1K bankroll - min £20 bet - which machine would you hit?

So the scenario is you've got £1000 and have decided to try a quick hit and run to try and double your roll to 2K.

You've decided that your minimum bet size will be £20 but more if you decide.

Which machines would you choose?

Here is what I think is my answer:-

Wonky Rabbits - £30 a spin

Lot of quick hit potential on this machine. Walk after first > x10 win with wild.

Fruit Case - £20 a spin

Catch it right and you'll get some game time and the potential for decent wins from normal play. Hit a free spins and you're in heaven. Walk after a > x20 win.

Golden Ticket - £40 a spin

Lot of potential to bust out on this but get a bonus round and you can expect a > £700 return. Decent run into the bonus round can be 2k+

Note: I'd avoid energoonz. Seems to have longer dead streaks.

Fisticuffs - £20 a spin

Play for first wild bonus and hope its a good one. Walk once complete regardless of win size.

Gemix - £50 a spin

Whatever the outcome you'll get lots of playtime even at those stakes. Walk after first supercharged win or anything > £300 profit.

Interested to see what others think.

Cheers

Interesting thread.
I would defo play Netent slots when staking that kind of amounts, simply because I think you get the most game time on their slots regardless of your stake and bankroll.
I would play Lost Island / Attraction / Wild Rockets / Secret of the Stones, maybe a risk but the hit potential on these slots is very good.
Had a few very good hits on these slots on €1.00-€2.00 stakes.

I would not play other software like MGS or WMS as they simply can take way too long before triggering a bonus.
Last year I was up 2k at a certain casino and played Kronos and Bierhaus on €20.00 a pop and well €500.00 was gone very quickly LOL...Still cashed out a very decent profit but I was hoping to hit a biggie on those €20.00 bets. :p

Novomatic slots (Book of Ra, Lucky Lady Charm, Katana) are being played also at very high bets by high rollers because of the very big win potential in FS rounds but way too volatile if you just gonna do it as a once off.

Just my 2 cents. :)

I'd say your own summary is quite o.k., although in my experience it's just the other way around regarding Energoonz and Golden Ticket:) I think in that last Wonky Wabbits i's the worst option though. Regardless of the win potential, you also have the largest likelihood it will give you 50 dead spins...

My personal attempt with a 1K BR to spare, deffo, Dead or Alive at 9,- a pop! Regardless of how long it takes: double up (or more), or bust, would be my scenario.

I also would consider a Quickspin slots session, with "only" 10,- Euro average spins, preferably on Epic Journey, the new Second Strike, or one of their streaky med variance slots (Jewel Blast, FireStorm or Illuminous)

There's so much fun to be had with a 1K BR though:)

If it's something your going to do, then please keep us posted!

Well, if that were me I would look at playing a Progressive jackpot game. Much against general opinion, I do have a soft spot for the Playtech Marvel games (Spiderman probably out on top) and a bonus round can yield good returns. Add in the chance of the progressive jackpot round ( I have had 4 chances on this round so far - best return was £1800) and a shot for a current jackpot of £80k. All my progressive chances came from £2.50 spins, so more chance getting picked if wagers are higher.

I'm with incrediblestuff here - my experience is the opposite (and I play both quite a lot).
At first I thought they were exact clones - I've not looked into this, but I think they could be.

I agree with your choice of low-variance games for a quick "Hit and Run" - though you're not very likely to make a huge profit.

If it were me (and it wasn't MY money), I would bet big on South Park, Evolution or Jack and the Beanstalk.

Are you actually going to do this crazy betting?

KK

Steam Tower for a quick feature at £20.
Blood Suckers £25. Decent coffin or free spins will give you enough.
Sugar Pop (Betsoft) you can even play £50-£100 per spin because it's extremely low variance but has a rather competitive house edge. Will give you a win on almost all spins but rarely a big one. Could even spin £200 if allowed.

Basically all low variance games with a colossal betsize might do the trick.

