Part two of a series of videos answering your questions about Casinomeister:

20 years of dealing with the world of online casinos. I answer: How does if feel getting old? What was my biggest mistake? How do I deal with blackmail and other threats? Where did Vortran007 come from? What's my favorite beer? And where to I get my shirts (explore the meister's closet).

All this and more...

Great video! Thanks for answering my question :)

Is that where the inspiration for the rogue logo came from? (Keiler mascot) :D

Actually, the rogue term was an inspiration from King Lear when the Earl of Kent meets Oswald. It's buried here somewhere in an old newsletter. I'll have to find it when i get back.

You mentioned something about old podcasts, are they still archived anywhere on this site?

I remember coming across the media section back in around 2005 and listening to them while playing Call of Duty. Seems like a long time ago now, but I remember really enjoying listening to them. With so much having changed in those years it would be fun to go back to listen to them again.

Yes, when we moved servers about a decade a go, these were hosted separately and were lost in the shuffle. I have the raw audio files still though, and it's just a matter of having several days set aside to redo these. It's pretty trippy listening to what was happening back then. They go back pre 9/11 which was a significant event that affected all forms of business. It pretty much changed the world as we know it.

The funny thing is that I give a lot of advice on these podcasts that can still be applied to today. This was before Malta and the UKGC got involved with the igaming industry.

@Casinomeister The strange thing is, the only thing I can remember now is one of the soundbites you used. It drove me crazy trying to find what it was from, but back then lyrics and movie scripts were the latest trend in copyright infringement disputes so search engines had them blocked.

I eventually found it though, I'm not sure if you'll even remember using this...

They're probably watching me. Well, let them. Let them see what kind of a person I am. I'm not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching... they'll see. They'll see and they'll know, and they'll say, 'Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly.'

Yeah, that was the last line from "Psycho" and the last soundbite I used at the end of most podcasts. And yes you are right - it is difficult to use long bites from films without being blocked. You can claim it as fair use (used in parodies and such) but I would need to replace the background music since I was using Tool and Erasure lol.

I still have most of the original raw files, so it's a matter of time of editing these.
