparently they're able to make their own software but can't figure out why it does this.