And by the way. The best chance to hit your target is Blackjack. £500 per hand. If you lose play slots with the remaining balance.

Is it really that crazy? :-/ It's something I do from time to time but not always following a predetermined plan and not always £20+. Maybe I'll pull my play history from last night and show.

I think your machine choices are very likely to end in bust. South park will eat coins quickly at high stakes....jack will slowly eat you....evolution... I'd guess the same. That said...I hit free spins on that slot @ £100 a spin and banked my biggest win from a slot of just over 10k. Roll saving spin too....imagine!

@lotusch

I think those choices are hella crazy :-) Play any of those @ £20 a spin and see how much it sucks and how quickly you bust out. Maybe you have a better chance to go beyond 2k if you get the hit but I'd guess you bust more times than winning.

I'll start another thread on this because it's worthy of its own but certain netent games are absolutely dreadful once you crank up the bet size and I think your choices fall into that category.

given your bet size you will only get 40 to to 50 spins, no? Maybe even less with some of the choices.

Is there a chance of hitting anything big with 40 50 spins. Or given the bet size even the smallest win will double your bank roll. All random as they keep telling us...

If you go ahead and do this Let us know how you do. Very curious.:)

@stevie,

Yes not so many spins so I think machine selection is key. With 1k you can't be getting involved with some that bonus once every 150 spins.

I'm not sure if I'll actually run the above...it was meant to be a more a rough guide as to how I would approach such a challenge and I'm interested how much as others would.

But I will say that I played all of those bets last night so if a get a moment I'll see if I can pull my gaming history to see how I did. From memory I hit wonky, golden ticket and fruit case and small losses on fisticuffs and gemix. In terms of game play gemix was probably the best and wonky gave the biggest win....two wilds expanding to four on spin 5. Exactly the start you need.

i would say YES i have had just as many bonus rounds on my first 40-50 spins as i have on spin 140-150
it only takes one spin to win :)

Don't know if they have WMS slots if they do i would play RR €20 a pop
If they don't i would play Evolution ... If they have Play n Go i would play some Pimped .....these slots have done well for me in the past at these stakes

Well it was just a personal opinion mate. ;)
That would be slots I'd choose as I have good experiences with them, even if these were on moderate €1.00 - €2.00 bets.
Lost Island for example is rock steady for me and I am up at nearly every casino I have played this slot with some amazing hits in the FS rounds.

Hope I didn't offend you chief - wasn't my intention :-)

Re: lost island....I recently had a bad session on that so I've got bad memories. The amount of two scatters was heartbreaking :'-(

Interesting others mentioned steamtower. That slot has been semi hot for me lately and I hit lvl 7 for the first time (3000 coins bonus) while playing at £4.5. I wonder if anyone else has noticed how the bonus will drop with twice within a few spins of each other. If you get free spins... Always play a few more spins after...it's suspiciously regular!

Interesting....
I do £20 spins if my bankroll is at least 2k.
I have played thunderstruck 2 loads on £15 spins, my best is 2800 off the features.
Not great I know!

Once I had £4K bank roll, I played southpark with £20 spins then got bonus round after a grand!
the bonus is the one with 9 bushes, It kept doubling and ended up with £25k in total.
That was 2 years ago.

I have tried big bets at raging rhino and montezuma still waiting for A big one!

Just tried Lost Island as I have never played it before. I have played shitty slots before but this one takes the cake. Worse slot ever! I will have to add this to my never play again list. Sorry Lotusch -- we all have luck with different slots and this one is a definite burr up my ass.

MG 9 liners at 18 a pop thats what i would do, i love to play them at higher bets, dunno but they have done it for me in the past and still do sometimes.

Then the recommendation would be carnival. Big top. Reel thunder. What a hoot. Ladies night. Agent jane blonde. Adventure palace. Crazy 80s. Party island khatemandu. Spring break.:cool::thumbsup:

Don't do it!! Make 4-5 bets to see what happens and stop if you don't get lucky.

