"Bob Casino is a Rogue Casino - Find Out Why YOU Should Avoid It..."
Bob Casino represents almost everything that’s wrong with the online gambling industry. The shady operator frequently ignores complaints, stalls player withdrawals and – in some cases – even makes players pay to be able to withdraw their funds. Find out why we placed Bob Casino in our Rogue Casino section in this Bob Casino review.
From the moment we first landed on Bob Casino, we noticed there was something not quite right. Indeed, a quick look at the website’s footer revealed the following message: “Bob Casino was named with no reference to Bob Marley intended. The site content is written in a purposefully jocular manner. The site does not encourage or condone any form of substance abuse.”
Clearly, this is not a good look for an online casino – and while the site looks modern, slick and well made – the reality is, they, in our opinion, made a terrible choice in choosing to combine a drugs theme with online gambling – and it’s something we’re amazed regulators aren’t taking a harsher stance on.
In the past, Bob Casino was licensed in Curacao. Somehow, however, they could receive a license from the Malta Gaming Authority – which means many players will now see the casino is legitimate and trustworthy. However, be warned; if you play at Bob Casino and win big, there’s a good chance you will NOT be paid your winnings. And even if you are, it’s likely to take a long time – with frequent delays and stalls. Obviously, they don’t accept players from the United Kingdom. But if you’re from the UK – or especially any other place, you need to find out more about this shady site in our Bob Casino review.
Clearly, in an attempt to entice newbies into joining their shady online casino, Bob Casino has chosen to provide a “great” selection of promotions and bonuses. While these welcome bonus and casino bonus offers may look great, from the outside, be warned that they tend to come with stringent terms and conditions – and the casino will do all they can to confiscate your winnings should you manage to end up winning. That being said, this is a casino review – and we told you we’d show you why we don’t recommend playing at the casino – so we’ll be outlying things as they are.
Bob Casino offers players a welcome bonus on their first three deposits. This welcome package allows you to claim a bonus on your first deposit, second deposit and third deposit.
On your first deposit, using the bonus code “BEHAPPY” will give you a 100% matched deposit bonus of up to $100. Besides, you will also be awarded 100 free spins to use on a video slot called Boonmanji. These spins are credited at a rate of 25 per day.
On your second deposit, using the code “JUNGLE”, we will award you a 50% matched deposit bonus of up to $200. Finally, on the third deposit, using the bonus code “BOBONELOVE” will give you a 50% matched deposit bonus up to $200, and you’ll also get 30 free spins.
Looking at the terms and conditions, things don’t seem too bad from the outside. The wagering requirements are 40X for all bonuses – not bad – and the max bet is $5, which is similar to what we’d expect to see at well-licensed and regulated sites. However, it’s not just wagering requirement restrictions you need to consider; Bob Casino has a huge range of game restrictions – and if you play just one of these games with your bonus active, that’s it – your bonus is null and void, and you lose the lot.
The site is notorious for doing everything they can to find reasons not to pay players – so don’t be tempted into claiming their deposit bonus; their usage of Bob Marley and awarding free spins is clearly an attempt to make players feel relaxed – and like they’re getting a great deal – but the reality couldn’t be any further from the truth.
Considering that it’s highly unlikely Bob Casino would ever pay you out anyway were you to end up winning, we were quite surprised to see that they don’t provide any no-deposit bonuses or no deposit free spins offers. Naturally, this means you don’t need to worry about keeping an eye out for bonus codes. Occasionally, the online casino offers 10 free spins to new players – but this 10 free spins promotion is not running at the time of this review (thankfully.)
Bob’s Rewards is the name of the loyalty program available at Bob Casino, and this program is structured with 22 different levels. When you play real money games at the site (and remember, we highly recommend that you don’t), you’ll begin to accumulate points. Each point is worth around $20 in bonus credit – and once you’ve accumulated enough, you can exchange them for free spins, a casino bonus or reload bonuses. Any bonuses or free spins you get from the loyalty program come with wagering requirements of 3X – and, again, there’s a plethora of other terms and conditions attached, likely put in place to try and reduce your chances of converting the bonus by breaking the rules unwittingly!
There is a VIP program at Bob Casino, but, keeping in line with the rest of the site’s shady operation, it’s not transparent at all – and we weren’t able to find out any information about the scheme from the casino. Likely, this VIP program is invitation-only – although we do question who’d stick around long enough at the site to be eligible to become a VIP!
