And he was.

Guess how many posts he has done since? I'll give you a clue....the answer is "less than 1".

Only confirmed what I knew all along....that he was a freeloader. I've been getting proved right ever since.

I didn't enter this comp and frankly I am really glad I didn't.
Because if I had missed out (despite the decent odds of winning a prize) and seen a number of CLEAR AND OBVIOUS FREELOADERS not only scooping up ANY of the prizes, but the top prizes to boot (THREE OF THE TOP FOUR!! ), then I would have been LIVID.

Commiserations to you @lukey141 by the way. Same goes to @geordiecolin @ternur @Jono777 @ESCJAMIE @lucks_maximus @sufferinsilence. You all got SCREWED in my opinion.

Even with the freeloaders removed, a few of you would still have missed out. But at least an ACTIVE AND REGULARLY CONTRIBUTING member would have won at your expense.

Really sends a great message to the contributing members of the forum when a mere FOUR people with the following "activity records" get to scoop up OVER 40% OF THE TOTAL PRIZE POOL.....

1. Member since June 22. Total posts before comp: 14. So not even four posts PER YEAR.
2. Member since October '09. Total posts before comp: 68. So four posts PER YEAR
3. Member since Feb this year. Total posts before comp: 34. So five posts per MONTH. OH WOW. The NUMBERS ARE GETTING BETTER!!

Oh. Hasn't posted outside a comp thread since July 7th. Hmmm.....so. Not really active HUH?

4. Member since Feb this year. Total posts before comp: 26. Had already been DQ'ed from a previous comp (the Fury of ANUS one) for doing no posts outside a comp thread for over three and a half months.

Yeah. Real active dat.

I am not adding fuel to the fire @Webzcas and i respect your decision regarding letting some people stay in the comp but @Rudia 's comment yesterday felt like a punch in the gut. He is trying to behave like he got to take part in the contest because it was in the rules. You made it clear that some people were allowed only because the contest wasnt open to all and we needed entries.

I made a "subliminal" post regarding a consolation prize, given my time served and contributions here, it was a polite way of moaning about what you and others have said about forum contribution etc.

It seems to me it wasn't even acknowledged, maybe next time I need to be a little more direct eh?

A small token here and there does wonders for the motivation side of things, being overlooked and having free loaders fill my boots does the opposite and although never say never, it is unlikely I'll make such efforts moving forward.

The small band of reputable and trusted, time served posters here are what keep this place alive IMO.

What puzzles me is that since this issue arose a long time ago already and after all the following fruitful input and long discussions between members and staff a few months back regarding who would be eligible to enter the contests - which culminated in CM explicitly stating in the rules that:

"Very important: Exclusive competitions at Casinomeister are provided to the forum members for the entertainment and enjoyment of our community. We expect all participants in competitions to be active in the forum and not just turning up in competition threads. Members that only interact with competition threads and don't contribute to the forum in any other way may find themselves suspended or excluded from forum competitions. We reserve the right to amend the rules if we find someone abusing the competition"

- this suddenly didn't become an issue anymore. It's like that rule, that discussion never happened.

I understand - and appreciate - that the many contests we have need sponsors to be the all month thing we are currently offered, but does that mean the sponsors have to dictate how the contests are run? Because the rule I quoted above felt like a very strong principle and fully in the spirit of CM and its community, so when it goes out the window just like that, the whole thing has a dispicable sense of sell-out to it, IMHO.

It is an abuse of their own rules and signals nothing to those who are regular members that post often.
I understand the need for the owners to despreately attract new members but in time they will learn not to disrespect real forum contributers.
This forum was founded on the principle of standing for the average player and to guide them through there casino experience.
Now it seems to be guided principally by their search for more traffic and income at the expence to their regular posters.
My guess is that it will piss off more posters than it gains.
What is more I guess it will eventually piss off the forum staff as much as the regulars.
I already see so many of the usual posters posting or getting involved with "promos"
Rules and regulations may shift dependant on management stipulations.
Bring back Mr Casinomeister.

Some positive aspects of this competition: easily the best one of 2025/26. Huge prizepool, a fun way to gain entries and cheap to get 6/13 entries(costs <70c is you were smart) so good for those who don't like risking alot of money. 24 entries, 15 prizes with 100eur for 15th. Bierfest wasted a few hours of my time before it got fixed lol.

2slotornot looks like they managed to run their ~$10 into 13/13 entries and a 225EUR win, very nice.

Good morning all, all winners I will be contacting this morning. Also I have read and taken on board all comments. It is a fine balancing act and I do understand why some of you are aggrieved.

As I say to my kids, live and learn from life's experiences. Which I will be taking heed of.

It is a fine balancing act to please everyone running these competitions and believe it or not a lot of groundwork goes into them to ensure they are interesting and varied enough.

Alas Bryan has retired and yes the place is not the same without him, but we are trying to ensure this place remains as he intended. FWIW I speak with him pretty much every other day still.