Now what game.
All my netent expirience is free spins that pay 10%-20% of their worth. So no netent.
Maybe some videopoker, or MG low variance. Or go big with IR! It has a 30 max bet! :D

Aw I am sorry Barbara... :o
I have the same with a very good friend to be honest.
He sometimes told me to play a slot and it would demolish my bankroll while he keeps winning on it and vice versa.

Yer I am really lucky on that slot I suppose.

Option 1: £25 Spins on Secret of the stones.

Option 2: £20 Spins on Creature from the black lagoon.

Option 3: £30 Spins on Glitz/Bruce Lee

i thought it would be fun to try this out so i did a bit of an experiment. in fun mode of course!
here are the results:

i always started with 1k. and bet sizes were $18 to $21 depending on the game.

doa: doubled my 1k within 30 spins hit fs within first few spins which of course has never happened to me ever when i play with my own money!
grande spinata: busted out very quickly...i went about 20 spins without one win. never hit free spins.
immortal romance: doubled my money within ten spins. hit wild desire, 3 wilds...i have never been lucky on this game!!! needless to say never happens to me.
carnevale: tripled my money
big top: doubled my money after a long haul
agent jane blonde: busted out
ladies night: busted out within 20 minutes. forgot how fast this game is compared to the new ones.
spring break: busted out after a long haul
fisticuffs disaster. busted out.

moral of the story: random as all hell.

c'est tout.

After thinking about it again I'd go on Jekyll and Hyde(if it's allowed) at €20 spins or preferably maximum €10 spins it has special stacked symbol of Hyde in feature that payout 7500 for 5 of these(on a 243 ways!!) meaning if you get a lot of these you win enormous!! So imagine the win at 10-20€ a pop!!!

Next game if I got up really high is Pyramid yes it eats fast but I completed 1300 wagering mainly from this game at 20p spins. From a 31.60 starting balance...This surely shows the extreme streaky nature means perfect for winning and wagering on.

Now THERE'S a game that has killed me in the past :p! I once spent hundreds at £1 a spin chasing the feature on that! Never got it! Weirdly addictive game.

Having seen the wonky wabbits suggestion on here, I just went and tried it having previously been killed by it, turned £17 into £103 on 60p spins in 20 spins, with about 5 big wins in 10 spins :eek2:

Had my fair share of bad luck on JnH too. It's really streaky I found once you get feature once it just keeps coming frequently.

Wonky wabbits also really streaky goes on runs of no wins then hits huge big wins from nowhere. Not played it in a while. Had a great run at casino room on it.

Here are my stats from 6th Jan : -

Row Labels Number of spins P/L

Golden Ticket (£40ps) 12 440
Wonky Wabbits(£30ps) 9 860
Fisticuffs(£20ps) 12 -125
Fruit Case(£10,£20,£50ps) 207 620
Gemix (£50ps) 71 312.4

Grand Total 311 2107.4

Total wagered : 8140

I guess that run influenced my selection but I play those games at those stakes for a reason which is I think they have better potential for big wins from little game time.

Looking at those stats the fruit case session definitely went on much longer then I'd have liked so I think that one might not make the cut again but I can't think of an obvious replacement.

Cheers

...in no particular order:

Raging Rhino - (Luck would have to be on your side but 81 ways on Rhinos pays 12k)
Gold - (always delivers free spins and with a re-trigger the bonus can pay a safe 100x which doubles your money of you catch it early)
Book of Ra - (You could walk away with 5k if it goes your way - I've turned 100 into 500 on this with £2 staking)
Twin Spin - (holds balance well and can deliver a few Mega wins)
Immoral Romance (50 spins to do your brains and you most possibly will)

Would never play wonky wabbits, never get a good hit on there but if your playing big stakes then a small win pays big and golden ticket is definitely good for regular medium wins, and gemix, it can rinse you just as quick aswell. I was playing it at £10 a spin the other day, £500 gone in 10 minutes. Always get the big hits at £1 stake, was just playing it at £5 a spin and managed a £1000 hit though. Best slot at the moment, on world 170.