Bob Casino provides quite a few payment methods – the more naive customers they can rip off, the better, after all – and they allow deposits and withdrawals using: VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Neteller, Skrill, Paysafecard, ecoPayz, Bank Transfer, Trustly, iDebit, Instadebit, Interact and, sometimes, by cheque.
The minimum deposit for most payment methods is $10, and the casino doesn’t charge any fees when you make a deposit; how very generous of them.
Most of the payment methods Bob Casino accepts for deposits can also be used for withdrawals – although this is where things start to get very iffy at the casino. They claim to allow “instant withdrawal methods” – with the maximum pending time taking “12 hours or less” – but from what we’ve seen here on the forum and at other casino review websites, it’s clear this is a time-frame that’s rarely kept. Withdrawals are often stalled – often under the guise of carrying our responsible gambling checks or account verification – and it can take the casino weeks to process just a couple of simple documents.
If by some miracle, you are able to make a withdrawal, you should be aware that the maximum withdrawal per day is $4,000, and you can’t withdraw more than $10,000 in a week and $40,000 in a month.
Pretty much the only good thing about Bob Casino is the fact that the website is pretty easy-to-use and easy-to-navigate; the user interface is clean and slick, and a modern look and feel do make the site look somewhat professional.
Don’t be fooled, however; the good-looking graphics don’t change anything – and this is a rogue casino that should be avoided at all costs.
In terms of a mobile casino, Bob Casino doesn’t offer a dedicated mobile app, but their website is fully mobile-optimized. This means you can load up the casino website on your mobile devices and begin playing straight from within your internet browser.
With a license from the Malta Gaming Authority (and we’re still as shocked as anyone else to learn they were actually awarded it), Bob Casino is now required to carry out KYC (Know Your Customer) checks on their customers when they reach certain deposit or withdrawal thresholds.
However, one of the most common complaints at the casino is that players are able to deposit as much as they like – and the KYC check is only requested when a player makes a withdrawal for the first time. This is a massive red flag, and it shows you just how desperate the casino really is to try and worm their way out of paying out legitimate winnings to players. Also this does not allow players to play responsibly now, does it.
Surprisingly, Bob Casino does offer a number of responsible gambling tools, including deposit limits, loss limits, wager limits and session time limits. However, we should point out that it’s highly unlikely that this is a case of the casino actually caring for their players; instead, it’s simply a requirement of their license conditions from the MGA, so don’t give the casino too much credit here.
Thankfully, you can self manage all of the responsible gambling tools. If you feel as though your online gambling is getting out of control, you can also choose to take a time-out- for up to 6 weeks – or permanently self-exclusion, for anywhere from 6 months to a permanent ban.
Originally, Bob Casino was is owned and operated by Direx N.V., a company registered and established under the laws of Curacao and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Direx Limited, registered address Stasinou 1, MITSI Building 1, 1st Floor, Flat/Office 4, Plateia Eleftherias, Nicosia, Cyprus. Direx N.V. is licensed and regulated by Antillephone N.V. Direx N.V.’s registration number is 131879, and its registered address is E-Commerce Park Vredenberg, Curacao.
However, it appears as though they’ve now ditched the Direx N.V side of things – and, from what we can tell, the site is now owned and operated in full by N1 Interactive Ltd – a company based in Malta.
The site holds one online gambling license from the Malta Gaming Authority – which, admittedly, is an improvement from their old Curacao license – but the casino has a long way to go in building back its reputation – that is, if they even have the desire to.
While the community here at Casinomeister hasn’t actually lodged many complaints with Bob Casino, we like to think the main reason behind this is simply due to the fact that we’ve been very vocal about how players should not join the site. Look at other casino review websites, however, and you’ll see the sites littered with complaints, stalling with withdrawals, long delays with KYC account verification checks and awful customer support.
The casino claims to offer a complaints procedure – but, again, from what we’ve read, even if you do submit a formal complaint, you’re likely to be waiting a significant amount of time before you receive a response. Yet, another reason you should strongly consider against playing at Bob Casino.
Bob Casino offers a live chat facility – although don’t be too impressed, as live chat is offered at even the worst casinos on the planet. The live chat function lets you speak with a member of the customer support team in a couple of minutes – and while we found the live chat waiting times to be minimal, the team often appears blunt and unhelpful – especially if you’re getting in touch regarding a complaint. You’d think that they would be available 24/7, but methinks it’s the bots working 24/7 not live persons.
You can also choose to email the casino – although we’d say there’s a good chance this email gets “lost” in cyberspace – or that you’ll get a response weeks after sending it – so in case you needed yet another reason not to join Bob Casino – there you go! User experience = “meh”!
Many new players will land on Bob Casino’s website and see their large selection of games, automatically assuming the brand is trustworthy and reputable. Unfortunately, game developers can often be found at some of the shadiest casinos on the planet – so just because you see big-name brands, do not assume that casino is legit.
Bob Casino hosts games from software providers including Pragmatic Play, SoftSwiss, NetEnt, Betsoft, Endorphina, Amatic, EGT, Evolution Gaming, Elk Studios, Microgaming, Play’n Go, Thunderkick, Yggdrasil Gaming, WMS, Red7, SG Gaming, Bally, and Wazdan.
The majority of games available at Bob Casino are slot games, and this is what the online casino appears to focus its efforts on promoting most. For example, they regularly push the slot “Book of Aztec” – despite it being a relatively poor game with fairly low win-potential when compared to many of the other games we’re seeing pushed out today.
Similarly, we saw a lot of Pragmatic Play games being offered – a software provider who, themselves, are in the midst of a controversy surrounding fake money streaming and, potentially, changing the RTP settings of their games for promotional use. Expect to see titles like Wolf Gold and Madame Destiny shown throughout the site.
As a slight saving grace, there are some slot games from reputable, legitimate game developers like NetEnt and Quickspin. However, just because there are a few decent game developers on offer does not mean you should consider joining the site – and if you do, please remember you’re doing so at your own risk.
To try and make themselves look even more credible, Bob Casino has managed to secure a partnership with Evolution Gaming – a very reputable casino when it comes to living dealer games, and this came as a shock to us, as even Evolution usually tends to stay away from the more shady, dodgy casinos.
Still, that’s who powers the live dealer casino – and you’ll find a number of live games at Bob Casino, including Monopoly Live, Lightning Roulette, Deal or No Deal Live, Dream Catcher, Speed Roulette and Auto Roulette.
Accessing live games is pretty straightforward, and you’ll find them all offered under the “Live Games” tab on the top-most navigation menu. Here, you can then scroll through all the live dealer games on offer while also sorting them down by type. If they are available 24/7, well we didn’t stick around to find out. We are not sure if players want to do the same thing.
Bob Casino hosts a large selection of Roulette and Blackjack games, although there’s no dedicated table games tab – so you need to search for these games by name using the search bar function – unless you want to play the live versions of them. Those games are available.
When it comes to Roulette, like most online casinos, Bob Casino provides pretty much the standard offering, so you’ll find Maxi Roulette, European Roulette, Roulette with Track, American Roulette and French Roulette.
It’s a similar story with Blackjack – again, you can’t search for Blackjack casino games directly – so you’ll need to use the search function unless you want to play live casino games. Some of the Blackjack games on offer at Bob Casino includes Multi-Hand Atlantic City Blackjack, Classic Blackjack, European Blackjack, Vegas Downtown Blackjack, Vegas Single Deck Blackjack and Vegas Strip Blackjack.
Today, most online casinos offer a selection of other casino table games and video poker machines – so don’t give much credit to Bob Casino for offering the same. Their selection of other casino table games is limited and includes a few versions of Baccarat, along with Caribbean Beach Poker, Caribbean Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker and Three Card Poker.
Their video poker selection is very small when compared against other online casinos – and you’ll find just a few machines to play, including All Aces Poker, Jacks or Better 4 Play Power Poker and Joker Poker.
Under the “Jackpot” tab, you’ll find a number of progressive jackpot games at Bob Casino – although we’d recommend playing these even more intensely, your chances of being paid out a progressive jackpot would be doubtful!
Still, it’s only fair we show you what the site’s all about – so we’ll run through a few of the most popular progressive jackpot slots. At the time of writing, these included 10 Burning Heart, 100 Joker Staxx, 10,001 Nights, 20 Diamonds, Aloha party and Breakout Bob.
